The combination of the stretch mesh fabric with suede sole patches molds and moves with the foot. The sole patches are placed in the areas dancers need protection the most. The upper is made of a four-way stretch mesh nylon with Lycra and is fully breathable and completely comfortable, non-abrasive and forms the perfect structure for minimalist design. Where is the gel?

    by: Yulia - 01/09/2015

    Comfort: 2 star rating

    Durability: 3 star rating

I do not understand why these lyrical-dance half-soles (aka foot undies) are called "gelz". There is hardly any gel in these half-soles to be able to be called "gelz". Each half-sole has two suedelikeke patches on the bottom, and the patch that is supposed to lie directly under the ball of the foot (which, sadly does NOT, due to the perplexing and bizarre design of the half-soles), has a dimunitive triangle shaped patch located in the center, filled with some bafflingly firm cushion material (which, I presume, is supposed to be the "gel"). The other sudelike patch, which is supposed to lie directly under the toes (which also does not due to the abysmal construction of these half-soles), contains a subtly larger amount of the strange cushiony material (again, FootUndeez's poor excuse for "gel"), but it really makes no difference. I was hoping for some adequately padded half-soles that cover the ball of my feet and give me comfort in my contemporary dancing, but to no avail. Besides the fact that there is virtually no "gel" in these half-soles, the construction and design of these is simply lamentable. Their atrocious construction makes them slide around the foot, especially while turning (or rather, while attempting to turn), while being extremely snug around the metatarsals (in a very anomalous way).

    Great footundeez

    by: rs12 - 11/10/2013

    Comfort: 5 star rating

    Durability: 4 star rating

These are very comfortable and durable. Last me a year which is long for any of my dance shoes. I can do a triple in these without them twisting under my feet. The gel pads prevent your metatarsal from aching after hours of dancing. The seam started to rip after a good year of use, and I'm back to buy another pair.

When I tried these on (I wear a medium in dance paws and the medium fit fine in the jelz) they seemed so comfortable and were a great color for me. But when I started to dance in them, the gel soles were really distracting for me - I could feel them very distinctly under my feet when I danced, which was sort of annoying. Also, the soles seemed to be in entirely the wrong place for my feet - when I turned, the soles had shifted too far down so I was turning on the tops of the soles/on the mesh material rather than on the soles themselves. Lastly, after only wearing them for about 20 minutes in a very light rehearsal, the stitching on the soles started to break, which was ridiculous. I'm not sure if the broken stitches would have led to the soles coming off, but any seam breakage seemed silly after such little use.

    Awesome for barefoot dancing

    by: Arii - 09/30/2012

    Comfort: 5 star rating

    Durability: 5 star rating

    Fit: True to size

I really love dancing barefoot for my Competiton Team practices so I got these so my feet wouldnt hurt so bad afterwards. Alot of people at my studio have them, so I decided to give them a try. They are super comfy and you can still feel the floor with them on, sometimes I forget that Im even wearing them. The jel is better then the regular FootUndeez. Theyre true to size...I got a medium and they fit Perfectly!

These have much better than the regular footundeez, but the gel makes it hard to feel the floor and really easy to slip, so I would recommend regular footundeez over these.

I just got these today i used them a few times around the house and I love them. I've read many review saying how they run small and that's what I thought when I got them but they stretch slightly when you put them on. They're snug, but not uncomfortable. And I'm pretty sure within time they'll stretch to completely shape your foot. And when you think about it, it's a good thing they're snug, because you don't want them falling off your feet. My only complaint so far is that you have to put them on so the pads are on the balls of your feet and they shift just a tiny bit when you turn. Other than that, perfect!! PS: I'm a 6 and got a small :) the smalls are about 3 inches wide when you're not wearing it :)

    Super comfy!

    by: Sensitive feet - 04/01/2011

    Comfort: 4 star rating

    Fit: True to size

When I dance bare foot, it tends to really hurt my arches and mainly the balls of my feet. These have jell in all the right places and makes me feel like i can dance all day with these! They really help me turn with ease. the only only only problem with them is that they get dirty quickly. if your dance floor is spotless you will have absolutely no problem with these :)
