    Bought for Aerial Silks Performance

    by: AerialBecky - 04/28/2015

    Comfort: 4 star rating

    Durability: 4 star rating

I bought this for my first aerial silks dance performance to wear under my leotard. I had never bought one before, so I wasn't sure what to get, but this worked great. I was nervous that it would be similar to putting on pantyhose which snag easily, and sometimes are hard to get all the way up to where they're supposed to be when you're putting them on. But this worked fine, and it fits well. It doesn't feel like it's pulling on my shoulders. I'm 5'3, 120 lb, and I bought the small.

VERY SHEER - NOT OPAQUE AT ALL!

    by: Costumedesigner - 09/18/2014

    Comfort: 4 star rating

    Durability: 2 star rating

We bought these body tights by Capezio for our actresses to wear while changing backstage at children's shows for modesty. They are EXTREMELY sheer ! There is no modesty when wearing these. They are very thin, which is nice under costumes, but I worry about their durability. I'll probably have to order something with more density. Disappointed.

    this is perfect

    by: tangolola - 08/19/2014

I bought this body tight to wear under a skin tight tango dress that showed every lines and crease my other under garments seem to show. And its just the right piece to solve the problem. Its comfortable. I only wish there are built in bra pads for I'd like some more shape up there :)

    Very Durable, Good Colors

    by: SarahSophia - 06/20/2014

    Comfort: 5 star rating

    Durability: 5 star rating

Disregarding the fact that I'm not partial to body tights, these are exceedingly comfortable compared to others...very stretchy and durable, slightly on the thinner side, but that's a good thing in my book. Body tights tend to feel constricting, but these are the least so. The straps are also more comfortable than clear elastic, which I can't stand the shiny look or feel of. Overall the better choice for me...and with a great array of colors.

sort of worked for my 10 year old

    by: raisingsomedancers - 03/14/2014

    Comfort: 4 star rating

I could not find a classic pink body tight for my daughter in the child's size so I ordered a small in this. I cut off the pink straps and sewed them into a small loop so she could wear clear straps. It was more work than I wanted with a brand new pair of tights but my daughter is great full so it was worth it.

    Nice Body Tight

    by: Ballet101 - 06/09/2013

    Comfort: 5 star rating

I love everything about these tights. Great coverage, very slimming, and nice and thick. Their sizing is the thing I don't like. For tights my size is a M but sometimes I'll get a L just for a little more comfort. These only offer S/M or L/XL. I ordered the S/M and they feel a little small. They work as long as I don't have them over my feet. I really wish they would offer a M/L but alas they do not. Maybe next time I won't be so leery on the XL part of that. Great tight other wise.

    Comfortable, good coverage

    by: molsmama - 06/03/2013

    Comfort: 5 star rating

    Durability: 4 star rating

I have used these tights as my day-to-day basic tights for class. It provides good coverage, warmth, and sleek look. There is a nice option for full body coverage or roll down for extra warmth and coverage for hips. Highly recommend these reliable body tights!

These are wonderful. Just keep in mind these may show if your leotard has any type of decorative straps in the back or any kind of a lower back.

    Great tights!

    by: Dancagirl - 10/27/2008

For one of my recital pieces we had to wear these in white so our stomachs wouldn't show when we did cartwheels and such. They are just as soft as Capezio's Ultra-soft tights but they are full-body tights! I just wish they had adjustable straps, because the front kept falling down under the shirt. The seam down the front didn't bother me, it was pretty much invisible from the audience. I wear them for class sometimes when my other tights are in the wash. Thanks, Capezio!

    Itilitarian and attractive

    by: Heatherlysue - 10/16/2007

I think this a vital article for any dancer's wardrobe. I have it in black, convertible foot and in pink (clear, detachable strapped), convertible foot. Wonderful backstage, dressing room attire. Makes for quick costume changes. It is great for class, too. Sometimes I even pull it over my leotard if I switch styles of dance. It is thin and easily run, but that is something I expect. Especially for under $15.

    A must for me

    by: Bren - 10/10/2007 - Georgia,

I totally love these. I own a few pairs. I even wear these with formal dresses. It's wonderful to not have anything cutting into your waist.

    What on Earth!?!

    by: DancerGirl - 06/15/2007 - Chicago,

After reading such great things about these tights, I decided to order them! Unfortunately, I'm quite disappointed and really hoping I received a defective pair! Just by looking at these tights, you can tell the legs are not proportional, and when I put them on, the crotch hit me at the knees! I could still pull the shoulder straps up but needless to say, they weren't going to work. I consulted the size chart and my other Danskin tights several times and I'm definitely in the right size. What's going on? I'm so sad!

    by: Veeter - 03/28/2007 - Pennsylvania,

The body tights are wonderful. I hate traditional tights because of the waist band. I teach almost 20 classes per week, plus, take 2 classes a week, and no runs, no holes, just great tights.

    by: K.L. - 03/14/2007 - Missouri,

Although I have only worn them to practice, these tights have a sort of shiny affect to them, making it look somewhat weird. Make sure you are aware of this before purchasing this body suit.

  • What color is the model wearing in the item picture?

    by: KrystynC (04/04/2013)

I can't tell if it is NUDE or BALLET PINK.

The model is wearing the nude color.

  • What is the difference between the Capezio 1811 and 1818? Thanks!

    by: CaraBeanHer (10/16/2012)

The 1811 has clear adjustable straps and the 1818 has matching elastic straps that are not adjustable.
    - DDS Customer Service (10/18/2012)

The difference between 1811 and 1818 is the positioning of the straps on the back. - Costumedesigner (09/19/2014)
