EXCELLENT
Rating: 5
After five months of my daughter's abuse, they are in great condition. I am buying another pair taking advantage of the excellent price and I will keep them for the next season

This is my first time purchasing ballet slippers for my daughters who are 4 and 3. I had read the reviews and most recommended purchasing the slippers a size or two bigger, so I did. HUGE mistake. They are WAY too big. They would be perfect if I purchased them in their current shoe size. Remember leather stretches and will mold to their feet. I have purchased many Capezio products for myself over the years and have never had problems. I will listen to my motherly instinct and experience from now on and not other people! The other items I order are great! I will be a return customer!

Great shoe for the price
Rating: 5
I bought these for my 3 year old little girl. This is her first year and I didn't want to invest a ton of money until I would know for sure she would stay with it. They are great! Be prepared that they come smashed and crinkled not all pretty and perfect like in the pic but after time they take shape. I will say I went to write my daughter's name in them with a fine tip sharpie and it did bleed...So I don't recommend doing that.

Discount Dance shipped and delivered less than 48 hours of receiving the order. However, these are horrible to have the Capezio name. I purchased a 2.5 narrow which had a lot of space on the sides and did not look like as pictured. You get what you pay for.

Awesome

My daughter loves these. When she does dance recitals, afterwards, she wants to wear them out. My older daughter used to wear these but since she is on pointe she wears Gaynor Minden which she absolute LOVES!

Bad Shoe
Rating: 2
I purchased this shoe for both my 2.5 and 5yo daughters. The shoes were fine for my younger one, but not my 5yo. These were her 3rd pair of ballet slippers and the first time we've had a problem. The heel of the slipper is so thin she can feel all the bumps. To make it more comfortable, she has to wear socks over her tights for cushion. The stitching is already unraveling near the front. The shoes are so new, they're not even dirty yet. Maybe worn them 4-5 times. I DO NOT recommend this shoe.

Great toddler ballet slipper
Rating: 5
I recently bought these ballet slippers for my 3 year old and she loves them. My daughter’s feet are narrow and frequently when buying shoes, everything is too wide. I ordered one size larger in a narrow width and the slipper fits perfectly with some growing room.

Great!

I just recently bought the third round of these shoes for my twin daughters. They love the shoes and tell me they are really comfortable! The shoes always hold up well, I just need to buy a larger size each year due to 4 growing feet. I have always bought one size larger than normal shoe size and have never had a problem. I also have a pair of these for myself and they do hold up well. Great shoe and I will continue to buy them for as long as I can!

Great! Students love it!
Rating: 4
I bought this slipper for my younger ballet students, and they love it! Some students complain it's too wide though. Other than that, it's a great shoe for toddlers.

Great for a beginning ballerina
Rating: 4
These shoes are absolutely perfect for your beginning toddler. These were my very first ballet shoes and they were great. Although they are more for children with a wider foot, they fit all children. Warning: the sizing chart is off by a size or two but what chart isn't. I highly recommend this shoe to dancers ages 3-6. After that, a split sole shoe is recommended.

A great shoe, but not for all kids!
Rating: 4
In my opinion, this is a decent shoe for beginning children - I know little things like the daisy lining appeals to them. However, I am not so sure young toddlers may like them. I bought these for my 2-year- old daughter when I started her in ballet and she did not like them. I also think they did not fit well. I think some picky toddlers might not like them.
I tried Capezio's Bunny Hop slippers for her, and she loves them. She seems very comfortable in them and the little things about them appeal to her. She looks forward to putting them on for class. In my opinion, they are more suitable for toddlers and young children.
I still think this is a decent beginning shoe and when my daughter is older, I will see if I can switch her to these or to a shoe like Bloch's Dansoft. But for other children, perhaps older, I think this would be a good, economical beginning slipper!

Super cute! Order 1 1/2 sizes bigger.
Rating: 4
Cute shoes, great price. This was my first ballet shoe purchase for my 2 1/2 year old. I ordered one size up from her current shoe size and they are very tight. So I would recommend 1 and 1/2 size bigger when ordering.

Very Nice Shoes
Rating: 4
These shoes are great for little feet! I just wish that the black shoes didn't have daisies printed on the inside of them; after all they are suppose to be "child's" dance shoes, not just for girls. My son loves wearing them to his toddler dance class though!

They Are Nice
Rating: 4
These shoes are great for children who do not have an extremely narrow foot. I bought them for my daughter and they have held up very well except they have stretched a lot. She has a very narrow foot and these, even when the drawstring is drawn tight, are really baggy. I have had to buy her another brand that carries them for small narrow feet. I hope they are like these and do not wear out quickly. When her foot grows, she should be able to wear these again later.

Great Starter

The fact that they are great in price, come in wide and hold up well, is great. My older daughter used these for years before her teacher asked that she go to split sole. My younger daughter is now using them and I love the fact that they last 6 months to a year. Thank you

I love this for my toddler, I just ordered 3 more pairs for him. He wears them around the house and his physical therapist approves! I bought them for his dance class but he wears them constantly.

Don't read the size chart!
Rating: 2
1st: I am very disheartened with Capezio on this one. I bought a pair last year for one daughter (street 3 1/2N, slipper 4 1/2M). I expected it would fit a little baggy, and it did, but not terribly. I just ordered another daughter a 3 1/2M and it was huge! It is exactly the same size as the 4 1/2- same length, width, depth. Now I have to pay to send them back. Thanks Capezio!
2nd: The children's shoe page says to order 1 size larger than street. This is correct. If you click "Looking for larger child sizes?" you will view a chart for street sizes 1-4.5 that says to add 2 sizes. Do not follow this chart. You will get a huge shoe!

These slippers fit well but had trouble with the insoles coming out. They are only glued in and not stitched. My daughter wears footless tights and that probably makes a difference. Also, keeping them tied has been a challenge.

Best quality for price

These shoes are great. We have purchased more expensive shoes but they never hold up like these do. My daughter wears these once a week to dance and other times, practicing in between and they are awesome. I cut the ties out of them since they were such a perfect fit.

Loved them!!!
Rating: 5
These were the first ballet shoes I had. Even though I had them nine years ago (when I was three), I remember that I wanted to wear them all the time! I loved dancing in them and still look at them and see how worn out they looked, because I wore them even when I got a new pair!

Very poorly made
Rating: 1
My 6-year-old takes one ballet class a week. I purchased this shoe just before the year end recital and then it stayed in her ballet bag all summer. Two months into the new year, the sole fell out of the shoe, it had never been properly stitched through the leather upper and the lining and the sole. Spend a little more and get a better shoe.

My son has gone through 2 pairs of these already. Not because of wear and tear, but he's just grown out of them. They fit him very well and we've never had any problems.

I purchased these for my 5 year old daughter. They are very comfortable (these are her words). When she moves up in size, I will repurchase.

It is such a great little shoe!!

I purchased these slippers for my daughter and we just absolutely love them!! The one and only problem I have with them is keeping the elastic drawstrings tied. You have to pull them really tight and knot them several times.

Great for wide feet
Rating: 5
My daughter has been in ballet for 3 years now and she has such wide feet, that she can't do canvas, or it gaps a lot and her toes can't even fit. Capezio's Daisy slipper never disappoints us and we know it will always fit. Too bad they don't make the Daisy in a split sole... Thank you

A great buy for a beginner but a more experienced dancer might find that the sole is a little stiff and takes longer to break in. Another great way to go for any level is a canvas shoe. They are cheap for anyone on a budget or w/ fast growing feet. They are split sole which make it easier to point your toes and they are very light weight.

These are wonderful! I am buying two more pairs today for my little girls who are 3 and 5. The quality is great for the price. These slippers are very soft and perfect for beginners. I highly recommend them!

Great beginner shoe...

This is the third pair of this ballet shoe that we have purchased for our little girl. She loves them. They are well made and easy for her to put on. As far as sizing, ordering half size larger always works.

Excellent quality for the price
Rating: 5
I only paid half of what other moms paid for their daughters' slippers and these have a better, smoother fit, the leather is softer and they look a lot more expensive. A good buy for a beginner/intermediate - a more experienced dancer might find that the sole is a little stiff and takes longer to break in. But my daughter is not complaining! Do remember to buy them one size larger.
