The weight of this skirt is perfect. The two layers gives it a nice swing and flow as it moves with you.
The waist band does not curl in, but lays flat against your waistline.
Would purchase again.

justbellydancer09/04/2015GREAT SKIRT
I have used this skirt several times for bellydance and I love it. The S/M fits up to a size 6 and the L/XL is good for up to a 10 or 12. This skirt also comes in plus size so I was able to fit several different body types. There is a child size version too so I bought one for my 4 year old daughter! My only complaint is that I wish it was available in more colors!

BallerinaCowgirl09/29/2014SO PRETTY!
This skirt is so lovely and I got a bunch of compliments on it. It's flattering and comfortable and really fun to dance in (especially turns! Adult ballerina fantasies coming true!). There are only a few drawbacks, but not enough to lower my rating: it's quite long, even on my 5'8" frame, which makes it difficult to check in on hip alignment; it's quite full, which makes it harder to check in on my feet and ankles; and it's surprisingly warm. That said, I'm still going to put it into rotation. I'll probably wear my more traditional ballet skirts more, though.

tess8306/09/2014BAD QUALITY
this skirt is made very cheaply. there is no elastic at the top only fabric at the waist line which stretches when you wear it. so if your getting it buy the smallest size - it will strech
very see through
not worth the price

Stevie08/15/2009CHEAP LOOKING FABRIC
After reading all of the reviews I had high hopes for this skirt. The fabric is very cheap and snags easily, it's like cheap halloween costume material, a little stiff and slow-moving. The only thing I wouldn't change is the elastic band which I kept and sewed my own fabric on to.

My dance teacher has some of these skirts, and we used them in a performance. They were great for turns and looked really pretty. But they didn't work well with floor stuff. But over all they're good :)

HSCS Dancer12/16/2008 Salem, Or,
My friend composed a dance and all of the girls in it wore these in the gold shade. Now we are doing a dance and our teacher wants to keep the costumes cheap, so we are using these skirts because we already have a few. I just bought my own and they are great. Some people are complaining that they are see-through, but it's a chiffon skirt people. I love them, and am going to buy more in different shades.

Jessie02/08/2007 Arizona,
This skirt is gorgeous. When doing spins and things like that, it twirls out beautifully! However, if you're not wearing anything underneath, then this isn't a good skirt. It's entirely see-through, especially in white. But with something underneath, it's wonderful! I love it!

Rose09/03/2006 California,
I bought this skirt for a Spanish style performance, and I loved it. It was so pretty, it was the perfect length, and it was light, so it moved very delicately with me. The elastic was just tight enough, but not so tight that it made a bulge. The only downside was that the material it's made of caused it to get very hot inside of the skirt.

Irish Girl07/05/2006
I do Irish Step Dancing and I needed a mesh skirt so my teacher could see everyone's body position. This skirt always seemed to be in the way, even though it's very cute. I kept ripping it when I did a jump or large movment. I ended up cutting it so it was shorter.

The Banshee 09/10/2013 Philadelphia, Pa, Usa Age: 25 to 34 Has anyone tried dyeing the white skirt? I'm looking for something along these lines in green, to la
I believe you would be able to dye this item. you may want to do research on how this can be done with chiffon. - DDS Customer Service (09/10/2013)
what is the length of the skirt from the waistband down?
Also, what's the width of the waistband?
Thank you!!
shortest point is approx. 16", longest point approx. 25" , 2" waistband. SM waist measures 30" stretched and L/XL measures 33" stretched - DDS Customer Service (11/05/2012)
I don't have it in front of me right now, I would say the waist band is approx 2 inches and the length is approx 23 inches - Elphil61 (05/19/2013)
The waistband is 2". The length of the L/XL varies from 20-30". On me (I'm 5'8"), it comes to just above the knee. Definitely the longest skirt in my class. - Ballerinacowgirl (09/30/2014)
