    SO SO PRODUCT

To tell the truth, the bands are very weak, even for someone with extremely weak feet as I have. They give almost no resistance and tear very easily. The exercise booklet might be helpful to someone who has no idea at all how to use resistance bands, but one can look it up on the internet without spending the money.

    RESISTABANDS ARE EFFECTIVE

My daughter just received these bands and can't stop using them. She felt sore the day after using them for the first time so they must be doing the job, which is strengthening her legs for dancing. The book offers excellent suggestions for strengthening the muscles, a big plus!

    IT'S OKAY

This is a great product for strengthening I believe. I got this set when I was extremely young, and I had lost the yellow band and the booklet. Now I only have the orange band, with a small tear in it. I still use it though, and it works perfectly. While I was at a summer intensive at Joffrey, we had a strengthening class and we used these. I don't believed be used this company, because the color of my band was grey, and it was much stronger than both the yellow and orange bands. Even though the bands aren't very strong, I still use it, and it helps. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who was looking for something that would help strengthen their feet and ankles.

The bands are a bit more flimsy comparing to my Bunheads ones. But the booklet is excellent! I would get it even just for the booklet.

The book is helpful, but the bands are quite bad. Each one is too thin, and doesn't provide much resistance. I try to double them up and use them that way.

I actually used a heavier band than the ones it came with, but I really liked the exercises! It was nice how each exercise was designed to help specific ballet exercises, and it was clearly laid out for you!

    GREAT!

I love these! I also love the activities to do! The only problem is they are not that strong... I put them together and it seems to be strong enough!

I used exercise bands in my pre-pointe class a long time ago, so when I saw these (also a while ago, they were the only exercise bands offered on this site at the time) I ordered them. It came with two bands. I kept one and gave one to my little sister who was just getting ready to start pointe. They are extremely light weight and mine ripped in half almost immediately. Hers didn't rip, but neither of us found that they offered much resistance.

what is the difference between the orange band and the yellow one?

They are two different widths and therefore, two different strengths. One will be stronger than the other.
    - DDS Customer Service (02/24/2014)

Gaynor Minden has since updated their information: the white band is stronger and has more resistance than the pink band. The exercises in the booklet are intended for more repetitions at lower resistance, to develop long muscles for ballet, so these bands have relatively light resistance. - Ddsmarketing (03/09/2016)

    Band strength?

What are the strengths of these? Is one stronger than the other?

These are just the standard resistance. However, we do offer Bunheads Exercise Bands which come in 3 different strengths. The style numbers are BH511, BH512, and BH513
