Good beginner tap shoe

I bought these shoes two years ago for my then 4 year old daughter. I did size up as suggested in the child sizing guidelines. I especially liked the non-slip pad behind the tap. The shoes also had a surprisingly nice tap sound--not like the ones at the mass discount shoe stores that sell for a comparable price. They had a nice, softly padded lining. My only complaint is that we did not receive the elastic tap ties as stated in the description, only the ribbons. My daughter preferred these over a pair of Revolution tap shoes she had when she was 5 years old, and the width does not run narrow like the Capezio beginner tap shoes. I would recommend these shoes and plan to order another pair for this year.

Too Narrow

I bought these for my 3 1/2 year old dancer and I ordered her street shoe size, right away she complained they were too tight. The length is ok, but they are way too narrow. Be careful when ordering yours.

My 3.5 year old loves these shoes and they fit perfectly. True to size. Good quality for an even better price! Pretty and stay so nice after every class.

I am back to order my daughter's 3rd pair of these. We have three girls and I have no doubt they will last through all of them. I love that they come with the elastic ties, that is all her dance teacher allows as it makes for easy transition. When she outgrows each size I order the next size up. These run a little small, about 1/2 size, as she is a 2 in street shoes and her 13's tap shoes are getting small. Thank you so much for making shoes at affordable prices and excellent quality.

I just bought this for my daughter's beginning tap class and she loves it! I was skeptical about the quality; but when I received it, I was impressed by the clarity of sound the taps made. The shoes run true-to-size and are very comfortable. Definitely a good value for the money spent!

My daughter loves this shoes. The only negative thing about them is wrong sizing. I had to exchange them twice (and that took FOREVER) to finally get size 11 (although my daughter normally wears size 13). And size 11 still was about a half size too big.

Great student shoe!

I bought these for my daughter. These shoes have nice thick taps. The toe taps are riveted on, but the heels are screwed on. They sound much better than any other inexpensive mary jane shoe she's had before. There's a padded insert, which made the shoes very comfortable for her. I especially like the elastic ties that came with them, no worries about tying shoes!
