10/29/08 by Marisa from San Diego CA Ok, but not that great.
Rating: 4 I couldn't use these as actual pointe shoes, but I use them in some of my flat classes to gain strength. They are soft and flattering, but the box was unsupportive. Therefore, I only use them for exam classes.
10/29/08 by Em Rating: 4 I've been dancing on pointe for 7 years and have worn these shoes for about 2 years and I really like them. Even though I get a hard shank, they are pretty soft. If you have strong enough feet to pull back in your ankles so you don't roll over your shoes, then they should work great for you!
10/20/08 by LaCignaDiBalletto Poorly made
Rating: 3 The fabric on top of the shank on the inside came up and would not stop getting folded and it really hurt when I danced. I tried gluing it back in place and it still didn't work.
10/16/08 by Anonymous from Flagstaff Rating: 5 I absolutely love these shoes! They work so well for my feet. In class, I was able to go en pointe when they were still brand new. Even though they do get a little soft in the box after a while, I would highly recommend them for anyone, beginner or advance, who loves dancing in pointe.
10/15/08 by Anonymous from South Carolina Ugh
Rating: 1 These shoes are terrible. They are the first shoes I have EVER worn and I killed these shoes in 1hr 45 mins!!! and all I did was beginner stuff like releves and roll ups!!! I do not recommend these shoes.
09/09/08 by Evangeline from Maryland Too soft.
Rating: 2 I like these shoes. I wanted them a lot. But when I tried them on at the store, I was way over the box. I would kill these instantly. I would recommend these for a beginner.
09/06/08 by Casey from North Carolina Nice and comfy, but the box is too soft
Rating: 3 These pointe shoes are really, really soft! If you have a hard time breaking in shoes, then these are the shoe for you. If you wear out shoes fast, these are NOT the shoe for you. Everyone's foot is different-- as for me, I don't think I'll buy these again. I'm planning on using lots of Jet-Glue on these so maybe that will help. Oh and by the way, the color is kind of a bizarre orange.
08/15/08 by Heather from Virginia Great for narrow, strong feet
Rating: 5 This is the 5th brand of shoes I have tried. First Bloch, Capezio, 2 different Grishko's and now these Chacott's. I have very narrow feet, 8.5 narrow. I ordered these in the hard shank and I like how the box softened up quickly and the shank has held up. I recommend getting fitted in these first before ordering online. Everyone's foot is different and these worked for me.
08/05/08 by Jen from Virginia Rating: 5 The "Veronese II" pointe shoe is a gorgeous great quality pointe shoe. They last a long time (unless your feet grow!) They also look great on stage!
08/05/08 by Anonymous Great for beginners
Rating: 4 Chacotts are my first pair of pointe shoes and so far I love them. They are great for beginners because the shank is so soft, making them super easy to break-in. If you are a beginner, I would get the medium shank. The only complaint that I have is the color (orange!), but I've gotten used to it. Otherwise, these shoes are awesome.
07/12/08 by Geneva from Massachusetts Awesome
Rating: 5 Best pointe shoe I've ever had. I have a moderate arch and fairly weak ankles although I have been on pointe for almost 6 years. However, these pointes have strengthened my feet so much and perfectly fit my medium/wide size 6 1/2 feet. Although yes, they do wear out quickly, especially the medium shanks, they are completely worth it if you want a shoe that comfortably flatters your feet while making pointe easier if your ankles are not great.
07/10/08 by Kelly A relief from super-hard pointe shoes!
Rating: 5 After about five pairs of Bloch Sonatas, I got very frustrated because though I don't have the greatest arch, they still weren't flexible enough for me. As soon as I tried on the Chacotts they felt perfect. I got the hard shank because the medium one was too flexible, even for me! I've worn them three times a week for about two months, and they aren't worn down at all, and are super comfortable. The only thing not absolutely perfect is that mine bend closer to the ball of my foot than my heel. A nice flexible shoe!
07/05/08 by Ashley from Chicago Good!
Rating: 5 These pointe shoes were my first pair! I got fitted in them and they did me great, until they broke-in too much. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a soft shoe, and a beginner pointe dancer, because they have a very soft shank. They break-in very quickly(Beware!) I think they are good! One bad thing is that they are ORANGE! I can't stand the color! Please Chacott company, change the color!
07/05/08 by Lisa from Ohio Nice
Rating: 5 Very flexible but they don't last long. I suggest getting some jet-glue.
06/19/08 by Mackenzie from California Rating: 5 These are my first pair of pointe shoes and so far I love them. They are very comfortable and they are easy to do demi pointe in. They are great!!! They also flatter the foot and don't make it look too long. LOVE THEM!
06/18/08 by SDAdancer Rating: 5 I've had these pointe shoes twice going on 3 times and I love them! They are really quiet and last a long time. I only wish they had color options. My instructor is making us have pink pointe shoes and not orangey ones, therefore I have to find another brand.
06/12/08 by Anonymous from California Rating: 3 I love them! I have a hard time buying pointe shoes because I have wide feet and large bunions, but these are great. They don't hurt, and are great for people with short toes. However, they are an awful color (orange!) and they don't last. I got a medium shank and I felt like I was wearing a dead shoe the first time I wore them. But for fitting and comfort... they're great!
06/09/08 by Tasie from Logan, UT Rating: 3 I love these shoes! They worked really well for the first few weeks but then they started to hurt. The fabric doesn't wear easily so they last a long time.
06/06/08 by Anonymous Rating: 4 I love my Chacott Veronese II!!= I've had them for about 2 months now, and I am taking them for CPYB Summer Intensive! They are really comfortable! I used to use Grishko 2007, but they heart my toes! I HIGHLY recommend these shoes. The toe vamp is great. The only thing is they don't last me very long :[
05/28/08 by Anonymous Rating: 4 These shoes worked well for me. I have a low arch and it was the easiest shoe for me to roll through. After my first class in them, I jet-glued the box to keep it hard and it's worked well for me. I'm still using them after two months and they haven't died yet.
05/25/08 by Anonymous Great
Rating: 5 These are my favorite shoes. I have a really good arch and wide feet. These worked great for me. The vamp is low so it doesn't hurt the sides of your feet( on that little bally thingy). I love them so much. And the fitting chart is very correct.
05/16/08 by Huil Great
Rating: 5 This is the best shoe ever, I love them so much. They are comfortable, great for a really good arch and wide feet. They are really quiet and my favorite so far <3
05/10/08 by Anonymous My favorite pair of shoes!
Rating: 5 These shoes are awesome. They fit me great. I love the color of them when they first come. I do have to say though, that these shoes give me super duper bad blisters when they are new. I always order the hard shank and it holds up but I am still able to get over on them very far. These shoes do not hurt at all. I love them!
04/14/08 by Ms. N from Seminole, FL These have long been a favorite!
Rating: 5 The medium shank will feel like a soft shank in other brands. The medium shank makes a great performance shoe. It will break-in quickly. But don't worry, it will conform to your foot and stay that way. You should get fairly good wear from this shoe. I highly recommend this shoe if you have a wider foot! It has a quiet box, too! I can't say enough about this shoe. I've been recommending them to our students for quite some time now. If you need to color your shoes to match a costume, these held up very well when we used acrylic spray.
04/02/08 by Iluvdance from Arizona Really Good!
Rating: 5 I have had these shoes for almost a year, the same pair! They are great shoes, and are easy to get over, but not too easy. I had Freeds before but they hurt really bad, so the Chacotts are really, really comfortable!!! I love these shoes!
03/28/08 by Anonymous from California Rating: 4 I had these as my first shoe and they died very quickly. Also, my big toes hurt a lot, so I started using Big Tips. My second and third pairs were both Bloch and the shank was too hard on both and the box too rounded. My teacher suggested I start wearing my old Chacotts to class and with stronger feet they are working well for me. The shank was easy to break in and they form well to the foot. GREAT for people with narrow heels or just an all around narrow foot. I think that with these it depends on the person and on the strength of the foot.
03/27/08 by RLT from Philadelphia, PA Rating: 4 These shoes are perfect for people with a low arch. The vamp is the perfect length, so you can "roll through" easily.
02/25/08 by Anonymous Rating: 5 Love them! Although these shoes are extremely soft and die quickly, they mold to the foot very well and they are easy to get over the box. I recommend them to people who have a problem getting over their toes. The box is soft, so jet glue is helpful.
02/11/08 by Catherine from Georgia Rating: 1 I was really bummed about these shoes. They are not made for dancers with long toes. The box is way too short for my feet. They cause my arch to break down by my toe joint and not further up my foot. I spent a lot of $ on them, hoping they were "the" shoe & I don't like them. I would only recommend these shoes to someone with short toes. I'm going back to Bloch's.
01/27/08 by Anonymous from Maryland Amazing
Rating: 5 These last so much longer than my Grishkos ever did. I'm so glad my friend got me to switch. Definitely worth every penny.
01/25/08 by Gina from Oklahoma Love them!
Rating: 5 These are my favorite pointe shoes by far! I have EXTREMELY tapered feet and they are the only ones that I don't have to stuff tons of stuff in between my little toes to fill up all the extra space. I have been on pointe for 6 years and I have never had a better pointe shoe :)
01/20/08 by Mom from Duncansville, PA Soft As Butter!!!
Rating: 5 Awesome shoe. Molds quickly to the foot. Prolong the shank life with a little Jet Glue. For "dead" toe box try the Toe Savers... Unless you are a fan of feeling the floor.
12/30/07 by Chacott-lover from Pennsylvania The Best
Rating: 5 Simply the best, in quality, looks, style, and especially comfort. These shoes have always worked perfectly for me, but I dance on pointe so much, I go through 2-3 pairs of Veronese a week! I have tried everything else under the sun, but I am going back to my trusty Veronese. These work so well, that at this point, I am willing to go through as many pairs of Veronese as it takes per week. I am however, going to order custom Veronese from Japan, and also ordering their newest pointe shoe, the COAD 2 which is supposed to be harder all around. The COAD 1 shoe is great for someone wanting a slightly harder Veronese with a shorter vamp!
Chacott is my fave dance brand evers!
Like everyone else says, these are very soft dainty shoes, the shank however, is quite durable in hard strength.
12/15/07 by Maddie from New Orleans, LA Not very good
Rating: 3 I have been on pointe for about 3 years and I had gone with Grishko for my first and second pairs of pointe shoes. The Grishkos worked great for me and fit me well and then all of a sudden when i went to get new point shoes none of the sizes fit me. So they tried these shoes on me and they made my feet look beautiful and I could easily get on pointe. I bought these shoes and after my first class on them they became soft. I have pretty strong feet and a good arch, but my feet are narrow and long. A lot of the pressure was on my big toe and it felt as if a knife was going through my toe. By my second class the pain was unbearable. I would suggest going with Grishko if you ever had this problem.
11/08/07 by Dancing queen Wow
Rating: 5 I love my Chacotts! The only problem I have is how soft the box gets after only 3 or 4 practices. I have been on pointe for about a year and a half and I am currently in my third pair. I guess my arch is average. I haven't' really had any trouble with the shank though. Just the box. Oh well. I love them anyway!
10/23/07 by Sue from California Love love love them
Rating: 5 I love these shoes! I went through them fairly quickly so thought I would try Bloch and Gaynor Minden. I went back to the Chacott because they just felt the best and I didn't mind having to replace them every month or so.
10/08/07 by Leslie from Montana Rating: 5 Chacotts were my first pointe shoe. I had them in 22D medium shank and just loved them. My feet are very strong though and I have high arches, so medium shank didn't work for me. I tried Gaynor Mindens for awhile, and while they weren't too bad. I much preferred Chacotts and got them in a hard shank. They really flatter the foot and work really well for narrow feet. Although the shanks come pretty hard, the boxes are less strong than I'd prefer, so be ready to be replacing shoes a lot if you get these.
09/23/07 by Erika from Port Allen, LA Not for me...
Rating: 2 Well, my first year of pointe, I had Grishko Elites, size 3.5 XXXXX. Yes, 5. They fit my foot perfect, but hurt my big toe, so I looked for new ones. At the store, they were so comfortable, I fell in love. But, the woman told me I would HAVE to cross-elastic them. When I got to class, I had them sewn, and was very eager to begin on these beautiful shoes. The box is very soft, making them the most comfortable shoes I have ever put on my feet! But, the vamp is hard (which causes me to not go all the way over on my pointe, even after I tried breaking them in different ways). I personally can't wait until I get back to my Grishko's, but they are the most beautiful and comfortable I have ever seen or put on.
Another girl at my studio uses them, and they fit her way better than they fit me, so I'm guessing they just don't fit me.
08/17/07 by Anonymous I love these!
Rating: 5 I love these shoes so much!
I am 14 and I've been on pointe for almost four years and I'm really light, so it's hard for me to break-in pointe shoes. But these are a breeze because my first pair were Freeds. Not the best choice for beginners so these are good for your first pair.
08/14/07 by Sarah from Massachusetts Wear out quickly
Rating: 4 These pointe shoes are great for people with high arches but they wear out pretty quickly. I bought this pair of pointe shoes for performances and rehearsals only and another pair for regular classes. Wearing pointe shoe covers also helped.
08/08/07 by newpointshoes Good for Beginners
Rating: 4 These were the shoes I bought for my 2nd year of pointe. I had the soft shank, and they were quite comfortable. The only problem is that they "died" too easily. If you only have one pointe class, that's fine, but if you take several hours, you'll have to buy a new pair just weeks after you put them on. They get THAT soft THAT quick! My director has a strict policy about wearing "dead" shoes. First, it's dangerous, and not really easy to dance in. Great shoes for beginners though, I recommend them to everyone that just started pointe work.
07/15/07 by Kia from Alabama I love these shoes!
Rating: 5 I have owned these shoes for about two months now, and they are working so well! I have been dancing for about four years now, and these are the most comfortable pointe shoes that I have ever worn. Who knew that pointe shoes could be so comfortable--and cute!
06/25/07 by Mallory from New York I hated these as a beginner
Rating: 2 These were my first pair of pointes, and they did not flatter my feet at all! My arches looked low, it was very hard to get over the box of the shoe (broken in or not). They were not worth the price at all. Another girl in my class had these, and they worked for her, but her feet were exceptionally strong. I must say, though, that they mold very quickly to your feet, but are not good for weaker feet.
06/05/07 by Ballet girl OK
Rating: 3 I got these for an audition when my shoes broke at the last minute, because Chacotts are already broken in. They are the most comfortable shoes out there, but they are way too soft. It was, however, good practice to really pull up out of my shoes.
06/02/07 by Anonymous Amazing
Rating: 5 I've tried on so many pointe shoes before I tried on these. I absolutely love this pair. I have sort of flat and wide feet, and they aren't incredibly strong. However, these shoes are just to die for. They look so stream-lined. They're just so great. I can't wait to use them in class.
05/18/07 by BalletDancer from Washington Rating: 5 I love these shoes and I have quite a few friends that also have them and they love them too. I have really bad arches, and these are the best shoes I have had. Good for jumping, turning, strong feet, and they break in in no time! I highly recommend these shoes for anyone who does not have beautifully arched feet!
05/14/07 by Anonymous I am so enraged!
Rating: 4 OKAY--so I have very inflexible ankles, and a moderate arch. Basically, my feet don't have a very good point, but they are very strong. I got these because the pointe shoe fitter told me the shank was very soft and they were good for people with inflexible feet. SHE WAS SO WRONG. The shoes were as hard as rocks. Being an inexperienced pointe shoe buyer, I thought the shoes just weren't "broken in" or whatever. So I wore them for a year, and they got only a slight bit better. Whenever I went up on releve or pointed my foot, the shank wouldn't even bend and form to my arch. Plus, I could barely make it up to the top of the box because the stupid shanks were holding me back. Finally, my new ballet teacher asked me what kind of shoes I had, and became shocked when I told her. She has the most flexible feet and highest arches I have ever seen, and when she used to try on pointe shoes, her feet were so flexible that they broke as soon as she pointed her foot. She was told to get CHACOTTS because they had one of the hardest shanks on the market. She told me that the shoes were lifesavers for her, but OBVIOUSLY NOT for ME! In conclusion: Do not get these if you have low arches/inflexible ankles! I can't speak for myself, but I suppose they work well for people with extremely high arches. It's not the shoe's fault (so I'm not giving it a bad rating) but it just made me so angry when my teacher told me!
Thank you for reading :)
04/20/07 by Anonymous These shoes are great!
Rating: 4 I have had a lot of trouble finding the right shoe. I have very strong feet and a good arch. My Aunt bought me these and I was surprised to find that they fit me perfectly! They make your feet look even slimmer and smaller than they normally are and they are really great for performing. The only problem is, how quickly they break-in. But as I have this problem with every shoe that I try, it doesn't really bother me that much anymore. These shoes are great, you should give them a try =]
04/19/07 by Jenny from Seattle, WA I love these shoes!
Rating: 5 These shoes are the epitome of the perfect pointe shoe. I have pointe class four times a week for five years, & these shoes lasted longer than any other brand I've had. The box is easy to get up on, and the shoe doesn't hurt my toes like other pointe shoes. These shoes are good for people with toes that generally are the same length. And besides being a good performing shoe, they look pretty too.
04/12/07 by The World's Greatest Ballerina Even if I wanted to try these...
Rating: 1 They don't even make my size! My feet are big, but they're still only women's 9.5. They don't go wide enough, either. They need to make bigger sizes because not everyone has tiny feet.
04/09/07 by Jessica from Miami,FL Rating: 3 When I first started pointe (10 yrs.) these shoes were fine. However, after about two months, my feet got very, very, very strong and the shoes started to die way too fast. At age 11, I could break them in at the beginning of a pointe class, and they would die in three days. Now at age 13, I changed to Blochs and they are dying in three weeks, not three days.
04/08/07 by Laurisa from Washington, DC Extremely soft shoe
Rating: 4 I do love how snug these shoes fit and they don't hardly cause ANY blisters, but they are so soft! They don't give any support for my ankles, and my ankles aren't weak, but aren't strong either. I don't want to keep buying new pointe shoes every single class, and on top of all that, I have a really nice arch, and these shoes make my arch look surprisingly much worse! I can't understand why, because every one who claims to have these, say their arch looks really good!
04/06/07 by Anna from Washington, DC The BEST!
Rating: 5 I have been looking for a different type of pointe shoe for a year now because my Block "Sonatas" were awful. They weren't comfortable until completely broken in and caused SO many blisters! But these fit perfectly and are soo beautiful. They are really easy to balance in. I recommend them to anyone! But they break-in fast, especially for people with strong feet, and make bunions look really big (if you have them).
03/29/07 by momandmeme@yahoo.com Great shoe
Rating: 5 I have tried many shoes. Grishko and Russians are my favorites, only due to they do not wear as quickly. I have truly enjoyed these Chacotts. Very comfy, great fit, dances well. The down side is, they do tend to "break in" too quickly. Overall, worth the price. Great shoe -- will continue to buy them.
03/13/07 by K Rating: 4 I really love this shoe. I have a very small arch and I have always had a hard time pushing over on to my pointe. This shoe really makes my foot look nice on pointe and it is really easy to get up in them. They do wear out quicker than some other shoes I have had, but they are definitely worth it. Really comfortable box and after one technique class, they will be molded to your foot.
03/05/07 by T-bubbles from Seminole, FL Great performance shoe (medium shank)
Rating: 5 I wear a 23.5 E Medium shank on stage. I slip them on the day before and just pop up onto the box a few times. I wear the 23.5 E Hard Shank in class. I have a strong arch, medium instep, and somewhat wide feet (E). I love these shoes. Read my review that I wrote about a year ago. See 6/14/06 below.
Great shoes! I sprayed my old medium shanks red and wore them again in December. They held up pretty good, with about 8 hours of dance on them. Ordering new ones today for our April performance. These are P-e-r-f-e-c-t-i-o-n!
03/05/07 by Lara N. from Seminole, FL Buy two!
Rating: 5 The medium shank requires little to no break-in time and provides for a clean beautiful look on stage. It is an excellent performance shoe. If you need new shoes right before a performance, THESE ARE THE ONES! The Medium shank molds to your arch quickly, yet provides the strength you need to dance with confidence. The hard shank is good for class and when you have time to break them in. Get both, Medium and Hard. Switch to your medium shank shoes for performances and wear the hard shanks in class.
02/11/07 by Carol from Illinois Good if your foot isn't super strong
Rating: 5 These shoes work great for me. I don't have a very strong foot and my arch is practically non-existent. I know people say these shoes break in really quickly, but since my foot isn't super strong, I get these shoes in a hard shank and I'm fine.
02/11/07 by Kat from Walnut Creek, CA GREAT SHOES!!!
Rating: 5 I LOVED these shoes. I have a not-so-flexible arch and they made my arches look great. The only thing is, I'm used to Grishkos so they were very soft in comparison. Also, it is a weird feeling how hard the shank is and how SOFT the box is (I got the full shank ones). The box was dead after doing technique class. Don't try these with just lambswool though . . . it makes your bunions(if you have them) look horrible and also makes them worse. Wear toepads with these shoes, they are too soft to be worn bare.
02/11/07 by Dani Rating: 5 These shoes are wonderful. I have very slender feet and almost every other kind of shoe I could find, without ordering, made my feet look boxy and very unattractive. This fit like a dream and are extremely elegant looking for my performances. One thing is, I know a friend on pointe, and she is a little bit heavy and these shoes cannot support her very well. These shoes seem to be made for smaller people, with slender feet. They do break in easily, but I would still say they are worth it. Still, it's OK to go out and try other types of shoes. I had probably ten other brands before I found this and fell in love.
01/21/07 by Anonymous Rating: 5 When I first started pointe I tried a lot of shoes, but the Chacott shoes were the best. I've been on pointe for a year now and used barely three pairs and I have to admit that they do break in a bit too fast.
01/14/07 by Grace Rating: 5 I have horrible bunions and found that the wingless box works great to alleviate the pain, even though the shoe is tapered. As other reviews have mentioned, they do break in quickly, but the key to making them last is Jet Glue. Apply inside of the box and they could last you forever, and if you have problems with the shank, just 3/4 shank them where you need to. Best shoes I've found for bad bunions.
01/04/07 by Emilee from Atlanta, GA Rating: 5 I have been dancing for 12 years now, & I've had many different styles of point shoes. This is definitely the best shoe that there is. They are quick to break in, but that's perfect when you have a tight schedule. I even broke them in just 2 weeks before a show once! I love these shoes & I wouldn't have a different brand. Also, my heels are extremely narrow but the top of my feet are broad. These are the only shoes I've ever found that fit me perfectly. These shoes are ideal for both swift movement & adagio pieces. Try them, it's worth it.
01/03/07 by Chrisey Rating: 1 I had just bought a new pair of these a week ago and already they have a broken shank. I hate these shoes. If I were you I would go with Grishko's.
01/02/07 by Marie from Wisconsin Rating: 1 I really didn't like these shoes. They felt nice when I tried them on, but as soon as I got to class, they started to break in in the box. It was a really weird feeling because the arch of the shoe was fine (I got a shoe with a hard shank) but the box was broken in.
12/10/06 by Anonymous Rating: 3 These shoes were my first pair. I think they are really good for beginners not people who are more advanced. They are soft and break in very quickly.
12/09/06 by mtshoegirl Loved!
Rating: 5 I bought this shoe from my dance academy and I loved it! It's a lightweight shoe for easy break-in and it's very pretty on stage!!! BUY THIS SHOE!
11/18/06 by Pink Ballerina from New Jersey Great Shoe
Rating: 5 Wonderful shoes! They are very comfortable and fit fantastically! The only bad thing is that when they break in, they're done (and it doesn't take too long to reach that point). They were perfect while they lasted though! But when they start to go, buy a new pair right away.
11/07/06 by Happy Chacott wearer from Texas My perfect shoe
Rating: 5 These shoes are fantastic. I couldn't be happier with them and I find that they last me longer than any shoe I've ever worn.
11/05/06 by CiCi from Oregon Fantastic Shoes
Rating: 5 These are the only shoes I have ever owned and I love them. They are perfect for people with narrow feet, and tapered toes. I love the peachy color and the elegant look of these shoes. I will say that these shoes break down easily, and the box becomes soft and mushy, making it feel like my toes are actually touching the ground. I am going to try another shoe to see if they last longer, but I have a feeling I will come back to the Chacott. Oh, and for class, buy a hard shank!
11/05/06 by Andrea ciaraldi from Morrisville VT Rating: 5 When we try and order this shoe, it is often back ordered.
10/30/06 by Madeleine from Hartford CT Rating: 4 I've been wearing these shoes for about 10 weeks now, and I couldn't be happier. The second I put them on I knew they were the shoes for me. They molded to my high arches with minimal effort, and the wingless design is perfect for the width of my feet. I've tried many other pointe shoes, and I had to practically destroy all of them to get them to fit properly, but these I can sew and wear with almost no time spent breaking them in. They were awkward to get used to after always wearing much more supportive shoes, but once I did, I felt stronger on pointe than I have in years. They also make my feet look amazing. If you have very wide feet with high arches and shorter toes, these might just be the shoes for you too.
10/23/06 by Jaimee from Glen Burnie, MD Great!!!
Rating: 4 They really are good shoes. There is only one problem- the shank is not hard enough for me! You should really buy them!!!
10/23/06 by Kailah from Connecticut Luv them
Rating: 4 These shoes are great! The only problem is that they break in really fast, and it's hard to balance on them. It also feels like the tip of your toe is touching the ground. Otherwise, they're the most comfortable pointe shoes I've ever had!
10/15/06 by Anonymous Great performance shoes
Rating: 5 Like many pre-pro dancers, I first bought these in a panic when I found myself with no workable shoes and a performance 24 hours away. I loved them. Very soft and comfortable. I have bunions, so the wingless box felt marvelous; no pain, even after a 2hr performance. I was hoping they could hold up for awhile after the show, but they didn't. The shank quickly started to bend in a much lower place than my high arch; I even started to knuckle in them, which I never do. And after only a second application of Jet Glue, the H shank became so brittle that it snapped. So, not for class use for me. But anytime I find myself without good shoes for a show, I buy a pair of these, and have no worries.

Rating: 4 This shoe is my favorite shoe (next to my Russians). I couldn't find the right shoe until I found these. My feet just looked horrible in all the other shoes that I tried. I don't really like that these shoes die out really quickly though. They are great for performances, but I wouldn't recommend them for class use, unless you are willing to replace them every month or two. Oh and the color is so cute!
09/10/06 by Bryn from Boston Love them
Rating: 5 I love these shoes. They don't last long, but they put me right up and over my toes like no other shoe does. And, helps me use my arch instead of tensing up my Achilles to stay over my toes. They give my foot, which I used to think were ugly, a beautiful line. If you're OK with replacing shoes often, then these are great.
09/09/06 by April from New York Rating: 3 These shoes are very comfortable, but die very easily.
09/01/06 by Christy Rating: 3 I used to wear these and I had them for about 2 years. After wearing them for technique class once, they were dead. Also, the shank bent in a funny place which made the shoe look weird.
08/25/06 by Rebecca Rating: 4 I love this shoe. I used these shoes for a few years. Unfortunately, even the hard shank doesn't last too long if you have a strong arch. Overall it's comfortable and helps create a beautiful line.
08/11/06 by Claire from Nebraska Rating: 5 I own these shoes and they work wonders!! I have very odd shaped feet and struggled for a while to get some that fit and then my teacher recommended these and they fit PERFECTLY!! I absolutely love them!
08/10/06 by KW from Nebraska Rating: 5 This shoe is awesome! My feet look great in them and they break in so easily! They do tend to wear out quickly, but the time in them is worth the cost.
08/09/06 by Emma from Hawaii Rating: 2 These shoes were comfortable but the box and shank broke in only four weeks. They also did not flatter my feet.
07/08/06 by Susan from New York Break in time
Rating: 3 These shoes are very popular because of the way they flatter feet and their nice fit. However, I wore Chacotts in one class and they died! They are not durable at all and I had to sew the vamp of the shoe so my sole wouldn't pop out. Everyone's feet are different though, so they may work out for you.

Rating: 4 I don't actually own these shoes, but I tried them on during a pointe shoe fitting, and noticed that my feet looked really weird. It was because I have fairly wide feet, and these shoes are quite tapered. However, a girl at my studio wears them, and she has narrow, tapered feet with medium/low arches, and they look absolutely lovely on her.
06/25/06 by Nico from Michigan Rating: 4 Beautiful shoes, great for pointe dancers with narrow feet and/or bunions. However, I only danced for about an hour on the medium shank before it was soft...and I don't have terribly strong feet! I'd recommend the hard shank if you're going to wear these as a rehearsal shoe.
06/22/06 by Josalinn Great!
Rating: 5 I have been dancing on pointe for 3 years now and this is by far the best shoe I've had. They shape perfectly to my not so perfect feet and make them look great. My teacher loved them and now 3 other girls in my classes have them. I have improved so much on pointe with these shoes.
06/14/06 by T-Bubbles from Seminole, FL Rating: 5 I broke my shank (different shoe) the day before a performance and was frantic. Because there was no time to break in new shoes, I bought the Chacott (medium shank) at the recommendation of my instructor. I was so relieved once I put them on! Thank you! I have to admit, they only lasted a few weeks. I'm getting the hard shank this time. My advice, don't panic...get the Chacott Medium Shank!
06/09/06 by Mel from Brooklyn, NY Finally!!
Rating: 5 I am a beginner student and was having such a frustrating time finding pointes that were comfortable & fit well. These shoes are amazing. The wingless box are perfect for my bunions and since they are a softer shoe, I can get over my box a lot easier. Love them!!
06/05/06 by Niki from Massachusetts Rating: 4 I have very narrow feet, and these shoes fit great, better than most I have tried. I am an experienced pointe dancer, so my feet are strong, and they allowed me to transition from demi to pointe very easily. I would not recommend them for beginners. I broke my big toe a few years back and the shorter box on the shoe makes it much more comfortable for me.
06/04/06 by Lauren Rating: 3 When I first tried on these shoes, I absolutely loved them, because they felt like they were made for my feet. They are very comfortable and soft, so break in time is minimal. The box however, wears down very quickly and after only three weeks of dancing for four hours a week on them, they were dead. I recommend them if you have a show soon but not if you're looking for a long lasting pointe shoe.
05/20/06 by Allison from Shreveport, LA Rating: 4 This is a great fitting shoe, however the box breaks down much faster than the shanks.
05/12/06 by Katie from Eugene, OR Rating: 5 I have very narrow feet and this shoe fits great. Most pointe shoes are too wide and my foot slides around too much. It is by far the most comfortable pair I have owned!!
05/08/06 by Anonymous Rating: 5 I started out in these shoes 6 years ago. They actually last pretty long for me, and make my normally terrible feet look lovely. I've wandered away from them, but I'm seriously considering coming back to them because they felt pretty good. All my other shoes are so hard to balance on, but if I remember correctly, these had fairly good balance.
04/25/06 by Kelly from Murrieta CA Rating: 4 Comfy, quick to break in shoe. Also, quick to break down shoe! I have short toes and a high arch and sometimes have trouble going over in a higher vamped shoe. It fits my foot like a glove, I don't sink into the box. I feel "held", like it's a part of my foot. It's an elegant shoe, not at all "clunky" looking. The color is nice too, a subdued peachy pink.

Rating: 3 These shoes, though flattering, are too soft and are too easy to sickle in.
04/17/06 by Anonymous Don't last long!
Rating: 3 I have a wide short foot and these are very flattering! I do 8 hours of pointe a week and these shoes lasted 2-3 weeks. You don't really get the bang for your buck. I have a very high arch which became extremely tight and sore. The box wears out quickly. These are a good pair of performance shoes. They really elongate the leg while on pointe, making the line look very, very nice; but I wouldn't suggest them for every day.

Rating: 4 I bought these shoes after taking a year off from dance. I really liked the security I felt in them. I like how it has a higher vamp but it doesn't look ugly. These shoes didn't hardly take any time to break in, which in my case was awesome. The thing I am a little disappointed in, is the left side of my right shoe's box has become dangerously soft. And it is true that they really don't last very long. But all in all, they've been a great pair of shoes!!
04/12/06 by badfeetgal from Ohio fantastic for bunions!
Rating: 5 I have major bunions by my big toes, so it's hard to find a shoe that doesn't cause pain. This is totally my perfect shoe! I recommend it for anyone with bunions because the box still supports your toes but it's wingless so it doesn't press on your joints. It's true that they don't last long, but if regular pointe shoes cause you pain, it's worth it! You won't regret it. Plus, they're pretty for any width foot, and just about any kind of arch.
04/04/06 by Returning dancer soft and quiet, but short lived
Rating: 4 This is the softest, most comfortable pointe shoe I've ever worn. It requires little, if any, break in. If you like a soft shoe for adagio, this is a great one to try. If you like your shoes to last a long time, don't bother.
03/30/06 by Anonymous Rating: 5 I'd like to purchase this shoe but it doesnt come in a 9 1/2 street size
