  • Really Helps with Arabesque

    by: ZipperProblems - 03/08/2016

    Comfort:

    Durability:

I love the Flexistretcher. My back feels more flexible and stronger than ever, and I'm seeing improvement in my penche. Not the best tool for stretching side and front extension, I recommend the I-Flex Jr. for that. The I-flex is good for stretching, but you do need the Flexistretcher to build strength. Once my friends tried it they all went out and bought one ;0

  • Helps you stretch your leg extensions

    by: Shuqi - 10/13/2015

    Comfort:

    Durability:

The flexistretcher is great to use. My favorite excercise to do with it is penche. I like how you can easily stretch with the flexistretcher and practice resistance and balance. You can read the little cards that came with it or watch videos online to learn how to use it. I also brought it to class and all my friends wanted to use it too. It is a little expensive though.

    by: YAGP2012 - 03/12/2015

    Comfort:

    Durability:

I love this product, it really helped me with my arabesque and attitude. My side extensions are improving and I felt like I saw improvement within 2 or 3 days, its a bit confusing to use at first but it comes with an instruction book so that resolves it. I really recommend you use this, and have fun with it! :)

  • amazing device

    by: dancerwoman - 09/26/2014

I have only used my new flexistretcher once and already I can tell a difference! My hamstring and quadriceps muscles feel so much more limber after just one use. You do not have to be super limber to use this device. You can make modifications in your positions until you get looser. I like to use it with a special stretch video that I do after a ballet workout. If it can help an "old" lady like me, then I bet it could help you too. The only complaint I have is the price. I think it ought to be lower, maybe $35-40 dollars at most.

  • Great for Stretching

    by: dancemomforlife - 03/05/2014

My daughter was so excited to start using her Flexistretcher. She actually stretched from the moment she got it for about two hours! She loves it and it helps her stretch more than she could stretch on her own. I highly recommend the Flexistretcher!

  • Useful and Good Design

    by: ginaDance - 09/22/2013

    Comfort:

    Durability:

As a dance teacher, I am very happy with this product. Discount Dance Supply provides us a great price. Every dancer in my dance group has the stretcher. We use it to work on shoulder flexibility, leg flexibility and back flexibility. We discovered so many ways to use the stretcher. Now it is requirement for students to have the stretcher for my dance class.

  • Love it!

    by: natashia - 09/21/2013

This is definitely useful and pretty simple to use without any help from others. Yes, I agree that the small instruction page is not sufficient, but there are tons of YouTube videos you can watch. You can even watch other people using it, not just from the official website. I try to stretch everyday, and sometimes i am not so motivated to do it alone, but I think this will definitely help since it makes it a lot easier to do so. It doesn't take up any space, you can carry it with you anywhere, and you don't have to mount or hook it anywhere. What's not to like? I highly recommend this product!

  • VERY Disappointed

    by: AllyB - 09/18/2013

    Comfort:

    Durability:

I really expected this product to be more than it was considering I paid $67 for it. This product is literally just a strap with an adjustable hoop on either end. There's a little instruction sheet that comes with the stretcher showing you different stretches you can perform with it. There are no instructions on how to adjust the straps properly for your stretch, you have to figure it out for yourself. The examples however are pointless because you can barely see how the girl in the photo is using the strap. She is wearing a BLACK leotard while using the BLACK strap! You can not see anything. I so far have tried the middle stretching example and right leg split. Both did absolutely nothing for me. For my right leg split, the instructions say to wrap both ends of the strap around your right leg, and hoop the end with the cushion around your left shoulder, obviously, it just slung right off my shoulder. HOW THE HECK IS THIS SUPPOSE TO HELP ME REACH MY SPLIT? There is one stretch they show in the examples where a girl is sitting cross legged and holding the stretch above her head pulling on opposite sides with either arm. I COULD LITERALLY DO THIS WITH A WORK OUT CORD! I am so angry with this product. I was really looking forward to something MUCH better. I am thinking about returning this product. I can get better results using a pillow.

  • Believe it or not... it's worth it!

    by: Catrock - 05/26/2013

    Comfort:

    Durability:

I hesitated to buy this thing for months for a couple of reasons: 1) I thought the price seemed a little high for what appeared to be a piece of rubber attached to a backpack strap, and 2) I already had a Theraband and wasn't sure the Flexistretcher would offer anything the Theraband couldn't already. I finally decided to give it a try because I began to consider the convenience of the whole package: the comfort strap, the adjustable length, the ability to feel the torso as a counterweight to the leg, and the opportunity to stretch the leg isometrically... I am SO glad I went for it. While it may be possible to get the same results with a (very long) Theraband, I know I'd be fiddling with one constantly - adjusting the length, keeping the band from digging in to my shoulder, etc. - to make it do what the Flexistretcher does with no setup required. Trust me - I am definitely someone who looks for a thrifty alternative and will almost always do a bit of manual labor on my own if it means saving some cash, but I think if I went "alternative" with this, I would find it tedious enough to use each time that I might neglect it completely. The Flexistretcher, while still a bit sketchy price-wise when it comes to materials, is so easy to work with that it's easy to use every day, and so effective (my arabesque has improved immensely) that its value matches the higher cost. I definitely recommend it!

  • Useful but can be done in another way

    by: clouddancer - 02/04/2013

I do not own this product, but I have a friend that does, and another friend that uses an old tire for a bike. Both have the same results, and it has incredibly helped both with their flexibility. However, a used (and clean) bike tire can be found for less than 5 dollars, so it's considerably cheaper. I will say that not all bike tires will work- I cannot use the bike tire of my friend's because it is too short for me, but it's perfect for her. I am pretty sure that I could go out and buy a bigger bike tire to fit to my legs. So useful, but can be done in other, creative ways for less.

  • This helped me so much!

    by: nycballerina - 12/26/2012

The Flexistretcher helped me so much. It helped my extensions become so much better. It also is a good way to easily stretch. It's not too big, so you can just put it in your dance bag and use during breaks at danced. I use constantly, and it doesn't hurt at all if you don't want it to. You can adjust it depending on your flexibility and height. This is a really good device to help you become more flexible, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants their extensions to become better.

  • Worth the money

    by: ashk - 10/24/2012

    Comfort:

    Durability:

After tearing my hamstring about six months ago, I'm hoping this will help me get some of my flexibility back. On my first use, I was impressed with how high I could get my arabesque! The only downfall is that the instructional booklet is confusing (especially for the arabesque stretch), so I looked on YouTube for how-to videos instead. It'd be nice if it came with a DVD, but it's definitely worth the money.

I LOVE my flexistretcher! It came yesterday, and I took it right out of the box and started using it. There is a small manual on how to get into some stretches with your flexistretcher which is helpful. There is no assembly, just two adjustable loops on both ends for your feet. It has already really helped me with extensions and things like that. THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU SHOULD ORDER ONE RIGHT NOW

  • WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!!!!!

    by: Tori - 08/05/2010

    Comfort:

    Durability:

Its too short. If you have long legs like me, then this wont even fit on your leg. It doesn't stretch like it says it does; even if you shorten it, it wont stretch. My legs are strong, and if i really pushed as hard as i could against this, I would either break my shoulder or snap this little rubber band toy.

It's really nice stretching equipment. I usually stretch every day, so I am very flexible. Flexistretcher put me on a new level of exercise. My hips got loose just after 2 uses! Been adult and doing russian style ballet 6 hours a week, I can absolutely appreciate the way flexistretcher work. I recommend it to anyone! Worth the cost!
