Other reviews say this runs small in the girth/length, but to me it seems like this leo is made to be very jazz/hi-cut. You can see that just by looking at the models in the picture wearing it. I only own like 3 hi-cut leos but this is by far the highest I've ever owned. Without me adjusting it it sits a good inch or so above dance shorts if I wear them. I also agree with what the other reviewer's say about the baggy armpits, I had the same issue. Besides that it's a very pretty leo and the orange color is nice.
I got this leotard from a friend because she was quitting dance. It is beautiful, with the low back and the pleated chest looking gorgeous. However, it didn't fit. I'm 5'3", about 80lbs with no boobs. I got it in black, in the x-small/petite. The girth was fine, even though it said it would be big on the chart, so maybe it was a little small in that dimension. However, under the armpits there were huge gaps of fabric. As well as looking like I was growing wings in my pits, you could kind of see too much of my chest through the sides, if you know what I mean. The straps are thick and supportive, so this would probable be a good leo for someone with significant boobs, but don't try it if you have a small chest like me.
I have had this leotard for almost a month and I love it! The fit in the armpits and bum is a little weird, but I don't notice it when I am in dance class. I love how high it is in the front and has a nice leg line. It is comfortable and has lasted well so far!
I know that you should wear a leotard before you review it, but I am going to return it. When I pulled it out of the box/bag, I noticed that while the fabric was extremely soft, it is also very thin and fairly see through. It was sort of hard to get it on, but once I had it on it was a lot better. However, there was this weird gaping that was happening sort of in my armpit. I don't have a huge chest, and I wasn't hanging out, but it looked really wide from the front and came farther forward than I would have liked on the sides (sorry if that didn't make sense....I am having trouble explaining!# Also, it was very tight in the bum. I definitely DO NOT have a big bum, but it sort of rode up and gave a really bad wedgie/really bad panty lines. I actually think that it is because the fabric if so soft. Also, on the graph thing, the "runs small" went way farther than I would have wanted. The torso was pretty good and supportive #except for the armpits), it was just tight in the bum. Just know that it is much closer to "true to size" than "runs small"
To sum up: very soft and pretty but with major armpit gaping and wedgie problems.
Unfortunately, this leo didn't work for me. However, if this leo fit you, and I am sure it would work for a lot of people, than it would be GORGEOUS!!!
