I bought these about 4 years ago for tap class because they are cheap and they came in men's sizes. The sizing info said to order same as street size, which I did and they are HUGE. If I'm in releve on them my heels will come out of the shoe. Also the front tap is riveted into the shoe so you can't adjust the sound, which I didn't mind, but one of the rivets actually popped out of the shoe while I was trying the other. And because they aren't screws that can be replaced I was left with a big rivet hanging out of my shoe that I had to cut out. The shoelace also broke while trying the shoes and I had to replace that. The back tap... well isn't really a tap. It's unmarked which makes me think that they just screwed a THIN piece of metal to the heel. Needless to say the taps are also very quiet because of how cheap they and the shoe were made. I'd recommend them for someone who needs tap shoes for recreational use but if you plan on using them a lot I'd stay farrr away from these shoes.

    NOT SATISFYING

O.k. for first pair of tap shoes. I started tapping in Sept. last year and am ready for a new pair of shoes already. I have not been happy with the sound and was very disappointed when I discovered the taps are riveted! There has been no problem with the taps coming off however.

    HORRIBLE

These were horrible. My brother got them for his first tap class, and they were far too big, and the taps came off within a month.

    MALE SIZING INCORRECT

I bought these in a 10.5 wide for my male friend, who wear street shoe sizes between 10 and 11. These were at least an inch too long and far too wide. The width may have been a mistake on my part, but the shoe size fitting was definitely incorrectly given on this website. Order at least 1 size DOWN for men.

    AWFUL!!!

As a costumer, I ordered 26 pairs for a production of Anything Goes. The taps started to fall off immediately. I took them to a shoe maker (yes, we have them in SD) and he said the holes are too large for the rivets. If you want to tap, buy a different shoe!!!

I bought these shoes when I was in the production of 42nd Street in my community. These shoes do not come with nail holes, but are actually hammered in with one-time use stubs. If the stubs come off, then you are stuck. The taps are very thin. This shoe isn't my favorite, and I wouldn't easily recommend them to someone else.

    Sizing

My son wears a 6.5 boys/men in saucony sneakers. What size is this in this pair of tap shoes?

If he wears a size 6.5 in Men's sneakers, he would order this shoe in a size 6.5. This shoe runs true to size for men.
