12/13/09 by Anonymous from USA Worth The Money!!!
Rating: 5 I have had these shoes for a week so far and they are great! They don't have any holes in them yet. They make my arches look good and they are very light weight and comfortable! The color is a nice pink, not too dark or light. The fitting chart is also correct so that's nice since your ordering online. So far this shoe is impressive.
11/22/09 by Ballet student from Washington, DC Undecided...
Rating: 3 Pro - thin and lightweight, so it's easy to feel the floor and requires no time to break in. Elastics are also very thin and flexible, so it's easy to tie an unbulky knot if you're too lazy to stitch them.
Con - way too thin. Like mentioned before, the seams start to come apart after the first class.
10/27/09 by Blair Fabulous!
Rating: 4 These shoes are great! They mold to your feet right away, and you can feel the floor amazingly through them. The only problem with them is that the center hemline starts to rip after about 3 classes. That can easily be fixed though. I would go ahead and buy a few pairs at once since they are cheap. Overall, I recommend these shoes!
10/17/09 by Kelly from Nevada Rating: 2 These were my first ballet slippers. They are extremely uncomfortable. When I dance in them they crunch my toes, the seam presses into my foot and the pads on the bottom are in the wrong place! They also jam my toes!
10/14/09 by Barbara from Pennsylvania Bad quality
Rating: 3 This is my second pair of Cobra, the first one I got a few years ago and I just got back to this model. I wore them for two classes so far, and the fabric is already ripping on the side seam. I still give it a 3 * because they are very light weight and comfortable, more than any other slippers I tried and they show my arch so well.
10/13/09 by Charlene from San Diego, CA Ripped after one class!
Rating: 1 I normally wear Sansha Pros size 7m, but I hated that they felt wide and were bulky underneath the ball of the foot (due to the folding of the fabric). So I decided to try these ballet slippers hoping that they fit better (I bought my regular street size 7m). When I first got them, they came with large dry glue spots all over both slippers, but I didn't want to have to pay return shipping so I figured I would just try them out. However, after taking just one ballet class, the side seams on the slippers started ripping. Now, all four side seams of the outer canvas layer have ripped. They do fit narrower than the Sanshas and the cut is lower on the foot which makes my arch look better. But considering they couldn't even make it through one ballet class, I wouldn't recommend these.
09/24/09 by LeeAnne from Pine Mountain, GA Rating: 4 Good product, but runs about 1 size too small. If you are a ladies 5, order a 6!
09/09/09 by Mary Rating: 4 I loooove this dance shoe! I crisscrossed then tied the elastics under the sole to get the crisscross look :) Much easier than having to sew them in. My only complaint is that after 1 day of dance class the fabric on the outside has started pulling and separating.. Maybe I'll have to order a full to full 1.2 size larger next time..?
09/01/09 by Jennifer from Aldie, VA Not so great
Rating: 1 I bought these shoes as my very first pair of canvas ballet slippers(I usually bought leather). When my order came in, I was eager to try them on, but they were too small. So you should get a few sizes bigger than your normal street shoe size. They were also very slippery. I would not recommend these shoes. I recommend sticking to the traditional leather ballet slipper!
08/10/09 by Anonymous Never Again
Rating: 1 I purchased these shoes because I have owned capezio brands before. I had worn them for 1.5 hrs (at most) to realize they have completely split along the arch seam. They were not even tight on my foot. Would not recommend. Going back to my Blochs.
07/08/09 by Hannah from Burbank, CA Really Good Shoe!
Rating: 4 I loved these shoes! I got these for a competition and found them wonderful. They made my arch look WAY better than they did in canvas shoes. The only reasons I gave them 4 stars was because they fit pretty tight (so I suggest a size bigger) and the seams on the sides ripped but that doesn't really affect your dancing. They don't really get holes near the toes though which is where my friends that have different brands get. Overall, I really like these shoes! :)
06/19/09 by Jessica from North Carolina Rating: 5 I'm NOT happy with this shoe at all. I have worn them twice and the seam is coming apart to both shoes. The fit is good but the shoe is poorly made.
06/04/09 by Kayla Kay from Bridgeport, WV Rating: 3 These Ballet slippers become dirty really fast, and are made out of poor quality material. =( My daughter was disappointed in what looked to be a good ballet slipper.
06/03/09 by WB Student from D.C not to good
Rating: 1 I had a dance recital and after the first dance recital
the seam ripped and they bunch at the toe...and this is only after 1 class. I don't recommend them this is my second pair this month.
05/24/09 by Chelsea from Pittsburgh, PA Best ballet slippers I have ever owned
Rating: 5 My dance teacher had recommended us getting canvas ballet slippers, so as soon as my leather ones began wearing out, I bought the Capezio Cobras, and I'm never going back. They don't stick to the floor like leather ones, and they're easier for turns, and dancing in general. I totally recommend these!
04/23/09 by Sarah from Texas Great
Rating: 4 I loved these shoes! I got them right before a performance, but I outgrew them in a couple of months. They fit right to my foot, the problem I had was that I have a really high arch and they were a little baggy, but that was it.
04/18/09 by Anonymous Rating: 3 I've had these shoes for a while now and I'm not very happy. They don't show my arch at all and when I point, it bunches up around the ball of my feet making them look like I'm not pointing. Also, the seams on the soles come out easily adding to the bunching problem. They weren't the best shoes I've ever had but they do last a long time (no holes).
03/29/09 by Maddy from Corning, NY Love these shoes!!!
Rating: 5 They lasted me one year dancing on them 3 times a week!
03/09/09 by Disappointed from Kalamazoo, MI. Coming apart so soon.
Rating: 2 I wore this shoe to three dance classes and the seams of the sole are already coming out. Also, they bunch around my heel. It could just be because I have narrow feet though. The elastic that is attached is very thin and cheap. I would not recommended this shoe. You're much better off paying more
for something better quality.
01/27/09 by Dancergirl123 Rating: 5 These are really good shoes.
These are great if you're switching from stretch inserts. Before these I had WearMoi's and I don't notice the difference! Great shoes!
01/26/09 by Angie Nothing fit
Rating: 2 I have normal feet size 9-10 street, and a size 10 absolutely murdered my feet. It pushed my big toe in so much that it went numb. The next size up was too big. I've had this problem with a lot of shoes though. Other than that, it was baggy at the arch and the heel didn't fit properly. They're well made shoes and the cushioning is nice but the fit is pretty bad.
12/21/08 by Barbara from Billings, MT Great shoe with weird sizing
Rating: 4 I love this shoe!!! It is very lightweight and doesn't clump under the ball of my foot or the heel. They make my arches look very nice! They are padded thinly but it makes balancing for long periods of time so much easier. The problem I ran into was sizing. I have a wide foot and I wear a 9-9.5 in street shoes. I got a 9.5 wide and it was huge! Now I wear a 9 normal width and it's still a bit baggy in the heel. I would go half a size down. Overall they're totally worth it!!!
12/18/08 by Smily dancer from Washington They are the best shoes ever
Rating: 5 I have been wearing this brand for years and never had a complaint. I wear a size 11 street shoe, and the 12M fit perfectly. There is nothing wrong with them. I highly recommend these shoes. They last me 5 months before I have to replace them. They are the greatest shoes ever.
11/13/08 by Anonymous Pretty but terrible quality!
Rating: 2 I really liked these shoes because they fit really well and looked good but after about 2 weeks of classes, (6 a week) they started to rip and fray on the seam in the arches.
10/27/08 by Hannah from Boston, MA Rating: 5 I love these shoes. I have very narrow feet and they fit perfectly, much better than the "Juliet" which was very wide. I wear 61/2-7 shoe and have these in a 7 and they fit perfectly. (I think I am the only one who didn't need bigger than street). Very comfortable, I highly recommend this shoe.
10/16/08 by Angela C. from Tallahassee, FL Amazing
Rating: 5 I just got my pair today and they are absolutely perfect! I used to be a leather person, but canvas is probably my new favourite. I did heed the warnings and ordered a half-size up. (I'm 7.5 and I got size 8 for a perfect fit.) These shoes feel great and they give my usually flat, no-arch feet definition. I can see my arch and it's great! I'd recommend these shoes to anyone.
09/18/08 by Jamie from Homewood IL. Great.
Rating: 4 These shoes are great for feeling the floor. I first had leather shoes so canvas was a HUGE upgrade. The sizing is a little off. I'm a size 6 and I bought a 6 and they're a little snug. But they're great because they move very easily. I highly recommend them.
08/22/08 by Meg from California I love these shoes!
Rating: 4 They formed to my feet so well and you can really feel the floor (I took the pads out.) I have narrow feet but the medium fits perfect. I kept sewing them up when I wore holes in them until I had to get new ones for performance. I tried Sansha and they bunched up around my toes and are too thick. I'm going back to Capezio.
07/25/08 by Annie from Texas Best Shoes I Have Ever Tried!!
Rating: 5 They are the best shoes I have ever tried! They're VERY comfortable and soft and light and easy to dance in. I have purchased 5 pairs in the last 2/3 years and I simply LOVE THEM!!! This is a VERY GOOD BUY!
06/23/08 by Katie from Milwaukee, WI Awesome!
Rating: 5 I got these shoes from the local dance supply store because I needed split sole slippers for ballet last summer. They fit my right foot really well but for some reason the fabric kept bunching up on my left toes. I think this is because my feet might just be slightly different sizes. Other than that, I have no complaints.
06/18/08 by Lauren from Nevada Rating: 4 This is a great shoe for high arches. They do wear out fairly quickly. I had to sew up the sides of them within a month. The sizes also run a little small, but it's all worth it for the amazing line they give your foot.
06/17/08 by Anonymous Very good shoe
Rating: 5 These were my first pair of canvas shoes! At first, I had leather and anything is better than that. The sizing is a little off. I wear a street shoe size 6 or 7 and I got an 8.5 in these shoes. They are a little big in the toe area but I will grow into them! I love these shoes because they are a light weight material! A very good buy!!! I found these better then Sansha (my friends have Sansha).
04/25/08 by Carla from Rochester, NY Awesome shoe
Rating: 5 I've had this shoe for about 3 weeks now. It is THE best canvas shoe I have tried. I had Sansha Pros before, and these are so much more lightweight and there is less bulk under your toes and heel. So overall, it really hugged my arch, making it look 100,000 times better than Sanshas. I'll be getting more of these soon!
04/13/08 by Mary OK
Rating: 5 For me, these were really great for the first couple of classes but they wear out too quickly. If you have Capezio pointe shoes (I have Glisses) the sizes are about the same.
03/22/08 by Stephanie Too small maybe
Rating: 4 I wear a size 8 street shoe. I bought an 8.5 slipper and it is snug. Fits the foot prettily but I'm worried it is too snug.
02/28/08 by ActuEllie from Washington DC THE BEST EVER!
Rating: 5 These were my second pair of canvas. My first pair was Bloch, but I grew out of those REALLY quickly. These were so perfect. They lasted me for an amazing nine months. I have also tried Grishko, but they didn't work for my feet- they ripped in two months. These Capezio are the best that I have ever used!!! I am about to buy another pair since my Grishko ripped. But all in all, the price is phenomenal and they last FOREVER. Completely a million percent worth the 13 bucks and 85 cents.
02/19/08 by Anonymous Rating: 5 Love the shoe. But beware of sizing. I wear a 7 street shoe and take a 8.5 in this ballet slipper.
02/11/08 by Ella from Wisconsin Pretty good
Rating: 4 I thought Capezio's "Cobra" ballet shoes were very comfortable. My only complaint, really, is that they get dirty extremely quickly. If you plan to perform in these, you'll have to use a brand-new pair.
01/24/08 by hellokittyballerina from Florida Very nice!
Rating: 5 These were my first pair of canvas slippers, and what a difference from leather! They conform so well to my foot and now you can actually tell my toes are pointing (leather shoes were too baggy). I ordered my street size and they are a tiny bit too small, but they're very soft and flexible so it's not too big of a deal. The inner liner came loose at the toes when I wore them without tights, but other than that I love these! I will definitely buy again, but will get a half size larger.
12/27/07 by Anonymous Rating: 4 Very comfortable but they got holes quickly. That may be because I use them so much though! About 2 hours a day, every day or so.
12/08/07 by Kelley from Texas They run small!
Rating: 4 I haven't done ballet since I was small, but our pointe class this year does a pretty extensive bar warm-up flat foot, so I thought I'd get some ballet shoes. The Cobras look great and are very soft. I like the way they hug my arch. HOWEVER, they do run small, which is a pain when you are ordering online and have to return them. Order 1/2 a size bigger than street and you should be fine, though. I haven't had them long enough to know how they wear.
12/06/07 by Michelle from Tracy CA Absolutely WONDERFUL!
Rating: 5 I must say these are by far my FAVORITE ballet slippers ever! I just received my 2nd pair in the mail today and I absolutely love them! They get really soft after you use them awhile, they fit just perfect. They do run a little small. I wear a 7 1/2 to an 8 in street shoes, and I ordered an 8 and they fit just barely, but they do form to your foot once you use them for awhile. I recommend these to anyone who wants a comfortable, decent priced, wonderful ballet slipper! BUY THESE!
12/05/07 by Laura from Virginia Rating: 5 I Love these shoes. They are by far the best canvas ballet shoes that I ever owned. They make my foot look long and narrow, and really flatter my arch. I would recommend these shoes to anyone who is tired of their old canvas shoes.
11/02/07 by dance_chica8 from Honolulu, HI Very Comfortable
Rating: 4 I have to say, these shoes are exceptionally comfortable and fit pretty well. There is a little extra room in the heel, which can get a little uncomfortable, but good for the most part. Only thing is, the last time I danced ballet was two years ago when I danced for four years, but back then I could fit in children's shoes. So when I got these, I was a little confused with the straps because this is the first time I've worn adult ballet shoes! Overall though, very good shoes.
10/14/07 by Anonymous Great shoe
Rating: 5 My 9-year-old loves these shoes. They are the most comfortable ballet shoes we have found. Sizing was not straight forward. She wears a size 3 in child's shoes and the size 5 women's were very snug. We have just ordered the next size up to have on hand for when they feel too tight. Great shoe for the price.
10/12/07 by Anastasia from Brooklyn Great shoes!
Rating: 5 I gave these shoes a try and I am veryyyy happy with them. They are so light and it literally feels like ur walking on clouds. However, the bad part is that my insole came out and that it started tearing a bit above the big toes. However, they have served me a year and I'm up for getting them again!
08/27/07 by Ballerina girl from Waukesha, WI These are so awesome!
Rating: 4 I love these shoes because they are light and conform to my foot better than leather ones. The only problem is they tear after awhile and my whole insole came out. But I have had them for almost a year and they have worked great!
07/19/07 by Katya from New York Great shoes!
Rating: 5 I really love these shoes. I got them in Spring, and they fit my feet well and are just good shoes in general. The only problem is that they're getting worn out now, but I've been dancing in them a TON since I got them. I'm definitely getting them again.
07/10/07 by A.S. Very good!
Rating: 5 I bought these shoes for a play because they were very light pink, almost white, and found myself wearing them to ballet class afterwards. They are thin and allow you to feel the floor better than any other ballet slipper that I have had. They do get dirtier faster than some other shoes but I just washed mine in the washing machine and let them air dry and they looked so much better. They also hug my foot and show off my nice arches without bunching and blend in with my light pink tights. Great value too!
06/24/07 by Annie from California Sooo good!!!
Rating: 5 I love these shoes! They really flatter my strong high arches. Unlike my old canvas Sanshas, which I hated, these made my feet look more narrow, instead of big and boxy. They are sooo comfortable! I highly recommend this shoe!
06/20/07 by Kay from Dallas, TX Awesome
Rating: 5 I Love these shoes. I have been dancing 20 years and these shoes flatter my arch more than any soft shoe I have ever worn. They breathe well, are not restrictive, and not bunchy at the arch ( which I hate ) but fit like a glove. The only thing that might bother some people is that if you are a serious dancer, these might not last as long as some others. For me, as nice as they feel and fit, replacing them every couple of months is no bother.
06/09/07 by Happy Happy Happy! LOVE IT!
Rating: 5 Oh my gosh! This shoe ROCKS! I used to just use leather, and now this is the only one I want! I have a really strong flexible arch and this makes my foot look really pretty! No bagging for me. Anyway, you HAVE to try this one!
05/07/07 by Ilovedance from New Jersey Rating: 3 The most comfortable shoe I have ever worn, but it made my foot look like a flat bag. Not the best shoe if you want to flatter your beautiful arch.
04/18/07 by Anonymous Not the Best
Rating: 2 These shoes are not the best shoes I have ever worn. They really bag in the arch!
04/18/07 by Ballet obsessed girl Very nice...
Rating: 4 When I first started dancing, I started with leather shoes. My second pair were canvas and what a difference! The canvas shoes really showed how beautiful my arch is. The leather made my feet look like they had no arch at all. The only problem was that, the drawstring would come out, and the pre-sewn elastic was not sewn far enough on my heel. Otherwise, it is a very nice shoe. I would recommend it for people who do not mind spending time on their shoes so they will fit perfectly. And to prevent the drawstring from coming out, put one stitch on either side of the knot. That should prevent the drawstring from coming out, even if the knot does come undone.
04/09/07 by Ballerina13 Wow!
Rating: 5 These were my first pair of canvas ballet shoes and they were so awesome! I took dance about five or six hours a week, and they were so comfortable! I have had them now for three years and they are very worn, but still have no holes in them! The price is very cheap considering the quality of the shoe. Be extra careful not to mess with the elastic because once it comes out, it's hard to get in! But overall, these are great shoes!
04/03/07 by Star Rating: 5 These are my favorite shoes ever. They are so soft. They are a bit thin, but I love them.
02/25/07 by Ness from Pennsylvania Great!!!
Rating: 5 I loved these shoes. They lasted me a year and my toe started poking through the top. But overall, a good shoe!
02/11/07 by Anonymous Rating: 5 For me, these canvas shoes work the best! I used to wear Sanshas for about 3 years, but what always bugged me about them was the extra, bunchy material in the toe area. Although Sanshas seemed to last longer, these Capezios definitely help me articulate and feel the floor 100x better. They are also very soft and create a nice looking pointe and arch of the foot. I would recommend them to anyone, but especially those who don't mind going through shoes quicker, because the material is quite a bit thin, and when you use the floor well, holes show up pretty fast. Overall, I love this shoe!
01/19/07 by Stephanie from Kansas Rating: 1 Ripped within the second month. After that, the shoe was useless, so there is nothing to compare it to. Not a great shoe!!!
12/23/06 by Eden Rating: 5 These shoes were my first canvas and I loved them. They are very durable and if they feel too tight, the drawstring fixes that problem. I still have this pair even though I bought them 2 years ago. They never feel too small either.
12/06/06 by Fee Rating: 5 These were my first canvas shoes, and I can't say I like them much. It's not because they're bad shoes, I guess I'm just too used to leather. The insoles did come unglued, though, and I ended up ripping them out, making the shoe feel even weirder to me. I don't wear them much at all, but they weren't expensive and it's nice to have lots of options in my dance bag.
12/02/06 by Laura from Denver. CO Very Comfortable!
Rating: 5 This shoe is overall very good for ballet. It is comfortable and light, perfect for turns. It rips pretty easily, so it is ideal for the beginner who only takes an hour or two of ballet a week. It's wonderful!
11/20/06 by Olivia from Colorado Good shoes
Rating: 4 The shoes are good but they tear easily and pick up a lot of dirt. Other than that, they're fine shoes.
11/03/06 by Rachel from Amarillo Rating: 3 Really cute. Dyes well. Tears easily.
10/31/06 by Kathleen from Maryland Rating: 4 These shoes are great! Very soft. I've been dancing in them for about 6 1/2 hours a week for two months and they seem to be holding up fine. The lining does bunch up, but I just glued it back down. I have no problems turning in them on marley or wood. I did have to go up about half a size, because I have long toes, and sometimes they get a little baggy. Overall, I really like these shoes.
10/21/06 by Ayala Good..until
Rating: 4 If you make sure you order the right size, these shoes are great. The pre-sewn elastic is very helpful. When the drawstring messed up, however, I had to pull it out. The shoes weren't very good anymore.
10/21/06 by Kathleen from Florida Ugh.
Rating: 2 I hate these shoes. I've had them for maybe a month and they are already "balled up". I do not recommend these shoes.
09/19/06 by Kelly from North Carolina Rating: 3 These slippers are ok. Not for long-term dancing for sure. They got me through 5 months of ballet before they started falling apart from the inside out. I would have thought that I could have gotten more than 5 months out of them. Otherwise, they were very nice; soft and comfortable.
08/30/06 by Hannah from Binghamton, NY Rating: 5 Fantastic, love them.
08/15/06 by Kate from Texas Rating: 5 I really love these ballet shoes. They really make my pointe look a lot better. Also, they are very comfortable!!
08/05/06 by Anonymous Rating: 4 Not a bad shoe, because they are very soft. When I had bursitis in my metatarsal, I almost had to stop dancing, but I found these shoes and was able to keep going because they are so soft. They don't have any thick pleats either. My feet also don't slip around inside and my tights don't get bunched. The worst part was when you pointe your foot, the metatarsal gets all rolly and wavy, making your pointe look a lot less pointed than your feet really are.
07/18/06 by Tiff from Baltimore, MD Rating: 5 Hi, I do own a pair of these slippers. They wear very well and my feet look wonderful in them, very soft.
06/15/06 by Wiztee Rating: 4 I liked these shoes a lot! They mold to your feet and I liked how there wasn't much padding like the Leo's canvas shoes. One thing I didn't like about this, is that the canvas itself was too thin, and I started to get holes after about 5 months. I would probably suggest the Sansha pro canvas shoe better than these because it is almost the same, but the canvas is slightly thicker and they last much longer.
06/12/06 by PrettyEnPointe from Thornton, CO Rating: 5 I really liked them! They were comfy.
06/01/06 by Jerilee from Barbados, Caribbean GREAT SHOE!
Rating: 5 I have had these shoes for over 2 years and have danced on many different surfaces, in different countries from the Caribbean to the USA and they have never torn or got holes! I am now looking to buy another pair. They do fade - but all canvas fades. A great value for money.
05/20/06 by Libby Comfortable but...
Rating: 3 These were very comfortable and great for dancing on wood floors, but when I danced in them on stage floors, or on the trap we use for color guard, the soles ripped out and so did the front part of the toe...
05/14/06 by Maj Good but...
Rating: 3 They were really good, lightweight, and breathable at practice. When it came time for dress rehearsals at the theatre, it was not strong at all. They got torn up from the floor and I bought them the day before!
05/12/06 by Susie Not good for turning
Rating: 3 These shoes are very soft, but I don't like them for turning. They get very "gummy" from the marley floors in our studios. If you're dancing on wood floors, these would work wonderfully for you.
05/08/06 by Ali Rating: 2 I did not find these shoes very flattering at all. Also, they look very white after about 4 week's wear. They were hard to turn in, because of the small sole.
04/25/06 by Kelsey from Philadelphia Great shoes for turning!
Rating: 4 I loved these shoes! They were very comfortable and lightweight. They held up great on the stage, too. I had some problems with the lining coming off. To solve it, I just cut it off. Otherwise, they're great!
04/22/06 by FireyRam from Twin Cities, MN Comfortable, but lining bunches up
Rating: 4 They're lightweight, very soft, not a lot of fabric in the pleats, so they feel good in releve. The inside lining near the toes has started to bunch up; I had to cut it off. Otherwise they're great!
04/11/06 by Sarah Rating: 5 This shoe is very soft! It gave me a lot of freedom in movement and a lot of support! It was comfortable too!
04/06/06 by Anonymous Excellent
Rating: 5 Love this shoe-currently have it. It lasts long, does not rip or tear and is comfortable
04/01/06 by Anonymous Rating: 5 Great shoes! Very comfortable and give great shape to the foot. Don't wear out quickly either even with classes every day! Makes the foot feel much less constricted and like there is less fabric under the foot, so in turns, it's more comfortable!
