balletlover12345678901/14/2015RUNS SMALL, BUT GOOD ENOUGH FOR PRICE
Let me first say, that I am by no means a pointe shoe expert or a professional dancer. I needed a pair of pointe shoes for a college company show and wanted a pair of shoes that I could easily break in, take a few classes in, and perform three shows in. Because I am a broke college student, I wanted a pair of cheaper pointe shoes that would fulfill the above mentioned requirements. The Lyrica shoe is an interesting one. I wear a size ten in street shoes and have slightly tapered toes and medium to high arches. I do not have wide feet, but they are not narrow. I read that these shoes run a little small but also saw that many customers ordered their original size and were fine. I ordered a 12 M and my foot is awkwardly crammed into the box. The shank is very hard and taking some time to break in, which I am surprisingly happy about. The bottom of the shoe is flat and easy to balance on. The drawstrings are also a plus, and the shoe looks very nice on the foot.
I normally would wear Russian Pointe Almaz with a medium shank, or Bloch Serenade with a regular shank. The Sansha Lyrica's are good for the price but need to be more accurately sized. These shoes need some time to break in and I would recommend taking fifteen minutes everyday, along with classes, to achieve a shank flexibility that you are comfortable with. Do this especially, if like me, you are on a show deadline.

PickyAboutDancewear08/20/2014GREAT SHOE FOR THE PRICE
I didn't find the description or many of the reviews on this shoe helpful, so I researched it extensively online before deciding to order. I was looking for an inexpensive shoe to wear for company class, as I go through a pair of shoes every two weeks or so if I glue them a couple times, and it gets quite expensive. I have recently been wearing Grishko 2007 size 7.5 xxx medium or hard shank. I am a US ladies street shoe size 10, long toes, compressible foot, high arch, strong foot. A lot of reviews said the sizing was off on these, but I ordered the recommended size 12m and also a 13n because my feet are a bit narrow. Both pairs are workable, but the 12m is the best fit, so perhaps this shoe runs just a little narrow. The shank is VERY hard and takes a bit of work to break in. I work it with my hands and then spray the spots that I want to soften with rubbing alcohol every time I wear them until they are flexing the way I like. The light weight is nice especially for quick footwork or long days. The whisper toe is quiet, but too soft. I just jet glue the box before I wear the shoes and it's fine. The platform is a bit larger than the 2007s and it is very flat so it is great for balancing. This shoe has a deep vamp and tapered box. I would only recommend this shoe to dancers with long toes, or else it will likely be difficult to roll thorough demi-pointe. This shoe looks nice on the foot. It is very streamlined and not bulky. The elastic drawstring is easy to tighten. The sole is nice and flat, so it's easy to balance on flat, as well. I've seen many complaints about the attached elastic, but it's just like any other mesh or invisible elastic.
Overall, this is a great shoe for long, tapered feet with strong arches. It requires a little extra work to make it suitable to dance in (working the shank and gluing the box), but for the price, I have no complaints.

anotherdancersmom06/24/2014GOOD BEGINNERS POINTE SHOES FOR TAPERED
I'm writing this review on behalf of my daughter (age 12). She has been exclusively wearing Sansha Lyrica for a while. Her feet are tapered (long big toe and shorter towards the little toe) and are still growing, plus the number of hours for pointe study is increasing too. We were looking for a model that fits the shape of her feet and cost efficient, until her feet size settles and it's time for her to find a real-deal good model. On average, one pair of this model would last about 6 hrs of pointe work classes, which I think is pretty reasonable for a $40+ pair. I'm glad the DDS started carrying this model because I don't know many stores who carry it. Sometimes it's available on eBay also, but size 12 doesn't come around so easily.

Great shoe for dancer with longer toes. Can't tell you how many compliments I receive on how it makes my foot look great. Have tried many other shoes, but this seemed to be the "right fit".

These shoes were ok... The box broke down much too quickly and the bend in the shank was too high for my foot. But they were extremely flattering and I danced in them till they were COMPLETELY dead.

Jessica06/05/2006 Palos Verdes,
I had these for a while and feel like going back to them. They last long but I don't like the invisible elastic. I had trouble getting over my feet and breaking the shank in a nice area. You need to have a specific arch to wear these shoes because they seem to break in towards the heel.
I felt that these shoes were flattering. I liked the V throat the color satin & the fit for my narrow and tapered feet. I wasn't crazy about the sole & the "invisible" elastics wore out fast. Excellent price & strong shoe.
