Capezio's "RockIt" Dansneaker is lightweight and the breathable SBR nylex mesh complements the combination nubuck and imitation suede upper. The PU soles feature vents for air circulation and the contoured EVA footbed provides shock-absorbing comfort. Other features include a perforated arch for ventilation and breathability and a padded Achilles notch for added comfort.
We bought these shoes for our daughter who takes Irish dance classes to use when she is practicing her hard shoe dances in the house. They run a full size small; she wears a 1.5 in street shoes and wears a 2.5 child's in these. She feels that they are comfortable and flexible--breathe well. Our one complaint is that, despite the claim of the non-marking sole, they leave numerous black marks on our hardwood floors that are very difficult to remove. These are not just smudges that you can rub off with your finger but ones that you need to scrub to clean and somehow seem to become imbedded in the wood grain. We have recently had our floors refinished, and my husband was very unhappy with the frequency and stubbornness of the marks these shoes left behind, so we purchased a different dance sneaker (Bloch Wave) for our daughter to use in the house. If you are not using these in a place where you care about the floor, then they are a good, solid dance sneaker.
This is my daughter's first pair of dance shoes so I read several reviews before ordering these. Even though most of the dance shoes on this site are suggested to run small these say to order "street size"... needless to say I ordered size 12.5 for my daughter since that is the size of her sneakers and they were WAY to small. I have re-ordered a size 2 and crossing my fingers that they fit. Since the shipping and exchange charges can add up, please take note that these shoes do in fact run small!!
