These dance sneakers are very comfortable. I went up a size only because I have a wide foot and they only came in M width. I purchased for 2 other people, as well, and they were equally pleased. (they ordered their street size.) Our show director thought they would be too flashy, but in the black they provide that "little extra sparkle" without being distracting!! We really like them a lot! BTW...we cover ages from 17 to 65.
I can't comment on durability, as we just received them this week!! But so far, so good!
I loved the packaging. My girls are excited about the sequins on the shoe and the style of it.
They perform in them today & I will update my review based on the comfort and the durability of the sequins!
Ordered these for my daughter. We are both very pleased with the purchase. She loves the shoes. The price was comparable to other sites visited. The delivery was prompt. Would definitely recommend the shoes and purchasing from Discount Dance Supply.
I bought these shoes for my daughter who is a 6.5 woman's and read the reviews before purchasing them. The reviews said to order a size or half size down. I did do that. When we got them and she tried them on, they were too small. I now have to re-order them in at least her size or a half size up.
How easy is it to dance/pointe your toes while performing in these shoes?

This shoe is similar to a Converse Brand Tennis shoe, full sole and is not as flexible as a split sole dance sneaker, however most of the customer reviews state that they are a comfortable shoe. - DDS Customer Service (11/05/2012)
Easy to dance in...not too many pointed toes in our routines. With a sneaker, I'm not sure you could tell, from a technical standpoint, if your toes are pointed. They tend to be a little stiff at first, but after one evening of rehearsals, they were fine. - Justme502 (06/07/2014)
