Capezio's "Pro Impact Trainer" lightweight dansneaker has a low profile athletic pattern. This sneaker features a Nappa PU upper, patented flex notch and flat platform for toe stands, foam padded heel and lightly padded sock lining add additional comfort and shock absorption. The poly-mesh perforations allow for airflow throughout the upper keeping feet cool. This sneaker is half the weight of existing dansneakers and research indicates that you use less oxygen when you wear a lighter shoe.
I got these for my son who needed shoes for the theatre. He wears a size 10.5 men's street shoe and we bought 13 which fit him well (maybe they're 1/2 size too big, but he's still growing). He likes them.
I tried this shoe on and was in love with how light it is! It was comfortable, light, but still had a good, shock-absorbing sole. However, my experience was it was lightweight because it's mostly made of stretchy fabric. As I danced, my foot moved against the fabric and didn't feel secure at all. Suddenly, shoes that felt just right before seemed a size or more too big. I could have bought the same shoe in a smaller size and tried it again, but then I think my foot would be hanging over the edges of the sole as the pair I bought fit perfectly (while standing still). I gave them to a friend who seems to like them, but there were just uncomfortable to me.
