This broad fit demi pointe shoe best accommodates a broad forefoot with even length toes, has no shank and is designed for the dancer preparing for an introduction to pointe work. Features include a broad toe box, an internally cushioned broad platform, a stitched toe box with quiet toe construction, a low vamp and round throat, a soft cotton lining and foam insole, a light strength box, a 3/4 feathered pasted box with very light wings, bias side seams, satin binding, elastic drawstring and a short suede outer sole with compo construction. Ribbons not included.
These shoes are terrible! I ordered these for my little sister who is just starting pointe, she is a size 8.5 with high arches, and a square shaped foot. We ordered a size 9.0 M and a W (just to be safe) The M was ridiculously small, and the W barely fit. The shoe itself looks cheap, did not support my sisters foot at all! I do not think it would have lasted 15min in class before breaking . I will not be buying this shoe again..
Beautiful shoes arrived to me after I had inquired about the sizing with Discount Dances question/answer post. While I was told that they size approximately to a street shoe, the sizing chart is VASTLY wrong and at least a size and a half smaller than a street size. Beautiful quality and construction but buyer beware when ordering--order up!
Can you please post a link to a Capezio-to-street size conversion table? Thanks!
The suggested fitting on this shoe is to start with your street shoe size. This shoe fits best with Broad forefoot with even length toes. Fitting is a suggestion and is not a guarantee. Suggested fitting as per Capezio. - DDS Customer Service (10/10/2012)
