jetdancer 09/20/2013 Ca Age: 17 or under I wear Grishko 2007 in 5.5 4x and they've just been way too tapered for my foot (I have relatively square toes).
Is there a way you can tell me what size I'll be in this shoe?
Ps my street shoe size is 7-7.5
In style 2007 Suggested Fitting:
Women order 2-2? sizes smaller than street size
ELITE Suggested Fitting:
Women order 3 sizes smaller than street size

I believe that would translate into a 4 1/2 or a 5. Probably a 5. When in doubt I always order a 1/2 size bigger because bigger is better than smaller since you can always add more padding. - Vydia (09/26/2013)

golden 08/17/2013 Utah Age: 35 to 44 I recently went from a 5 xxx to a 5.5 xx in the Bloch European Balance, on a shoe fitter's advice (I was sinking in the wider 5). However, I have a textbook "Giselle" type foot (even length toes, wide metatarsal, high arch, narrow heel), with quite short toes, and I feel like the vamp on the Bloch is just a weensy bit too high in the 5.5. Someone recommended I try the Grishko Elite, and it sounds like a dream shoe for my foot, but none of the local stores carry it. Can you give me some sense of whether, based on the "three sizes down from street size" (I wear a 7.5 US ladies), I should order a 4.5 xx as the equivalent length/width to the Bloch I'm in now?
A medium "XX" in the Bloch Balance European is equivalent to the "XX" in the Grishko Elite. The 3 sizes down is the recommend fit for the Elite. However, we strongly discourage not being fit in person for a new pointe shoe. We do recommend that if you purchase this shoe without being sized that you make an appointment at a local store or with an instructor to ensure the right fit was purchased before wearing them. Even a slightly off size can risk permanent foot and ankle damage.- DDS Customer Service (08/19/2013)
I would recommend going with a 5. I am a size 7, but my feet are growing so I got a 4/12 with just a bit of growing room. A 4.5 may be fine, but I am one of those people who always would rather go bigger than smaller! - Vydia (09/26/2013)

Bunhead412 06/30/2013 United States Age: 17 or under I know these shoes are meant for short, square toes, but would they be okay for someone with tapered toes?
This shoe is meant for even-length toes and is complete with a short vamp.- DDS Customer Service (07/01/2013)
No. They would be terrible. They are designed for shorter toes all of the same length. The vamp is very low and the box is not at all tapered. - Tightsup (09/28/2013)
My daughter has tapered toes, but likes the thicker gel pads. She wears the XX width and they work beautifully for her. She switched from Bloch Sonata two years ago and much prefers the Grishko Elite. - Ddancemom (11/21/2013)

Chloe 03/31/2013 New York, Ny, Usa Age: 25 to 34 I have these shoes but I only prefer one maker that makes them. Could I buy this select shoe through discount dance if I specify the makers number, which is inside the shoe?
We do not accept maker request.- DDS Customer Service (04/01/2013)
I am pretty sure the answer is no. Unfortunately, I have never heard of DDS accepting maker requests; they don't with Freeds at least. - Vydia (09/27/2013)

Smile 03/29/2013 Hi i wear a 4 1/2 4x in Grishko Triumph would this pointe shoe have the same sizing?
The sizing would be the same. The only difference would be the width. The Elite runs more wide.- DDS Customer Service (04/01/2013)

Kittycat 02/04/2013 I have a #4 box in Gaynor Minden. but my width is medium. The length of my toe between my big toe and 2nd toe is about 4 to 4 and 1/2 cm in length. So I think I have a high vamp. I have greek type feet . Also my street shoe size is 8. Also I have a medium to high arch. Im wondering if this would be a good point shoe in my case? Or would you suggest something else? Would prefer to get Grishko.
I am in no way a fitting expert but from past experience, I would much more recommend trying the Grishko 2007s. These are more for square toes and low arches. The 2007s are a much more versatile shoe and I imagine they would be a much better choice. - Vydia (09/26/2013)
