New and improved!

A flattened crown compliments the natural shape of the foot while the satin binding creates a seamless transition from shoe to tight that enhances the leg line and the shorter sole is less visible en pointe. New pleating has "quiet toe" construction and the feathered toe box allows the dancer to releve with ease. A graduated shank and sole, soft cotton lining and a pre-molded shank offer greater comfort. Other features include a broad toe box, medium vamp, U-shaped throat, wide platform, three-quarter box, elastic drawstring and a skived #2 leather board shank. For ribbons we suggest Capezio 7/8" wide ribbon.

Ribbons not included.

Tendu II and Bloch balance European, which one gets on pointe easier and support better?

I have tried both of these shoes, and I found that the Balance Europeans were easier to get on top of the box. I think it is because they are pre-arched. The box and shank is also somewhat harder than the box of the Tendu II's which will give you more support. The only problem with the Bloch's is that the vamp is a little longer than I'd like it to be...not much but still enough to hold you back a bit from reaching full pointe if you have shorter toes or a lower arch. - Dewdrop (01/09/2014)
