These were terrible for my feet. I have a wider foot with tapered toes and a decent arch. When I first tried them on they were great, but my foot never adjusted to them well. Only a couple weeks of classes and they broke down, and my toes are in horrible pain every time I wear them STILL! Maybe they are good for someone else, but I would not recommend!

dewdrop01/08/2014NICE SHORT VAMP
These were my first style of pointe shoes. They are perfect for feet like mine( wide, square, even-length toes, and low arches). The vamp is low(even though it says medium length in the description) which is great for shorter toes and/or low arches. The shank is very supple, which helps the beginner or dancers with tight ankles/flatter arches reach full pointe. The only problems I found with these shoes is that they aren't wide enough(probably because I wear thick gel pads), and that they break down faster than my Mirella's or Russian pointes do. Overall, though, they are a nice, comfortable shoe for dancers with my kind of feet!

these were my first pair of pointe shoes. they did the job but now that i look back i realized that they weren't for me. for example, only after a month or so the shank and the box were dead. since it was my first pair i didn't know they were dead so i kept dancing on them, which causes a lot of pain. the shank and the box are pretty weak because i was only dancing for an hour a week for my first year on pointe.

I just got these yesterday and they are surprisingly flattering. They are also really light weight. We'll see how they work out since I haven't worn them to class yet.

These shoes break in very quickly, which I loved. They conform to my arch very well. One thing I didn't like was that they break down pretty fast. I would have liked them to last a little bit longer. I have ended up breaking the shank of the last 3 or 4 pairs. Also, the back of the shoe slips off my heel a good bit, so I had to start using elastic on them to thread the ribbons through. Besides that, it's a good shoe. I have a wide foot with short toes and it's comfortable for me.

These shoes are mediocre for me. I have ankle problems, and while the shanks are perfect, the box/vamp area is hard to break in enough to have a decent demi-pointe. I don't know if that is my foot or the shoes, but that is the issue I am having with them.

Tendu II and Bloch balance European, which one gets on pointe easier and support better?
I have tried both of these shoes, and I found that the Balance Europeans were easier to get on top of the box. I think it is because they are pre-arched. The box and shank is also somewhat harder than the box of the Tendu II's which will give you more support. The only problem with the Bloch's is that the vamp is a little longer than I'd like it to be...not much but still enough to hold you back a bit from reaching full pointe if you have shorter toes or a lower arch. - Dewdrop (01/09/2014)
