    NOT STREET SHOE SIZE

These shoes look like great quality but I’m very disappointed how small they are. I ordered my 3 year old sons street shoe size (8M). The shoes are tiny. At least 2 sizes too small. I just ordered a larger pair. Hoping I ordered the right size this time.

    NT TRUE TO SIZE

My son just came into a size 2 in regular shoes. This website says to order street size and so we ordered a size 2. We could not even get his foot in this shoe!

    INEXPENSIVE YET PRACTICAL SHOE

I bought them for my 6 year old twin boys who just started tap class. They fit well and seem sturdy. We went up 1/2 size from their street shoe size so that they would be able to wear them for longer. My boys have narrow feet, so if your kids have wide feet you may need to try these on before you buy. That is my suggestion, that you go to a local dance store to try these on, then buy from discount dance!

PERFECT FOR MY 3 YEAR OLD

The shoe came in perfect condition and was just what I ordered. I purchased them a 1/2 size larger than my child gym shoes and still had to wear thin socks/dress socks with them. It may be just my child because he has one foot a 1/2 size bigger than the other. We had one gym sock on and one dress sock. That's why I put it in the middle of run small and true to size for my review of the size. Can't tell you if it's comfortable because I didn't wear them. I can say he hasn't made any complaints himself. He's only worn them once thus far but I'll check back in to update the durability section.

I have to say this shoe was perfect for my 4 yr old dancer in her combo classes. They are more durable and held up better than the patent leather ones she started with. The shoe is more supportive for the foot and gives the young dancer better control when learning tap combinations. Now that she is joining to the competition team, they require a tap shoe with the taps screwed into the shoe as opposed to riveted onto the shoe like this shoe. Now that we have to say good bye to this shoe and hello to a more expensive one, I would recommend this shoe for beginners of all ages.

The reason I'm giving these tap shoes only 3 stars is because they tend to slip off your feet. I thought it was just me experiencing that but my daughter has the same problem even though I bought her a 1/2 size smaller. The only great thing about this tap shoe is that it is really comfortable.

I am 10 and I would NEVER EVER use another type of tap shoe! They are comfortable, I only wear them once a week. But I must warn you, that after dancing in them for a few weeks, they get a bit worn out!

Perfect!!! My daughter is happy as can be, because the shoes fit her great and are so comfortable, that ". . . dancing is awesome in them . . ." she said. We couldn't be happier with them, so we give 5 stars!!! Agi & Reka

Sizing suggests to purchase street size. My daughter wears a size 4 which I do not see offtered. Doe

If your daughter is a size 4.0 in girls, you would need to convert her to the adult shoe. To do this, you go up two sizes. You would need to order her this shoe (DN3710L) in a women's size 6.0
    - DDS Customer Service (01/15/2014)

Hi Dancemomof2, I purchased this a few weeks ago and purchased a half size bigger than my son's street size. He wears a toddler 10 in street size but when I ordered through them I ordered a child 10 1/2. In my review I explain that he has one foot a 1/2 size bigger but apparently they run a 1/2 size smaller than the size displayed because when he wore them they fit one foot perfect (with a thin dress sock on) and the other foot perfect (with a thick gym sock on). To make sure I ordered the proper size for him I searched on google for children shoe size charts. There it showed what sizes can transition from Infant to toddler to children to adult. Hope this helps. - Mommys (02/28/2014)
