11/09/09 by Anonymous They're okay (: Rating: 4 Yeah they're okay.
If you don't have calluses you just need to pat your toes in some baby powder or something to turn because these aren't the most practical things. They're comfy though! :D And they don't shift! Just get a small size so they're nice and tight!
10/30/09 by Anonymous Not Pratical Rating: 2 I have a couple pair of these shoes, and have been using them for a few years. They do come in several unique colors and patterns but they are not worth the money. FootUndeez do not cover all of the ball of your foot making them very hard to turn with. They also "twist" while on the foot, so the sole patches end up on the side of your foot, and these shoes rip very easily. I do not recommend these, and know a better alternative would be Dance Paws, or Foot Mittens.
10/17/09 by Nicole Quality not so good Rating: 2 I was expecting quite a bit from these and they didn't even last me a week! I thought I'd try them although I work mainly in bare feet and have built up some callous under the soles of my feet. However, these were quite the disappointment; after my first class, the stitching on the bottom of the FootUndeez were coming apart already. Not only this but the entire pad would twist from side to side on my foot and, sometimes, hinder my pirouettes. Will definitely look at alternatives or just keep dancing barefoot
10/13/09 by R. Rating: 5 Love them! Everything is great!
10/12/09 by Anne from Virginia Perfect for modern dance Rating: 5 Comfy and great for turns in modern.
08/31/09 by Moli from Chicago Not the best, not recomended Rating: 2 I had the Capezio FootUndeez, and was not satisfied. I tried this specific kind because mostly everyone in my company had these. Personally, I did not like. I have a narrow foot, and it was too loose for me. Also, by the time the recital came around, the whole thing was falling apart. By the second act I had to borrow some one else's. For the new year I am going to try the Leo's modern "Undeez", and I am ecstatic for a change!
08/21/09 by Dancer At Heart from Wisconsin Okay Rating: 3 I bought these shoes for my lyrical class and at first they were fine, but once I started doing across the floor combinations, they started falling off my feet. Maybe it was just the size I ordered, but I don't know. Overall they were okay, but buy these at your own risk, you will be pulling them up on your feet so they don't fall off alot!!!
08/03/09 by Anonymous from Indianapolis Amazing! Rating: 5 I wear these while I have my jazz shoes on and they make my feet feel more supported, and they help with keeping my feet from rubbing the bottoms of the shoes. I will buy these over and over again :)
07/27/09 by Keely from Montana Rating: 4 For me, these FootUndeez really worked well. I wore them for lyrical, ballet, and jazz since I have trouble turning on bare feet. I had them for about a year until they started to fall apart. But for what they are, I think a year is just about the right time to get a new pair anyways.
07/18/09 by Katie from Washington Not Worth it Rating: 2 I purchased a pair in May for my lyrical class as I had heard good reviews on them and had been using the DancePaws, and mines had ripped and wanted to try something new...
I will purchase dance paws this time! They ripped about a month after purchasing them which is too fast! Dance Paws last much longer and use much better quality, end of story.
07/16/09 by Tootsie from San Diego Rating: 5 I love these!
They work great for modern and I even wear them for jazz because I love them so much. I'm not a fan of turning on bare feet so these make turns much smoother and make for less blisters and calluses. Foot Undeez keep dancers' feet a little prettier.
On the down side--they are pretty delicate so be careful putting them on. I tore my first pair. :( But I still buy them 'cause they're great!
And they're so much more comfortable, I think, on your toes than the paws, etc.
07/15/09 by Kate from Louisiana Awesome! Rating: 5 These are awesome! I've had mine for about a year and a half and they never ripped or were uncomfortable. They work for everything. I wore them in hip hop to lyrical. We never use our jazz shoes now because we have these! They are great for turning and they look great on your feet. They never ride up on me and if you wear them the right way and on the right floor they work perfectly!
07/03/09 by 5678dance Rating: 2 I don't dance too much anymore (about 1 hour a week) but I needed a foot thong, so I ordered these since they were cheap, compared to other modern shoes. Within the month, the pads on the bottom fell off and the mesh ripped, even though the shoe actually felt too big. I would recommend investing in dancepaws, they'll last you much longer.
06/12/09 by Morgan from Texas Horrible for turns Rating: 2 When I first bought these last spring, I only wore them for perhaps an hour a week, so they were fine and I rarely did any turns. However, after the summer break I began wearing them again (still for only an hour a week) when I began to notice how much they shifted and bothered me during turns. I began using them for maybe 4-5 hours a day for at most three days before they completely fell apart, and the bottom soles tore off.
06/12/09 by Dancerskickbutt96 from New York Rating: 1 I got like five pairs of these and each one broke, the stitching comes out and the paws fall off . I will never get these again.
06/10/09 by Tricia from Indiana Better than the others, still not perfec Rating: 4 Maybe I got a size too small, but these keep wanting to slip off my feet. Better than the Bloch foot thong which chafed under my toes, though. When funds allow I will get the full foot Footundeez.
06/05/09 by Gabbie OK product Rating: 3 What I do like about these is that your feet don't stick to the floor during modern. However, they seem like they run a little small. I had to exchange mine for a bigger size. They don't last for a long time either.
05/30/09 by Andrea Rating: 1 I first time I wore them I was so excited because they looked extremely cute on my feet. But soon after the first turn they were scrunched up at my toes and not even on my foot. I fixed them and after the second turn one had torn. Not a good investment, I'll stick to my Bloch.
05/27/09 by Kira from idaho Rating: 4 I bought these for one dance class I had that was only one day a week. I only wore them a few times to the class and used them to perform a solo on a gym floor. They ripped and got holes in them really easily. They were really useful for turning and gave the right amount of friction so you don't slip or stick. I liked them a lot but they did not last long at all. They especially don't last if they are too small. I also have dance paws and they are less comfortable but do the same job and have so far lasted longer.
05/16/09 by Gina from Alabama Rating: 5 I love the FootUndeez. I used to use lyrical foot thongs, but the straps would pop too easily. I don't have too much problem with these slipping. They do wear a little bit faster if you dance on something besides a marley floor (I danced a hole in my latest pair within a couple of weeks). But that's expected if you dance every day.
05/16/09 by Dancefreeakk Okay product. Rating: 3 Footundeez are great, while they last. Order a size up, though, because I bought mine for competitions, and they've only survived through two.
They ripped right by my pinky toe. These are useful, just don't overwear them.
05/14/09 by DanceMom from New York Rating: 5 I purchased the striped Foot Undeez for my daughter's lyrical class. She loves them, and we recently added the glow in the dark skulls (which really do glow!) She absolutely loves them. We just bought the nude color for her recital, but they are much tighter than the printed ones, so we went up a size (she wears a womans 5 and normally buy an adult M). She has had the striped ones since August, no rips, no sliding, and no stretching out, and she wears them for about 4-5 hours each week. We would highly recommend them for someone who loves to stand out from the rest of the class!
05/11/09 by Jessica from Newport Beach Love these Rating: 5 Footundeez are so useful. I wear them all the time for my modern class because we're not allowed to wear jazz / ballet shoes. They're pretty long. The only reason why they rip is because I tore it with my finger nail when I was putting them on. They're great for turning and give the bare foot look.
They also can be worn under your jazz shoes for more protection. (I don't do that, it feels weird).
04/30/09 by Elizabeth from Virginia Not Worth It. Rating: 5 Visually, these look great on stage, but it's not worth the price of having to get several new pair every month because they rip so easily. I would move on to some other shoe, as these make turns somewhat difficult on certain types of floors.
04/27/09 by Kim from New Mexico Awesome, but with some disadvantages Rating: 4 I love these shoes! I wear them for modern, lyrical and teaching because I can't stand wearing most shoes. They help one turn wonderfully! The only downfall is they fall apart really fast. I go through about five pairs in one month.
04/26/09 by Piper from Louisiana They were ok Rating: 3 I really liked these at first but when I was in jazz or lyrical class they would ride up on my foot. Not only would they ride up but they would also rotate around my foot. But once I adjusted them they would work just fine.
04/11/09 by Anonymous Rating: 2 I had my mom buy these for me so the balls of my feet wouldn't hurt when I danced. And I wore them like four times and they hurt like crazy and fell apart! They did work for what I bought them for though, but I hated them!
04/07/09 by Kris from New Jersey OK for short periods of time Rating: 3 They work like they're supposed to, but tend to move on my foot if used for jazz or something with a lot of movement. OK for belly dance or something more stationery. I ordered the Medium first because I wear a 7.5, but needed a Large because I have a wider toe.
03/31/09 by Kiki Not My Favorite... Rating: 3 I gave the FootUndeez a 3 because they look very good and are comfortable. Be careful to get the right size, they will be painful if too small. One of the things that I hated about these: I wore them for jazz once and never again because after running a dance again and again I was having to continuously adjust them. After walking, turning, and dancing, they move towards the side of your foot so you lose your balance when turning because of the misaligned pads. I would not suggest these.
03/28/09 by Kara Rating: 4 I like these but they stretch out and slip off my foot everytime I buy them even if I buy a smaller size. I have a wide foot so I buy the XLarge and I tried the Large and they still stretched out. Other than that, they are great!
03/25/09 by Dancergirl Rating: 4 These footundeez are great! It makes it so much easier to turn, but the only problem is that they rip after 1 or 2 months.
03/24/09 by Anonymous Alright Rating: 3 These shoes are okay! They wear out kind of quick, but not too soon. They are sometimes hard to turn in. It helps to be on a ballroom floor and wearing these, because it is easier. When you turn with them on, you need to be sure to lift up your toes because if you don't, then your feet will stick and affect your turn. If you buy these for competition for the first time, then you will need to break them in for a few weeks.
03/20/09 by Stace Rating: 2 These started out feeling great but as time went on they began to stretch around the toes. When I first bought them they were snug and comfy. I stopped wearing them when I realized they were the reason my turns were so terrible and caused me to slip. The entire thing actually shifted on my foot and caused me to fall.
03/08/09 by KZ OK Rating: 3 These are OK but they're not that comfortable. I would recommend h07sc,same thing but made of stretchy fabric instead of mesh. The fabric ones are soooo much more comfortable and last longer, and they're colorful.
03/08/09 by Elle Rating: 5 I've had my FootUndeez for about a year, and they've been working perfectly. They make turning easier in modern class, and they are fairly close to matching my skin tone. I highly recommend them.
03/02/09 by sarah Amazing Rating: 5 I absolutely love FootUndeez! I ordered my first pair in September for my lyrical class. Within a month I also bought the zebra printed ones. They are very comfortable and I feel that the solid colors feel tight, the prints though fit perfectly. I now have the skull print ones for my jazz class. I would recommend these and once you buy one pair, you'll catch yourself buying more!
03/02/09 by Ann from Massachusetts Very comfortable Rating: 5 These are the first pair of toe pads that I have ever had and I am very pleased with them so far. I was concerned about them being too tight or too loose, but they are very comfortable. I usually wear a 9 1/2 street shoe and the size L fits nicely. My only complaint is that the stitching is coming undone after about 5 uses and I don't see them lasting very long.
02/21/09 by KaE from Ohio Rating: 5 I love my footundeez!!! I dance at my school and we do mostly modern with a little jazz, so basically all I do is dance barefoot. It's hard to turn barefoot, especially multiple turns, so I got a pair of these because the half-sock never works for me. I love that they give the ball of my foot just enough "slippery-ness" to turn, yet I can still be mostly barefoot like I need to be. The only problems are that since all the toes are out, the big toe still rubs against the floor making it a little hard to turn again. I have to readjust them nearly every time I'm done turning because they turn on your foot, and they fall apart quick. I've only had them for about a year, and I didn't even dance with them in the summer, and the soles are falling off at the seams and one has a hole by the outside edge at the seam. Overall, even though they are falling apart, they are still useful and get the job done. That's why I still love them. I'd just suggest if you can afford to buy multiple pairs, do so and trade off. They'll last longer.
02/18/09 by Anonymous Great Rating: 5 I bought these last year and mine are still in good enough condition to dance on them. I will buy another pair of them. When you first wear them it hurts your toe but it gets better fast. Make sure to buy the right size of these or they will break.
02/14/09 by Davin from Wyoming Rating: 5 I just got mine yesterday and I wore them to dance and I loved them! They fit me really good, but I would have to fix them after I did a lot of turns. Other than that, they were great!
02/13/09 by Cecily from Maryland Alright. Rating: 3 I got my first pair (Medium Light Suntan). My street size is 6 or 6.5, so according to the chart I should wear a small, but the guy at the store fitted me with a medium (I didn't get these off Discount Dance). Medium fit me pretty well, but the hole for the big toe was a little loose. I can't remember whether it came like that or whether it got stretched out from use. I'm pretty tan, so the light suntan matched my skin pretty well. The pads looked way too dark though, but then again, so would anything. After a while (mostly from dancing on carpet... which you're probably not supposed to do), I ripped out parts of the seams connecting the pads to the mesh. They still stayed on. I had those for about 3 months of one hour a week classes before I got a hole. The whole wasn't in the nylon, but rather I ripped the seam connecting the elastic and the mesh. They were still danceable, but I got a new pair anyway.
I went back to the same store, but a different guy fitted me with a small in nude. I haven't worn these for many classes but they've gotten really dirty already, probably because they're so light. Nude is way too light for my skin tone, but it's not too big of a deal. Also, I should have stuck with medium, because these are way too tight and slip off a lot.
In general, Footundeez are okay. Definitely order up a size, and be prepared to replace them often, especially if you dance a lot. I also think the pads are in an awkward place. The parts that got the most worn were exactly where the pads met... I DID like how thin they were because I like to feel the floor as much as possible. Turning was super easy too.
02/09/09 by Anonymous Rating: 2 Ripped within two weeks. I suggest that instead, you purchase Dance Paws. They last a year.
02/07/09 by Jessica from Florida Good Rating: 4 They work very good, but I've only had them for 3 weeks and one of the pads is starting to fall off. Other than that, they are very good.
02/07/09 by Lauren C. from Chandler,AZ Great product! Rating: 5 I ordered my Footundeez on Tuesday and got them without rush delivery on Friday!
Already out to a great start! I just got on my team's dance squad and they work perfectly! I got the pink polka dot striped and they look ahmazing!
I can't wait to get more! By the way, it is a fabulous price! And totally worth it :D
02/02/09 by Dorcas from Falls Church, VA Also works for Taekwondo! Rating: 5 I am so excited to find this product! I am certainly no dancer but I do study martial arts and was hurting my knees when working out on the mat. I have Renaud's syndrome that causes my feet to perspire a lot and wet feet stick on the mat surface; yuck. The FootUndeez work miraculously.
01/31/09 by Ballerina Yuck Rating: 1 These things make turning SO hard! They also have no cushioning for your ankles, so when you come down from a jump, you can hurt yourself. They fall off your feet even when you have the right size, and even though I wear mine as little as possible, they fall apart. If I could give these things 0 stars, I would!
01/30/09 by Liz Love Them! Rating: 5 My teacher told our class we had to get some for our performance. I fell in love with them right away! Mine lasted for a year and a half! When the leather came off it was in the beginning of the performance so that was no fun, but they did last a while for me and they did so much within that time! I love them, and keep buying them!
01/29/09 by J from Florida Wonderful and diverse Rating: 5 I love these, not only do they make turning easy, but they also come in a color option that doesn't look ridiculous on darker-skinned dancers.
01/26/09 by Laura from Los Angeles, CA Run small Rating: 3 I take a street shoe size of 10-1/2 wide, so I ordered the XL. These ran very small compared to other brands and left deep elastic marks in my feet. Too uncomfortable to wear to see how they lasted on the dance floor.
01/24/09 by Pointegirl Great buy!!! Rating: 5 I have had these for about 5 months. I have an extremely wide foot so I got them in an adult large. They fit perfectly. With absolutely no sliding around. They have just started to tear after 5 months. I wear them 5 hours a week for Lyrical, Jazz, Modern, Technique, and just practicing around the house. When they started to rip I just sewed them and problem solved. LOVE THESE!
01/18/09 by Anonymous Do not recommend Rating: 1 They tear easily, don't stay in place and run small so they cut into your foot, especially the pinkie. Very cheaply made.
01/11/09 by Moderndancer<3 Yay! Rating: 5 My modern teacher suggested these to my whole modern class for a performance and I got them and I like them alot! They are easy to turn in. They slide down a little but overall they're great.
01/05/09 by Anonymous Rating: 2 After only two months of one hour/once a week use, the pads have fallen off and they have to be replaced.
01/03/09 by Cher-Bear from Oregon Trouble staying on my feet Rating: 3 I love how they look, but I just cannot keep them on my feet. I bought them for the wood floor we belly dance on and they just keep slipping off my feet, so I've given up on them and will try to find something that covers more of my foot with a heel strap, possibly.
01/02/09 by Chloe Ok Rating: 3 These work Ok, but the padding doesn't seem to stay on the correct part of the ball of my foot, and the mesh ripped very quickly. If you have wide feet, I recommend getting dance foot paws instead, otherwise these are just fine.
12/27/08 by Jay Rating: 4 Foot Undeez are overall a good product to buy. However, the durability of them are not as good as you may think, and the lining around the toes can leave a mark on the edge. But, I do recommend them to any dancer who is looking to add some style to their wardrobe.
12/09/08 by Anonymous Pretty good Rating: 3 These were great shoes, but not meant to be for more than half a year. I have an 8 size foot, and ordered adult medium. They ripped really easily. If you order them, order ADULT LARGE they do not rip, and will last longer!!!
12/08/08 by Anonymous Rating: 4 Got these when I was first starting lyrical and I love them! Had them for 2 years now and they haven't even started to rip yet! Sometimes though, when I turn, my toes get floor burn because they don't cover those parts of my feet. But otherwise, they're really good shoes and I recommend them to anyone!
12/08/08 by Bubbles from Midlothian Rating: 5 I am a teenage dancer and I absolutely LOVE FootUndeez™! I have, like, 6 pairs, and I wear them in every class except tap. They come in colors too!!!
11/29/08 by Anonymous Rating: 4 I love these!!! I've had mine for about a year and a half. They did rip after about 2 months, but not completely, so I can still use them just fine. Although, I don't use them everyday because they are so hard to find in my dance bag. Overall, great, easy to turn in, not slippery. Definitely worth it!
11/23/08 by Anonymous More cons than pros Rating: 3 These are very convenient because I love the free feeling of my toes when I dance with these. They're also useful because in lyrical, still work well with turns while letting me grip the rest of my foot for balances. However, they're terrible for wide feet, as the pads aren't big enough to accommodate the entire width of my foot, even with a larger size than recommended for my foot size. And footundeez are not very durable - about two weeks after opening a new pair, they started ripping; I only use these 2 hours a week. And they don't stay in one place - as I dance, I can feel the fabric shifting around. This shoe is made for a specific foot type, so if your feet differ from the majority, try another shoe.
11/11/08 by Anonymous I love them Rating: 5 I love them. They're so easy to dance with. I have had mine for a long time and they're still not ripped. I would recommend these for dancing!
11/10/08 by DancerDebz from San Gabriel, CA Not good for narrow feet Rating: 2 I bought the petite size and it will not stay on my feet! After just dancing for 3 mins, they start to ride down and I have to take them off and dance bare foot. I am a size 5 and have pretty narrow feet so if this is you, don't buy this product. I am going to try dance paws next time.
11/09/08 by South Carolina dance company from South Carolina Rating: 2 These looked so cute on line and 2 of my friends have them. But yesterday one of my friend's Footundeez ripped and what I hate about them is that I was at a dance competition yesterday and while I was dancing I could feel them ripping. Then in the middle of the dance it came off my foot because the seam on them ripped. So I had to dance with one on and one off. Thanks to footundeez it was toataly embarrassing. So I'm going to stick with dance foot paws. (They are much more durable.) Footundeez, you need to improve your product because they are so cute and I'm sure everyone wants to buy them but it's really just a rip off!
11/02/08 by Lacee from Bullhead City, AZ Not so good Rating: 2 I bought these and I had to buy a new pair about a week later. My pads started ripping off and I would get holes in the ball of my foot.
10/28/08 by Anonymous Rating: 4 These run small. I'm a size 7 in shoe sizes and I ordered a medium but they are very tight.
10/22/08 by Anonymous Rating: 5 The shoes were OK. They tend to bother the ball of my foot after a lot of turning?! The bottom also began to twist and bunch up.
10/16/08 by Krystle from Indiana Rating: 5 I love these. I've had mine for 2 1/2 years and only today did I get a hole in them. However, I don't do more than four classes so that may be the case. But I would definitely recommend these. They're so comfortable, too.
10/09/08 by nappichique from Los Angeles I like them! Rating: 5 I like them, they are good on a marley floor, very nice. But don't use them on carpet, they will tear.
09/28/08 by Anonymous from Yuma, AZ These are somewhat good... Rating: 4 Well, I got these and they work really nice and protect my feet and help turns a lot. But mine ripped on the FIRST day so I was like, rip off...So they were ok for like the hour that they lasted and they are kind of expensive. I mean 15 dollars for a little piece of non durable fabric...they should be more like 10 dollars. They are better than dancing barefooted but if they rip this fast, might as well not use anything or use my jazz shoes.
09/28/08 by Jordan from New York Don't protect your pinkie! Rating: 2 They are nice, but at rehearsal for 7 hours (first time I wore them) the left one started to rip, and worse, they don't protect my pinkie at all. In a number with a ton of turns, my poor pinkie was getting beat up. so by the end of rehearsal, I had a big chunk of skin taken off my right pinkie toe, and a blister on my left one :(
09/24/08 by Ameilia from Beverly Hills, CA Awesome Rating: 5 These are wonderful! At first I was skeptical as to whether or not they were worth the money, but once you start dancing in them, you really start to like them. I could do fouette turns in them too.
As for the sizing, I'm an 8 and I got a Large because the Mediums were a little too snug, where as the large were snug, but not too tight.
09/19/08 by xoDANCExo Okay Rating: 3 Capezio footundeez work great and make turns easier but... they wear out really easy. I found that I was buying like 3 different pairs. one pair for competitions and 2 others for practice. Even though they wear out, these are still a must have for any dedicated dancer!!!
09/06/08 by Christina Rating: 5 These are very comfortable once you wear them a little bit. At first I thought they weren't going to work out because I wasn't used to having anything between my toes. After wearing them at dance once, I was used to them and love them now.
09/06/08 by Britany from Kansas Rating: 3 They are great except for the fact that they wear out and get holes quickly :( I just wish they were a little more durable.
08/29/08 by Candyglamour from Santa Fe, NM Awesome! Rating: 5 These are really awesome. They keep my feet from sticking to the floor when trying to turn - while still giving me control over the movement! I highly recommend Footundeez.
08/28/08 by Cassandra I liked them. Rating: 3 I really liked these a lot and they were so comfortable to dance in but unfortunately they ripped pretty quickly; they are kind of expensive for the little material you get so I sadly won't be replacing them. I liked them the three weeks they lasted though.
08/26/08 by Vanessa from Texas A little tight... Rating: 4 They look good and are great for dancing. Especially when you don't exactly feel like wearing shoes. There is only one minor problem: I use a 7 1/2 in shoe, and I actually have a narrow foot, they are just a little tight. I ordered the medium, they make my toes look like little sausages... If you like them loose, order a size up from what the size chart says. But I think it's good because they don't move around or slide off when I'm dancing. I would recommend these to everyone! BUY THEM!
08/21/08 by Ellie Rating: 4 Get a few sizes bigger than what the size chart says. I couldn't even get mine on my feet! I ordered a petite size, because my regular shoe size is a 4 1/2, but I'm going to exchange them for a medium or large, because that's what my friend has.
08/19/08 by Balletdoll from Alabama Rating: 4 I got these for a recital, but prior to that I used them for a drama at my church that I danced in. That said, these rip easily when you're dancing on carpet, but those aren't ideal dancing conditions anyway. On stage though, they turn well. But if you have long toes, practice in them a good bit first. My pinky toe dragged on the ground my first turn, which hurt, but after that it was fine. I wear about a seven in street shoes, with kind of narrow feet, and the medium fit perfectly. They work well for $14.
08/18/08 by Casey from Texas Tore CRAZY fast. Rating: 2 I thought these were the most adorable little things in the world, so I bought a pair...I used them during a camp (which had 9 hour days) and they ripped to shreds by the end of the week. And whenever they were usable, they rubbed between my toes a lot.
08/16/08 by Rachel from California Great! Rating: 5 I love these shoes! I had gone to a 4 week ballet intensive (Maple Conservatory of Dance)and we took ballet, pointe, modern, character jazz and other things. But I don't normally take Modern so I got what I thought was the best. Only I got it too big! I got XL but my reg shoe size is only 9! I should have gotten a smaller size but other than that, they are awesome shoes!
08/16/08 by Danca Rating: 4 I got these a while ago and the mesh wears out VERY FAST. You also want to get a little smaller size so that they stay on your feet when you do turns.
08/13/08 by Anonymous Wonderful! Rating: 5 FootUndeez are too good to be true. They last for a long time. I've had just one pair for a year. I can still use them. But they do stretch out a little. I never loose my circulation in these. Never have they fallen off before. They are also wonderful to turn in. They don't even rip, except that at the bottom, the strings come off a little. And if you have them for a long time, the bottom starts pealing off. Other than that, they are perfect. I totally recommend these. They don't burn your toes like other lyrical shoes. I prefer these anytime, anywhere, and any case!
08/12/08 by Smiley Dance These rock! Rating: 5 I love my FootUndeez! I haven't used them that much yet because my "true" Modern classes haven't started yet, but I've used them during four Modern classes and they worked great. I can't wait to use them more!
08/10/08 by Morgan from New York These are great Rating: 5 For my dance school, we have to wear these for lyrical, and I LOVE them. They're so comfy and the designs are really pretty. The only problem with these is that sometimes they're hard to turn in. But overall, I would recommend buying these... you won't regret it!!!
08/08/08 by Sticky Feet Amazing Product! Rating: 5 When I first started modern, I realized, I could never turn without killing my feet and hearing a loud sound coming from my feet. I begged my mom to order these, and they're perfect! My dance teachers even let me wear them at the recital, because people can barely see them! I really recommend getting these if you're having trouble with turns in bare feet!
08/06/08 by Angelina from California Rating: 1 I dance 3 times a week and these lasted me a month, if that. I am searching for something else. I am fairly certain that the design could be translated into more durable materials. I don't really want to purchase disposable shoes.
07/22/08 by Erin from Fort Wayne, IN Rating: 5 I wrote a review about these before in April, but I have changed my rating on these now. I absolutely love them. They are so comfortable. When I do pirouettes though, it's sometimes hard to turn in them. I sometimes just wear one on the foot I turn on the most. It works for me and some of my friends I dance with. I love these and mine haven't ripped yet and I have had mine for 1 year.
07/19/08 by Keely Great! Rating: 4 These are great for lyrical dancing! I love them to death! The only problem was they were a little small when I first put them on but the first day you dance in them, they stretch and feel better. I recommend these for anyone dancing lyrical.
07/04/08 by Mendy from Utah Loved them at first now.... Rating: 3 I loved them until the other day I put them on and they both had big holes in them. They rip so easily and I have only had them for like two months. So they are great but I am disappointed with how fast they ripped.
06/26/08 by Anonymous Rating: 2 I have them in nude and they work great if I have them on for a short amount of time. They burn my feet and stretched out. I don't have a problem with them ripping though.
06/23/08 by Anonymous Good Rating: 4 These shoes are the best of their genre. Are they the greatest shoe? No, but what they have going for them is good. I keep trying different ones but always end back to these. They wear out easy (way easy) but hey, that's the life of a serious dancer, get used to shoes wearing out fast.
06/17/08 by Asami from California Nice Rating: 4 These aren't bad. I bought a large because I heard they ran a little tight and I have REALLY wide feet. After one use, I realized that I need a medium because they keep inching up. Other than that, they are nice. Great for turns, decent for leaps.
06/09/08 by Sharon from Georgia Update Rating: 4 Just was at dress rehearsal. Ballet folks had paws and modern had undeez. Modern folk, undeez wearers, win. Paws users were constantly shifting their shoes and missing turns; undeez were secure with their footwear.
06/05/08 by Mor Rating: 3 I have been using footundeez for like the past 3 years now. I have most likely bought 7 pairs because they rip so easily. They are wonderful to turn in!
06/03/08 by Christina Pretty Great. Rating: 5 I got these from my local Capezio store and they've been working great for me. I do all types of dance, from ballet to hip hop to belly dance, and these are so versatile, I can use them in anything. I read the reviews before I bought them and a lot of people said they tear easily, so I treated them with hairspray before I wore them, just on the elastic, not the pads or the band. It worked for me and I've had them for about 4 months now with no tears. Great product!
06/01/08 by Jordash Rating: 3 My dance teacher recommended FootUndeez to me warning that they wear out quick, and she was right! I wore mine out in only 4 months. They became really gross and kept slipping off my feet. I would recommend getting the printed FootUndeez, they last way longer, are more comfy, and are cuter!
05/27/08 by Sharon from Georgia 2 different feet, same result Rating: 3 My daughter has a narrow foot, my son wide. Based on all of the reviews, I ordered exact size for my daughter and one size up for my son. Hers were way too tight(her little toe almost turned purple). His fit like a glove. Definitely order at least one size larger.
05/25/08 by Yungdanca Well.... Rating: 4 It's stupid of me, but I keep coming back to these shoes. I heart the look, but I buy three pairs at once because of the fact that they rip so easily!!! And, they move to the side of my foot, so the pad that's supposed to be on the ball of my foot is now on the side, hence the fact that they rip even easier. Ahhhh!!!
05/18/08 by Gonnadance4ever from L.A., California Rating: 3 These shoes are super comfortable! The only problems I had were they were difficult for me to turn in (they kept sticking to the dance floors). And I always turn barefoot so it was pretty weird at first. And secondly, they ripped after one week. Maybe stronger material? Still super comfy though, and make everything but turns fine for me.
05/10/08 by Ceres from Florida Average Rating: 3 Generally speaking, if you are more serious about having a long lasting durable "shoe" Dance Paws, FootUndeez, but if you need something for a performace or minimal rehersal time FootUndeez is sufficient. Even so...for performances I would recommend the Dance Paws rather than these because they are less noticable and the FootUndeez actually have a bit of a "shine" to them (unless you use foundation to matte it down).
04/27/08 by Anonymous Rating: 4 These were OK. I had to get them for a performance. They worked well. But the pad at the bottom is tearing off. I haven't had these for 3 months. I suggest get a pair for performances and a another for class. Also, get them a size up--they run super small.
04/13/08 by Lyds from Santa Fe, NM Rating: 5 I love my footundeez. I use them for everything. Being a general barefoot sort, I tend to rip up the balls of my feet. They're great inside shoes, after a day of dancing just to let your skin heal. Also, (less bulky inside shoes/sandals than dance paws).
03/23/08 by Taydance101 Rating: 3 I had to get these for competition. They are extremely comfortable but they got holes in them. I am now buying my third pair since October because my teacher likes the look of these and still wants us to have them for competition.
03/21/08 by Bama dancer The Best Rating: 5 I think these are the best. The dance paws are not good for the price and the thongs are so hard to get on when you're running backstage to change quickly. They don't rip. I've had them almost all season, but for the people who said they come off your feet, just go a size down. Let them be a little tight so they stretch for a perfect fit. There have been no runs in them and if you notice a small one, clear fingernail polish. Five Stars all the way for price and durability!!!
03/18/08 by Diana Rating: 2 Even though these are very comfortable, mine started to rip about 3 weeks after using them. One pad fell completely off of mine! Not good if you are doing intense amounts of dancing!
03/03/08 by Jordash from Sumner, WA Rating: 4 FootUndeez are comfy and fun to dance in. I have had my pair for 6 months and they are just starting to get gross. The only thing that bugs me about these is that they ride up slightly when you dance. Overall though, they are pretty nice.
03/03/08 by Jasmine Rating: 2 These rip sooo easily! I was in the middle of practice and the stitching came out. They are extremely comfortable though.
02/22/08 by Tory from Nacogdoches, Texas Rating: 2 I own a pair of these FootUndeez and I love them. But I would dance for three hours in them and they already got a hole in them.
02/17/08 by BDC Danceteacher from Rincon, GA Rating: 3 If you are a serious dancer, don't buy these. They tear up so easily and I don't even do that much stuff to cause them to tear up. They got huge holes in them by the second week. Don't get them! It is A WASTE OF MONEY!
02/15/08 by Tapgirl Not For Active Dancers Rating: 3 I love FootUndeez, but they really don't last that long. Sure, they are really comfortable, but after a year of wear (dancing 2 times per week) they ripped and tore a hole. Someone in my group only got half a year in! If you don't dance a ton and have wider feet, these are for you. Otherwise, go with DancePaws.
02/12/08 by Coppelia Rating: 5 Very comfy, but beware, very narrow! Order a size up!
02/08/08 by Makenzie from Washington Love em Rating: 4 I love how perfect they fit my feet. I recommend them to all of my friends, and dancers. They are so cheap, and even reliable. They work better on thinner feet though... wider feet seem to BUST out of them as I have seen on 2 or 3 of my friends. I love these shoes. Buy them!
01/20/08 by Yung danca from Lancaster, CA Cute but cheaply made Rating: 4 These are cute but are cheaply made. They rip if you are an advanced turner doing, say five to six turns. Side extensions are horrible because the sides of these rip out when you turn your heel forward. If you're not into the whole modern feel, don't buy these 'cause you will have to buy at least three or four pairs a dance year!
12/30/07 by Jane from Arizona Poor Quality Rating: 1 I did not like this product because they fell apart after 5 days of dancing! The fit was good but other than that, I do not recommend this product.
11/17/07 by Anonymous HORRIBLE! Rating: 1 They slip off your feet during pirouettes and they are slippery and your toes stick to the ground when you wear them.
11/12/07 by Diana from Arcadia Worth its price Rating: 3 I started wearing these because of my dance company and it's not as terrible as the reviews have stated. It's affordable and worth its price. Get a size up so it won't rip as easily and it's pretty comfortable to the point you don't realize you are wearing them (sometimes). Overall, worth the 15 bucks but not a WOW, I must get 5 pairs of these.
11/01/07 by Anonymous from Maryland Good! Rating: 4 I really like these but they fall apart kinda fast, but that's OK. They're so cheap, you can buy a few per year. I wear them for modern and lyrical. The sizing chart is correct for this item. I wear a 10 wide so I decided to get a size bigger (an XL). That was a mistake. They stretch out a lot so I am gonna buy them in a large next time. Another con of this is if you don't point your feet, it looks horrendous on stage! But overall, they are a good item.
10/31/07 by Dancinqt Rating: 4 I love these. I wear them in three of my classes, my solo, and when I practice. They form to your feet so well and offer just the right amount of protection. However, they fall apart so fast. My "new" ones lasted a month and a half before the sole ripped half way off. But they are so cheap that I'll just buy a lot at once.
10/18/07 by Melinda from Kingston, ON Wouldn't Recommend Rating: 2 I usually wear Bloch Foot Thong 3s but I thought I would give these a try. How stupid I was to buy them! As previously mentioned, they twist on your feet, which becomes extremely irritating because I'm always trying to adjust them. They haven't been damaged yet because I've only danced in them for one class(1.5 hrs) but my fellow dancers have complained about them ripping too quickly. The only thing I liked about them was that they're much easier to put on than Foot Thong 3s. I don't think I'll buy them again.
10/17/07 by Chrissy from Louisville, KY Rating: 4 These footundeez are great. They are made well and up stand to great wear and tear.
10/12/07 by Jenn G from Quarryville PA FALLS APART! Rating: 2 I wore these two times and they started falling apart! The stitching is not up to par. Unfortunately, they are comfortable and the price would be reasonable if they would last through more than 2 classes! Very disappointed :(
10/11/07 by Cait Rating: 5 I got my pair of nude footundeez when they first started to come out with them, and I STILL have them... not one hole in them either. For some reason they just won't rip on me, which I'm happy about! The size chart says that I would be a small, but I got mine in a store so I was able to try them on, and I actually needed a medium. So they might run a bit smaller. Their patterned footundeez match the chart better. Look into those too.
10/04/07 by Anonymous from Arizona Sizing chart is poor Rating: 2 The sizing chart is very poor. I ordered a size larger than what was recommended and the shoe was still too tight for my daughter to wear.
10/03/07 by Kairi Luv 'em! Rating: 5 I luv these! This is my first year in lyrical and they help me do turns a lot better than with bare feet alone! Five stars *****
09/12/07 by Dancin' diva from Colorado Um, supposed to be tight! Rating: 5 i love these, SSOOOOOOOOO much. everyone's saying how They're tight, but what you don't realize is that they're supposed to be tight! I got my first pair last August. I got a medium and I wore about a 7 and they liked to slip off, but now I wear a size 8 and got another pair of mediums, and they're just a little tight, But they stay on MUCH better, so they're SUPPOSED to be tight! Get over it!
09/03/07 by Anonymous from California Way Better Than Any Other Options Rating: 5 I don't like dancing barefoot and I hate dancing in shoes and socks are too slippery, so these are just perfect. When I first started wearing them, I got blisters on my big toe which eventually turned into calluses. I love them and can even do a triple pirouette in them now. At first they seemed really tight on my feet but now they feel great!
09/02/07 by Anonymous Rating: 2 They tear way too easily and wiggle/twist off your feet when you actually dance in them (turning, especially) as opposed to just standing around in them.
Also, they run WAAAAY too small and hardly covered any of the ball of my foot.
Dance Paws are so much better! But, I guess it depends on each individual, since no two feet are alike.
08/19/07 by De from Pittsburgh, PA Hard to turn in Rating: 3 Although I think these look way cuter than the other half sole shoe we used to wear for lyrical, they are hard to turn in unless you are way up on your toes and sometimes they start to slide off your feet.
08/14/07 by Renee Almost Perfect Rating: 4 These shoes are so comfortable to dance in that I forget I am wearing shoes. They are easy to slip on and it is cute that they do look a little bit like underwear. My feet can breathe in them a lot better than my other shoes. FootUndeez work very well, and I ordered the suggested size and they fit fine. The only thing was that after wearing them only a couple of hours, I found a place where the stitching had come undone. On occasion I find a spot where a hole will begin to form but clear nail polish fixed it. They aren't as durable as I expected but it's not going to last forever. They also get dirty easily, but you will get that from any shoe. For the price & quality I would definitely buy this shoe again.
08/13/07 by Mackenzie LFDS Dancer from Utah These are the best!!! Rating: 5 I got these for competition. I dance three days a week on them, an hour and a half each day. I got them a year ago and they just barely ripped. We did great. I'm buying these again and the printed ones so I can have more practice without getting my competition ones dirty. I tried on my friend's Foot Thong and I hate things in between my toes, but these are just like wearing flip flops which I wear a lot. Thanx Capezio for inventing these. They are GREAT!
08/09/07 by Kat Rating: 4 I love these shoes. The only bummer is that they don't last too long before they get holes in them.
08/02/07 by Dancer from Utah I HATE these! Rating: 1 FootUndeez are not what you want to buy. They are very uncomfortable and mine fell apart after just a few short practices. They are so slippery you might as well wear socks.
07/12/07 by Morgan I hate these. Rating: 1 I bought these because the rest of my dance team had them for lyrical and modern performances.
They twist around my feet, the sole is in the wrong spot, the elastic is too tight, but the fabric near my toes is too loose.
We dance on a sticky gym floor and the school-grade berber carpet in our dance room, and my toes get stuck.
I think these are only good for an extremely calloused dancer. However, they rip so easily, why even buy them? I've only used mine three times for two hours each time, and they're already ripped.
06/26/07 by Felicia from Newark, NJ Great! Rating: 4 I love these. I prefer to dance in these than barefoot. Mine are a little tight though. I'm a 7.5 and got a medium. But besides that, I love 'em.
06/25/07 by Leila Funny and good Rating: 5 I barely do any modern, just for my summer intensive and maybe one dance for our spring show, but these have worked great for me. They fit well and look very funny in a good way. They really look like underwear! My only complaint is that after a year of my minimal modern schedule, the suede has started to come off a little. But they are only $15, so it's not a bad thing 'cause they are easy to pay for. Otherwise, Good job, Capezio!
06/17/07 by Kathryn from Indiana Rating: 4 FootUndeez are easy to put on, durable, inexpensive, and they make you look naturally barefoot. Highly recommended by a dancer for all dancers!
06/13/07 by Bailey from Idaho So so Rating: 4 Everyone at my studio has these and they seem to rip at the seems VERY easily. I am a 3 times a week, 5 hours a day dancer, but these should be able to stand the wear and tear. They're cheap but you have to replace almost every month ... Not recommended for competition ... too risky. But I got foot thongs and they are perfect. They haven't ripped yet and I got them in September of last year!!!
if you aren't a dancer that dances 24\7 like me.... then i would recommend these
06/10/07 by Danceaholic from Colorado Da bomb Rating: 5 OK, so I've just read the review list and I say that you are all wrong. In my lyrical class, all four of us have them and all of us are still on our first pair that we got in August, and it's mid June! I'm the only one that has rips in mine but it's probably because I have the highest releve and the widest foot. They also take about 4 classes to get used to them but now I don't even notice they're there! They are also great to wear under any shoes if you have a high arch and struggle for comfort. I wore them all day under tennis shoes at the museum and my feet didn't hurt at all! Although, they are starting to smell and are turning black. But hey, it's only $13 to replace them every year or so. If you like the freedom of dancing barefoot but not the burn of turning barefoot, I DEFINETLY recommend FootUndeez.
06/03/07 by Theresa from New Jersey Rating: 5 Mine didn't rip! I've had them for four months, dancing modern once a week, and they're fine. They help with turns and leaps. Mine are a little tight, though. I'm a size 7 and got an adult small. Besides that, they're fine!
05/30/07 by Natasha Gotta have Them!!! Rating: 5 I absolutely love these! You can grip the floor so much better and get much higher on your leaps and jumps. It is like dancing barefoot except it is much easier to turn. These were a great buy! I love them!!!
05/19/07 by Jump97 from California Amazing! Rating: 5 I LOVE these shoes! They are the best. I would really suggest you buy these shoes two sizes larger because I would normally be a small, but I really was a large. These shoes are da' bomb!
05/18/07 by tarynitapart Rating: 4 I love these shoes. I use them in class sometimes and when I do lyrical stuff. The only thing though, is that I go through shoes like I go through food, so I have to replace mine quite often, because they rip around the soles. Other than that, they are really nice to have. They make turning very easy. Good buy!
05/15/07 by Anonymous LOVE THEM! Rating: 5 I got this for Christmas and they never ripped or wore away or anything. I love them! Totally a must!
05/13/07 by SupKate? from Florida I like Rating: 4 Really nice. I bought these about a week ago, and they are great. Beware though, I bought light suntan (because I'm used to suntan being the color of tights) so I thought that light suntan would be the color in the picture, it's not. Suntans are much darker, but that was a mistake on my part. There is also a lot less friction than I'm used to while dancing in these. Maybe they will toughen up after a little more dancing.
05/13/07 by Julz from California Rating: 5 These shoes are very comfy and I love to wear them to all my classes. I HIGHLY suggest them.
05/11/07 by Kelsey from Kent, WA Don't waste your money Rating: 5 Maybe if you are a not-so- trained dancer, and don't require much hard core dancing in these, buy them. Otherwise, they are a waste of your money. They literally FALL APART within a few time's use. I would recommend "dance paws" over these any day. They are much more expensive, but they last a longggg time.
05/11/07 by Dance obsessed#18 from Washington Buy it ! Rating: 4 I love these shoes! It's like dancing barefoot, but a lot easier :) I have had these for about 8 months and they just started to rip, but the bottom pads did start to rip off earlier, but the reinforcement stitching helped! I wear these all the time during ballet and lyrical! I do encourage you to buy them, but buy an extra pair for shows; they do get very dirty :)
05/09/07 by Amanda from Indiana VERY nice Rating: 5 I love dancing in these! I totally recommend them!!!
05/06/07 by Elizabeth from California Rating: 3 I had to buy these for my lyrical dance this summer, and I thought they were really cool. I tried them out for one class, doing my dance, and they got really dirty and have a tiny rip in them and the bottom cushions were falling off. I might have to buy new ones and not use them until the performance. I might have to see how they hold up.
04/21/07 by Brooke from Pennsylvania Great, and here's why... Rating: 5 So I have had these since I was 11. At that age, it was difficult to turn, but we all managed to get used to them and love them. First of all, it was really cool to show them off to all our other dance friends, because only a few teams had them. When your feet are sticky, not necessarily sweaty, turning becomes difficult. You have to build up your calluses if you want to do well in these. If you have danced in full shoes for your entire dance career, don't expect to be a natural on these the first try, but you will definitely worship them later on. I have refused pedicures ever since, and my soft baby skin has turned to rough, thick durable skin at the age of thirteen. Hooray. But honestly, this is a good thing. I HIGHLY recommend these. I wear them to the classes I assist, because sadly, none of my dances this year requires them. You probably just want to know if they are something you should get or not get and this is what I want you to consider:
1. If you are wearing other shoes all the time (pedinis to your Tuesday classes, ballet shoes on Wednesday, etc.) Don't get them because seriously, when will you wear them to dance? I have heard some junk from the marketers about wearing them in your street shoe, well just don't do that. If you have a solo or you assist, get them.
2. They do get destructed. My mom bought me 2 pairs for practice and a pair for performances, so they would be clean and nice. Just make sure you dance in your performance ones occasionally, this way they do mold to your feet and whatnot.
04/18/07 by Michelle from Michigan Nice but only good for short time. Rating: 4 I love these shoes. I wear them for all my jazz, lyrical, modern, and acro dances. The only problem is, after a while, they stretch out. I was on dance team and wore them every day for 3 hour practices, for about two months, plus 7 hours of classes, and needed to buy a new pair. But for the cost, they are very good shoes.
04/14/07 by Erin from Fort Wayne IN Rating: 4 I wear these all the time! I love them. But sometimes they get nasty and I can't wash them.
04/04/07 by Tammy from Latrobe PA Very comfortable Rating: 5 They are very comfortable and stay on my feet.
03/29/07 by Ana from Lethbridge Alberta Rippey Rating: 2 They ripped after I wore them once! Then the lady at the store told me that was because they were too small. So I went up a size and then they twisted on my feet when I turned, and still ripped after about a month.
03/22/07 by Victoria G from New York The best!!! Rating: 5 I went to my dance shop and bought them, and in two months, they ripped. Then, I went somewhere else and the lady said they ripped because they were too small. The size I had was a M and I got an XL and they do not rip if you have the right size. I love these shoes!!!
03/17/07 by Sam from Seattle, WA Totally Amazing Rating: 5 These things are amazing. I dance in college, so I really can't be messing with my shoes or worrying about my feet when I'm turning. I use them for warm up in ballet, in modern and jazz. They make your feet look great and pointy because you can see all your muscles and the arch. I wouldn't recommend these for super- sticky marley floors, but they are totally worth it, and last a long time.
02/20/07 by Anonymous Rating: 5 These worked great for me. I didn't wear them for long periods of time though. We used them in the "Arabian" dance in our nutcracker. They worked wonderfully! You couldn't see them at all from the audience. You feel like you're dancing barefoot, but you can slide into the splits without hurting your foot. I agree with the other reviews though; they probably aren't great if you're strictly a modern dancer- they probably would wear out quickly, but if you just need them for something short like this, they're awesome! They're hilarious too- they do look like underewear!
02/13/07 by Michael from California Rating: 1 These shoes are very crummy. They obviously cannot stand up to the standards of an real professional modern dancer. I am talking real modern people, leaps, turns, etc. . . . After buying these and using them for the first time, within 1 hr 45 mins, the pads were ripping off, the sides were ripped, everything was ripping. Don't buy these, it's not worth it. I am going to try the dance paws.
02/06/07 by Kathleen from Florida Really good! Rating: 5 I really don't understand what is wrong with these...? I think that they are awesome for modern shoes and I don't have a problem with them at all. Five stars.
02/04/07 by Annie from New York Eh, they're okay Rating: 3 I do like these wayyyyy better than the Dance Paws, but I had mine for like 2 months and they already ripped. I have 2 huge holes in each of them. Other than that, I love these =]
02/02/07 by Brit from Oregon Rating: 4 FootUndeez are great for jumps. They really do make you go higher. I do however recommend that you get them in a bigger size than the chart says. Mine are just about too small, but they are a good price for what they are so it is no trouble to get new ones. They do rip easily, so if you are planning on dancing in them for long periods of time, I suggest that you get a different product.
01/21/07 by Marissa from Arizona Rating: 4 They help you turn well but rip too easily....
01/17/07 by Jamie from Idaho Rating: 3 Although a good idea and price, mine ripped after one day of dancing. Also, when I turned, the pads ended up twisted almost to the top of my foot. They are great if you are not doing a lot of turns.
01/06/07 by Kaitlyn from Washington O.K Rating: 3 It's a good product and is good for lyrical and modern unless you have to do a knee drop or anything that involves going over on your toes (it hurts really bad). And one time before a performance, I was practicing and the pad came half way off (4th time wear). If this happens before a performance, you can superglue it back on. They aren't very durable so I tried Dancepaws instead.
01/01/07 by CiCi from Oregon Hmmm... Rating: 3 I personally do not like FootUndeez. While they are comfortable, I could still not get used to dancing modern with "shoes" on. I went a size up, so they're just barely too big for me. It makes them move up my feet, so I have to adjust them after every combination. These would be good for people with sensitive feet, but they are not right for me. I prefer having the barefoot feel while I dance.
12/31/06 by Christie from Miami. FL Rating: 4 Order depending on the width of the front of your feet, not by shoe size, because they run small! Other than that, they look really nice and protect the soles well.
12/06/06 by Dance Diva UGGGHHH and AWWW Rating: 3 They twist around, yet for me, they didn't start to tear until 3 months, then again I have a highly arched foot. They are comfy and I like that they come in different colors to match your skin color.
12/01/06 by Anonymous Rating: 2 They can look cute under other shoes, but when I actually used them, they started to tear after about an hour of class, and twist around. The "padding" didn't exactly cover the right parts of my feet, so turning was hindered and it was hard to do multiple turns. I'd try the dance paws, instead.
11/30/06 by Karebear LOVE THEM Rating: 5 I just received my Foot Undeez two days ago and I LOVE THEM! They are extremely comfortable and I love wearing them with other shoes over them. I did have to order mine a size larger than my actual shoe size because I almost got purple toes trying on a friend's pair. They are awesome and I LOVE THEM SO MUCH!!!
11/22/06 by Kate Not Durable Rating: 3 I wore these shoes twice a week for an hour and they ripped after three weeks.
They would be good shoes if they did not rip, I did feel like I was dancing barefoot.
11/22/06 by Melissa from New York Rating: 4 I got the FootUndeez about a month ago and they are very cute and comfortable. The things I don't like about them are that they ripped way too easily and they slide a little when you do turns. Other than that, I like them!
11/21/06 by Dancer2b Great Rating: 5 These are awesome. Definitely order a size larger. I am so glad I did.
11/04/06 by Heather Rating: 5 MAKE SURE YOU GET A SIZE BIGGER THAN YOU THINK YOU NEED! I learned this the hard way, and although they felt like they fit, they really didn't because they ripped after the second class!
11/04/06 by Robin from Palm Springs, CA Amazing Rating: 5 I bought these about a year ago when I went on pointe. These really help lift you in leaps, though obviously don't protect your arch. They started fraying and the elastic got too stretched out.. but that was after a year and a half! I highly recommend these if you are looking for lift.
11/01/06 by Sav from Oklahoma city Great for leaps Rating: 4 These are amazing shoes for leaps, to work on pushing off the floor. They are difficult to turn in (esp. fouettes) but once you put on your normal jazz shoes again and turn in them, your turns will be much stronger because of the strength that you use to get around in the FootUndeez. Great for class and strengthening. I still prefer jazz boots for performance =]
10/29/06 by Lauren Rating: 4 I read many reviews on here prior to ordering these shoes, and although some of the reviews sounded like horror stories, I ordered them regardless. First of all, as many have already said, the shoes do run extremely small. To give one an idea, I take a street size 9 shoe and I have slender feet, but a size XL in the FootUndeez shoe fits me comfortably. I'm fairly satisfied with these shoes and like them much better than several other kinds, which simply cover the ball of the foot and only have elastics to hold the shoes on between the toes. I find that FootUndeez resist falling off much more than other brands. I agree with others that the toe pads are positioned slightly off with regards to the foot. Personally, this has a negative effect on my turns, but then again this might depend on your personal fit with the shoe. Overall, I feel these shoes are fairly durable and sufficient for the price.
10/24/06 by Lauren from Texas Not bad... Rating: 3 These are just okay...I really liked them at first, but after about four classes, the stitching started to come out. Also, they tend to slip in pirouettes and leave the ball of the foot slightly uncovered, which can be a bit painful.
10/16/06 by Ms. Kim Ballet_teacher from Salt Lake City, UT Love them ! Rating: 5 I used to wear Bloch thongs and I like these better. I will warn you that, you need to go up 1 to 2 sizes in order to get the right fit. Other than that, they are wonderful and comfortable!
10/16/06 by Laura from Oklahoma Rating: 5 I really liked these because I have a broken toe that I now can't bend (accident during dance practice) and I don't like to squeeze it into the little hole like on the dance paws. The sole of it is a little far back which makes them slightly hard to turn on. I haven't had any trouble with rips or tears though. They are definitely different and I always get compliments on them. I also like the fact that I can wear them under my flip-flops!!!
10/11/06 by Vickii from New Jersey Love them Rating: 4 I did a solo in these shoes and I started a craze for these shoes at my studio. They are wonderful! I find that I have more control of my dance when wearing these. Better than dance paws. However, due to a slight rip in the pad, I fell and sprained my ankle, so if you do get a rip in the pad, they do throw them out. I only used them for an hour at a time or so, and they lasted at least 6 months, but now I use them more often, so I use three pairs and alternate each week.
10/08/06 by Nicole from Huntington beach Rating: 4 Although they are incredibly comfortable, light, and it looks like you're barefoot on stage. They rip easily. And I have to flex my foot when I am turning.
10/08/06 by Sam from Canada DISAPPOINTING for CAPEZIO Rating: 5 I must say that I usually am a Capezio fan. However, these undeez leave much to be desired! After wearing the too-tight shoes, the pads only lasted for a couple of weeks before the stitching unravelled.
10/06/06 by Anonymous Rating: 3 I wouldn't suggest buying these shoes if you dance more than a couple days a week.... I went through like 10 pairs just last season. They're great shoes but don't last long at all. If you're wearing them at a competition, I'd bring at least 2 pair; I'd go through a pair or two every competition.
10/05/06 by Heather from Georgia Great but... Rating: 4 These shoes are great for modern and are so cute because they look like little underwear for your feet! But after wearing them three times they ripped - not the seam, the mesh! So I had to sew it back together.
Also, I suggest getting a size larger than you usually need, because they fit tightly and will rip if they are too tight.
10/03/06 by Anonymous Good shoe Rating: 4 I like these shoes because they hug my feet and don't slip too much. I suggest if you are between two sizes in the fitting guide to get the bigger one.
09/14/06 by Meg Rating: 4 My friend has a pair and I tried them once. They work great, and fit me a lot better than Dance Paws. The only problem was that the stitching around the pads came undone after just a couple months.
09/07/06 by Melody from Las Vegas, NV Pretty good Rating: 4 I had mine fitted at a Capezio store, so I didn't have any fitting issues. I like the way they don't cover much of my foot. I thought they were ugly when I first saw them, but the underwear look isn't as obvious as I thought it would be.
09/05/06 by Anonymous Rating: 2 They don't last very long at all. I had my second pair for 3 weeks before the stitching started to come off on the pads. But besides that they're pretty good.
09/04/06 by Rebecca from Georgia GREAT doesn't cover whole turning area Rating: 4 I love these because they are very easy to handle and take to shows. Hard to turn because it does not cover the whole turning area of your foot. These are absolutely worth the $13.00. P.S. They are so cute because they really do look like little underwear.
08/22/06 by Victoria from Decatur, GA Cute but not practical Rating: 2 The FootUndeez did not stay in place on my feet and when I turned, they began to bunch up and actually came off in the middle of a lyrical dance. I'll try the Capezio brand, they look a little sturdier and cover more of the foot!
08/17/06 by Libby from Boulder Quick to wear Rating: 3 They do make for a quick change off of stage... but they wear sooo quickly. I was rather surprised my soles came off rather fast... a little disappointed... but I love the look of the little boys underwear... it's cute. All in all, they are worth the $13.00.
08/15/06 by Misa W. from Miami, FL Perfect! Rating: 5 I love these shoes! I wear them often; however, I don't go through these shoes as quickly as stated in previous comments. They're great for turning, because they're snug to your feet, leaving nothing for you to get trapped on the floor, like loose fabrics. This also is great for QUICK changes! No other stringy nonsense to deal with! In the dark backstage wings, these are the ones to work with! They are also incredibly comfortable to work with. Sometimes, so I don't lose them from rehearsal to rehearsal, I keep them on my feet and wear flip flops on top. They go right under flip flops perfectly!
08/11/06 by Renny Great for Shows Rating: 3 I got FootUndeez last year for a Fall show. I love them because they are easy to put on when you have a fast change. I do have to admit they wear out relatively quickly. They are Great for performing and you can't see them on stage, but they do run small.
08/05/06 by Release Dance Academy dancer from Morrisville, PA Rating: 5 When I first saw FootUndeez, I immediately fell in love with them. Everyone in my studio was wearing them. Over time though, we were realizing they were wearing down and ripping easily. The cheap price balances it out and we still are in love with them.
08/02/06 by Shelly from Texas Terrible Shape Rating: 1 I am sorry but these extremely hurt my feet and I do not recommend these for dancers who will wear them for long periods of time. These were extremely painful to me even though I have small feet and bought a bigger size. Thank you for your other wonderful products.
07/30/06 by Unimpressed from Utah from Utah Not Recommended Rating: 1 I don't want to sound harsh but I really do not like these. They are very hard to turn on. They do look nice on stage though. They also run VERY small. They are very, very tight. Terrible for turning.
07/24/06 by Anonymous Rating: 5 These are perfect. Even though they rip easily, the price is right so I don't mind just buying another pair.
07/20/06 by ballet junkie from Minnesota Rating: 5 I love FootUndeez! I wore them for a lyrical dance last year and they were perfect! They DO last a long time if you're willing to use some clear nail polish or hairspray on places that are prone to ripping. That worked for me!
07/20/06 by Jocelyn from Almont, MI Rating: 4 I think these shoes are great but do have some errors about them. For example, yes they do run smaller than what the chart says and I agree that they do start ripping quite early and that the soles aren't close enough to your toes, so when you are spinning, you aren't spinning on the sole. But anyway, I do love these shoes, in fact I'm making my whole team buy them for our season this year!
07/17/06 by Anonymous Rating: 1 Run small. Cut off circulation; my foot turned cold and half of it was white while the other half was purple. I suggest people with wide feet either not buy these or get an XXL.
07/16/06 by Miss J Rating: 5 In a dancer's point of view, this is the perfect thing for your turns & etc. I know that it does hurt if you are turning barefooted. This product is something that is worth the price.
07/16/06 by LKB from Phoenix, AZ Quality is poor, sizing misleading Rating: 2 I purchased these for my daughter for a week long intensive. They were a bit small even though I bought the size the guide said and she only wore them for 3 days (about 18 hours of dancing) before they ripped. She really liked them so I will buy more, but I would pay a little more for longevity.
07/14/06 by Andi Amazing Rating: 5 I luv these!!! They actually work and you can dance without knowing they are there!!!
07/08/06 by Milenie from Puyallup, WA Rating: 4 I really like these great shoes by Capezio! (they never disappoint me) They are as snug as Dance Paws, but they are shorter so, they are less noticeable on stage. The only thing I would fix about them is that the sole on the bottom isn't as close to the toes as Dance Paws are, so if you're up on the full ball of your foot, you're off of the sole. Other than that, LOVE 'UM!
07/05/06 by Mallory from Mt. P Awesome Rating: 5 I LOVE THESE! They're soo inexpensive and last awhile. They're good quality for the price. I love em! [=
07/04/06 by Kelly from New York Not Impressed Rating: 2 I found that these shoes ran small so I first had a hard time getting them adjusted to my foot. And they are not a high quality shoe. Other members on my team who were fortunate enough to get their feet in them, had runs, tears, and pads fall off. I am currently searching for an alternative and though I'd share...
07/02/06 by Lindsay from Virginia Rating: 4 I just got these. I had dance paws for a year, but they were not that flattering on the foot. They did not match my skin tone. These match my skin tone almost perfectly and cover much less of my foot, which is a plus. I would recommend them to anyone who wants less material than the dance paws.
07/02/06 by Erin from Indiana Rating: 4 For a dancer that has danced for over 10 years, I think that these were perfect for Lyrical/Modern. For never doing those types of dances before, the FootUndeez were a big success!
06/26/06 by Corinne from Boston Rating: 2 They run really small, rip easily, and twist around on your foot while dancing. If looking for a good modern shoe like this style, I would recommend Dance Paws.
06/19/06 by Jill from Ohio Rating: 5 I really like these FootUndeez! They stay on my feet and are super comfy. They run small though, so I wouldn't recommend them for people with super wide feet. Good protection for the balls of my feet too!
06/19/06 by Lauren from Pennsylvania 5 stars! Rating: 5 I use these for modern and they are great. I suffer from hyperhydrosis in my feet, which makes them very sweaty. Therefore, I had difficulty dancing barefoot. I purchased these a year ago and they are great. They are much more comfortable than other modern shoes and I don't slip anymore.
06/17/06 by Heather from Atlanta Not well made Rating: 2 I danced with these for about a month and the pads were completely ripping off by the end. They are not well made and also run very small. I also had major problems with them falling off while dancing. Definitely not a good choice.
06/12/06 by ECJ's Mom from Columbus, OH Not very sturdy Rating: 3 They seemed like a great idea until most of the pairs we ordered for our team ripped. Easy to do turns, and stay in the right place on your foot without riding up or slipping off. Wish Capezio would improve the quality, not the design.
06/09/06 by Dancinkate816 Rating: 5 As a person who has danced for over 13 years, I've gone through all of the "next innovations" in jazz shoes. These by far have held up/been the most comfortable. Foot thongs would always get stiff and hard after a month's use and continue to ride up my feet, and dance paws seemed to cut off all circulation to my toes. These shoes have held up wonderfully. Yes, they don't last as long as a leather shoe, but you shouldn't be expecting that with any kind of half-sole. These are great.
05/30/06 by Courtney from Milford, NH Rating: 5 I totally love the FootUndeez. I think that they are wicked comfortable and make it easier for me to move.
05/27/06 by Anonymous Spend a little more for quality Rating: 2 Our dance team had these and the pads were falling off before we even made it to our first competition. The idea that they were inexpensive was appealing, I guess that we should have spent the money in the first place. Lesson learned.
05/18/06 by Julie from NY, NY Rip Rating: 3 I bought these at the end of January. It is now mid-May and I have a rip in both of my FootUndeez. Luckily, they will last me a little longer before they completely die, but these are not made well enough for you to even bother. They really do make turns feel more comfy so it's a shame that they are so flimsy.
The rips are in the same spot. At the bottom corner of the larger fake suede patch. I guess the stress of the turns is just too much for these little things.
05/16/06 by Dancer from New Jersey Mine Ripped Rating: 2 These are way too delicate. They ripped before they were on my feet. Not made well.
05/14/06 by Gabrielle from Minnesota Rating: 4 They are really good for turning, but they do rip very easy.
05/08/06 by Zoey Rating: 5 I love these. They're so comfortable and easy to turn in!!! I really like that they come in different colors now, its awesome!! These are awesome so get some!!!!
04/19/06 by Ellie from Port Townsend, WA Rating: 5 These are awesome!!! I use them a lot and they have never failed.
04/09/06 by Hayley Great Rating: 5 These shoes are great. They provide enough support to have perfect turns while giving the look of wearing no shoes! They rock my socks!
