RIch04/16/2021 Berkeley,CARUNS LARGE AND UNCOMFORTABLE
I'm a street size 5.5. Per recommended sizing, I purchased size 7M. Way too big in the front even though I have wide square front. When I tighten the strings, it pinches my heals and causes scrunching in the leather and looks unflattering. My feet look like they are swimming in the shoe.
I will look into returning these but not sure how much returning these shoes will cost me.

Abby04/15/2021FAVORITE SHOE I KEEP RETURNING TO
Love these ballet shoes. I am purchasing my third pair and they have always lasted 2 years plus at a time. Former student, current teacher. Medium to heavy use. I love how these accentuate my arch and fit around my foot. They do run small- I order a size 10 in these shoes and I am typically a 8.5 in street shoe.

KanOhio06/06/2014SHOES RAN TOO SMALL
I ordered these for my 7 year old daughter in black. She wears a 3 in street shoes and sizing chart recommends going up 2 sizes. The shoes were really narrow and tight across the top of her foot. Really disappointed as now I have to pay to ship them back.

AnnieBananie09/19/2013LOVE THEM SO FAR!
I'm not 100% sure on the durability - I'm getting over an injury and my physical therapist doesn't want me back in ballet yet, so I haven't really gotten to dance in these. However, going by the good quality material and the durability of sanshas that I've worn in the past, they seem like good durable shoes. They look lovely on my [very large/wide] feet! I just switched over from canvas #1 Pros, and I'm not sure if it's the particular shoe model or the material, but these are more snug- fitting. I'm usually a 10, but I ordered an 11M. The #1 Pros were a little bit big in that size, but these are just about perfect, so I'd say get one size larger than your street size. All in all I'm very glad I bought them and can't wait to get some real use out of them!

thekitten09/06/2013VERY COMFY AND CUTE!
Shipping was really fast! That's something I will not complain about. This product is so comfy and cute! I cannot wait to use them on my ballet class! Despite they look really fragile, they look like they might last quite some time.

Janet10/29/2009 East Bethel, Mn,TOO SMALL! DISAPPOINTING!
I ordered two different pairs of these (one at a time) for my daughter, who is a street size 8. Their sizes 9 and 10 could not even go on her feet! Plus, the difference between those two sizes was only about 1/4". This was extremely frustrating, considering they only go to a size 11 and offer no half sizes. So I actually have no experience with how the shoe wears, because it seems impossible to get the right size for what I consider a medium/average-size foot.

They are very flexible and long lasting but the sizing is tricky. I would definitely get one size bigger than normal shoes.

This was my first pair of leather slippers, and I am very pleased. They are tight, but I'm sure they will stretch and fit perfectly. I wear a solid size 8 in street shoes, with a medium width, and I ordered a 9 Narrow.
The low vamp and heel make it look very pretty on my foot. As the picture shows, the toe is a little more tapered than other slippers, so it might look a little strange on square-shaped toes. There is a very nice suede insert that feels marvelous inside! The only uncomfortable thing is the slightly bulky back seam. It might rub a blister.
Yes, the color is a little more fleshy than pink, but all leather slippers are.
I was also very impressed with the customer service. This site has the cheapest shipping rates I found, by charging about half what other sites would have charged. They shipped my order in less than 12 hours after I placed it, and it arrived three days later! Now I call that prompt! They just won a permanent customer!

Anonymous04/24/2008NOT WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE
These shoes are OK. The color on the website is light pink but I got mine and they are almost orangeish/tan. They look very bad with pink Capezio #9 tights(what I use) and also, they are hard to turn in. They stick to the floor, and rosin doesn't work. They are very nice quality though, and have lasted very long.

Emily11/17/2007 Summerville, Sc,GET DIRTY EASILY
These shoes are very pretty when you first get them, but they become dirty very quickly. Also, they are very wide. The worst part is that the leather is very stiff, and I could barely move my foot around in them. But my friend also has the same pair, and she loves them.

Amanda Jane11/13/2007 New York City,TOO SQUARE!
These shoes work great for certain foot shapes. If you have tapered, narrow feet like I do, forget these. They are as boxy as soft shoes get, but look lovely on feet that are square.

My friend has these. I do not personally own them but my friends says they are very comfy and she loves them! The only thing is that if you get water on them, they discolor slightly and the pink color, is really closer to a skin tone than pink!

Pamela08/21/2007 Troy, Al,GREAT SHOE, GREAT DEAL!
We have bought this ballet slipper the last two times we've needed new ballet slippers. The fit is wonderful! My daughter has a very narrow foot and a short achilles tendon and they support her arch well without her feet cramping.

The M width is sold out for the size I need to order for my daughter. Does anyone have experience or
These shoes do tend to run true to width. If your foot is a true medium, the narrow is likely to be too tight. - DDS Customer Service (01/05/2015)
