I use this shoe to teach Argentine Tango. I have ordered it for many years and the shoe was always true to size.. This new batch is way off in sizing. Order up a full size. It took me ordering three pairs to get it right. I hate to pay double shipping to return something, so two of my students with smaller feet were kind enough to purchase the "mistakes".

PrincessZhenE01/09/2015TOO NARROW
I wear a street shoe size 7.5 to 8 W and ordered the size 7 as indicated. The length of the shoe was fine... it just cuts off my little toe because it is definitely not for a wide foot.

Suzie02/16/2014UNCOMFORTABLE!!
I found the fit of this shoe VERY uncomfortable. Since I felt that I would be unable to dance in them, I have returned them.

Love these teaching sandals. Have them in caramel. I am a belly dance performer and many of my shows are in restaurants. These are attractive un-obtrusive and protect my feet. So happy to have them as part of my costuming! Have let my students know of this sale.

I bought these for teaching and loved them at first (very comfortable and supportive). After 3 months or so, the heel would slip off due to stretching (TERRIBLY scary for my ankles!) and the bottom was peeling off the toes :( I am trying the Bloch pair this time and suspect they will be better, as I have had this kind of experience with Capezio many times before. I guess you get what you pay for :)

This is a comfortable dance shoe. I ordered the suggested fitting size (half size smaller than street shoe size) and it was perfect.

These shoes are great for jazz and lyrical. I used them for my solo and for competitions. I love them and I recommend them for all dancers. They worked better for me than regular jazz shoes.

KMA02/04/2008 Georgia,AWKWARD AND NOT FOR WIDE FEET
I recently purchased these shoes for a lyrical dance. The sole material is awkward feeling under my toes and makes pointing my feet uncomfortable (it extends much more closely to tip of shoe than jazz shoes). It feels like you're trying to crush the cardboard with your toes to get your foot properly pointed. On the up side, they're absolutely gorgeous on. I wear an 8.5 in jazz shoes and got a 7 in these. My feet are wide (I still normally wear a med. width) and the sides of my foot hang out of the shoe and it is very uncomfortable. These were a complete waste of my money. I did the dance barefooted out of painful frustration! (It was much better w/o these shoes).

Katherine11/23/2007 New Jersey,AN OKAY SHOE, BUT THERE ARE BETTER BUYS
I got a pair of these for my lyrical class last year. I still have that pair with no holes, so these shoes definitely last a long time. The only problem with them is the elastic on the foot. When you first get them, it fits fine, but now that I've had mine for a while, they've stretched out a lot. When I'm going down into a split, or even turning, the heel will stretch backwards until it's completely behind my foot. The shoes are too big for me now, despite their age, so next time I'll try a different brand.

Keia Maria08/09/2006GREAT! BUT MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE SIZE
I really like how they mold to your foot and are easy to put on. But be careful with the size you get. Sometimes mine slip off my heels while I'm dancing. You should really try them on before you order them. They should be a little tighter in the beginning.

What is the difference between the caramel and the tan?
The Caramel is more of a true "tan" shade, while the Tan has a taupe undertone to it. - DDS Customer Service (01/21/2014)
CapeMaui 09/25/2012 Fairfield, Ct, Usa Age: 35 to 44 what size do I get if I'm between sizes?
I'm between a 6.5 to 7 in street size, do I get the 6.5 or the 6? How long will it take for the shoes to stretch out? I have very skinny feet if that helps.
thanks!
The suggested fitting for this shoe is a 1/2 size down from the street shoe. There is 1/4" difference between half sizes. Since you are between sizes I would start with the size that you choose most often when purchasing your shoes. The shoe is leather and will stretch and conform to the foot with each wearing, however we can not pin point how long it will take, it all depends how often and how long the shoe is worn at each wearing. If your foot tends to run on the narrow side, you may want to consider starting with the 6.0 as a suggestion, no sizing is guarenteed and we do have a 30 day return policy, as long as the shoe is in resalable condition. - DDS Customer Service (09/26/2012)
