    VERY NICE

I got these shoes about a year ago and they have held up pretty well. I'm an advance tapper so I'm very picky about shoes. Tapping 2-3 times a week and after three different dance shows the shoes have begun to break in really nicely. The toe box has begun to separate from the shank of the shoe which makes toe stands easier because the shoes have an actual flexibility to them with out having a split sole. They took about 8 months to break in but I just took it as a sign of their durability. These shoes look great on stage - would recommend them to anyone who will be tapping a lot.

THIS SHOE HAS A PLASTIC SOLE.

We did not realize that this shoe has a plastic sole when we bought it, because it is painted to fake leather. But it is plastic! My daughter's broke (the sole cracked) after a couple of months and that's when we realized that this is a plastic shoe!

    LOVE MINE!

I am a dance instructor in a busy studio with many tap classes. I have had the same pair for 5 years and maybe mine are a fluke but I have NEVER lost a screw, they are wicked comfy, and the sound is fantastic!!!

    GREAT

I don't know why people hate these shoes. They are durable, and have lasted pretty long. They can be hard to break into, but overall they are good. But I don't know. They are great for my recitals and competitions, but they may be bad for pros. I really don't know.

Women, definitely NOT order your regular street shoe size. These are running at least 1 size smaller.

    SAD

I just got a pair of these like one month ago and I'm already having to replace them. The only good thing about these shoes is that they are comfortable. I hate the 3 screws in the front tap--they do not stay in! I want my CGO9's back!

    SOUNDS GOOD - SHODDY

Like just about everyone else, my daughter had to purchase these shoes when the CG09s were discontinued. We've been very disappointed. She's a very good tapper and we've had to scrounge screws to replace those that have been lost. And, we didn't even adjust the sound on the taps. I have to say the sound is good, probably even better than the CG09s but... doesn't make up for the lack of dependability. Nothing like being at competition and trying to take screws out of old shoes to replace lost ones. Go for the CG100s, they seem better.

Everyone I know who has purchased these shoes has had difficulty with them. Within two weeks of buying these, I had sheared off the front taps on both shoes, completely. They make a terrible "pingy" sound, and are overpriced. The only thing I can say for them is that they have a strong toe box, but besides that, toss them in the trash.

    SO-SO

These taps were okay, but the rubber on the bottom of mine has torn off in a few layers ... one of the screws fell out, too.

    BAD

These are horrible. Try the "Hoff Master"s, they are an improvement of these shoes. These shoes sound bad, and taps fly off everywhere.

    NOT FOR BIG FEET!

I needed these for my recital. I wear a size 10 so I ordered a size 10 but after 2 classes, the leather stretched out to the point that my heel slipped out (and I don't even have a narrow heel). Toe stands turned impossible and I had blisters covering my heels. Finally, I went to a consignment shop and found a slightly used pair of Capezio CG09 which now work MUCH better!!!

Don't buy these unless you are a beginner or a child!!!! These are meant for advanced dancers but don't work well at all!!!!! They replaced the CG09 Capezio Premieres but are not up to standards. Bring back Premieres!!!!

If my child wears a 3.5 in shoes and 3.0 in sneakers what size should I order?

The sizing for this shoe is based on street shoe size. If your child is a size 3.5, you would need to convert them first to the adult size, which would be a size 5.5. According to Capezio, this shoe runs true to size, so I would recommend ordering a size 5.5.
