I bought a pair of these Rock It dance sneakers and only wore them a few times when the front sole came off of one shoes. I have been wearing a discontinued model of Capezio split sole sneakers for five years now without a problem. Planned obsolescence, I guess. Buy another brand. It will probably last longer.

Love these sneakers! They are great for rehearsals and teaching classes. They are very easy to work in, and they offer great support for the foot.

I love these shoes and many of my students wear them. Some of my students like the Bloch mesh shoe. They were too wide for me but I ordered a pair because I wanted pink. I bought my first pair of Rockit's in 2007 and buy a new pair every year. I have tried quite a few dance sneakers but always go back to the Capezio Rockits. My street size is 6 or 6.5 but I wear a size 7 Rockit.

I have ordered 5 pairs of Rock-its. The first pair I bought at a high priced shoe store to be sure of my size. I am 73 and teach at a Active Adult Community. The shoes definitely are 1/2 size bigger than street size and you should wear thin socks with them. If you buy one size bigger they will slide up and down on your heel. Once enough of my students had shoes than I would have them try on a shoe of a student who had the same street size. I have had many complaints about the long shoe laces but if you lace them up correctly across every loop they aren't too long. I had a very hard time lacing them up last time. The loops weren't big enough for the laces and they arrived only partially laced. My husband finally got them laced with a pair of tweezers. Another student who had ordered a pair got hers laced with a knitting needle. They were really hard to lace and if my husband hadn't finally gotten the loops opened and the shoes laced I would have sent them back as defective. I like this shoe much better than the Bloch mesh shoes. The Bloch shoes stick to the floor and I have trouble with twisting or scooting my foot to the back in a deep stretch.

ViolaDancer05/28/2015GREAT SHOE
I have loved dancing in these shoes. The only criique I have about size could have been solved by myself if I would have referred to the Euro size rather than the US size. Whenever I order Euro 41.5 I get the right fit - street shoe, dance sneaker, pointe shoe. I based my purchase on the US size and got it wrong, but when I compared to the Euro size I found that was the issue!

SJDance09/08/2014TOO SMALL
I spoke with a representative prior to purchasing this product due to concerns that arose by the number of people noting the sizing issues with this shoe. I was assured that the sizing issues were only males not reading the sizing instructions prior to purchasing. Well I am a female and ordered a size 6 which is my street shoe size. I only wear a 6 and I don't vary in size based on the type of shoe either. This shoe is definitely too SMALL. I should have ordered a 1/2 size up. Very aggravating.

Srqlive0803/16/2014SIZE INFORMATION AND SERVICE PROBLEMS
The size of the shoes is not explained properly and ordered size 8 thinking it was for a man and turned out I had to order larger size. Return item service is from the dark ages. Check zappos for how it should be done. WIll never use this company again.

knittingdancer01/23/2014GREAT TEACHING SHOES!
Amazing. I'm so happy with these shoes. I bought them in the same size as my street shoe and they fit perfectly. Like a hug for your feet-- SO comfortable!
I use them for teaching to lessen the wear and tear on my feet and ankles, especially when teaching on unyielding surfaces. They have the support and cushion of a sneaker but with the ability to point your feet! They don't look bad, either... I was hesitant to buy a sneaker when I generally teach in ballet flats. The heel is a tad bulky but nothing you can't get used to. Can't speak much on the durability yet, other than to say that they seem sturdy and well-made.
These are my new go-to shoes for teaching! Worth the price!

Returning dancer04/05/2008 Ohio,CRAZY SIZING, POOR SUPPORT
Well, I bought 1/2 size larger based on the reviews, but they wound up being 1/2 size too big. Guess there is no standard to their sizing standards on this model. I also found them to have poor arch support compared to other Capezio models or Blochs. The toe box does seem like it would hold up well to toe stands and it has a nice flat platform, but I'll still be returning this pair and going back to Bloch.

Balletboy 01/13/2016 Ohio, Usa Age: 45 to 54 What size should a man who wears an 11 order? What about in the Bloch?
I have had both pairs before and swear they were men's sizes. I ordered a new pair and they are not even close to fitting.
Men are suggested to order two sizes larger than their street shoe size for this specific shoe. If you have any additional questions regarding sizing, please refer to the sizing guide on the product page under the sizing tab. - DDS Customer Service (01/28/2016)
Hermia 01/25/2014 Chicagoland Age: 25 to 34 How comfortable do these fit on wide feet?
I wear a EE width shoe normally. My current Capezio dance sneakers are really rubbing uncomfortably against my pinky toes to the point of creating an inch-long blister against the sides of my toes. I do a lot of Zumba & fusion cardio dancing, and I need something with greater shock absorption for the jumping. I would really like to find something that also is comfortable in the width.
Thank you.
This particular shoe is not available in a wide width. Capezio tends to run a bit narrow. I would recommend Bloch style S0528L which is the Boost dance sneaker. This sneaker is highly recommended for Zumba and tends to run a bit wider than Capezio. - DDS Customer Service (01/27/2014)
My students who have wider feet or bunions prefer the Bloch mesh shoe. It doesn't work for my foot but different feet need different shoes. The Bloch mesh shoe also has a thicker rubber sole. - Tandylea (02/16/2016)
