I don't see why people are saying that these don't protect your feet! I love this toe pad! When I first got it, I didn't think I was going to like it that much. I think it just needed to be worn into a little bit. After about a week, they were fine! I used them with Bloch Aspiration pointe shoes, and they worked really well! No slipping or falling off of pointe!

momandmeme03/29/2007AMAZED!
Once again WOW! When I saw them I thought, "you've got to be kidding." I was shocked with the plastic idea. However,
they are absolutely wonderful. They cover well,
and are not bulky like I was thinking. You feel the floor and your feet don't get the abuse used by other forms of toe pads. It's worth the price!

Returning dancer03/11/2007 Ohio,NOT THE BEST FOR NARROW TAPERED FEET
The gel at the tip makes pointe work virtually painless yet still enables me to feel the floor. The gel on the longer side is a nice relief for my bunions, even if it does squish to rest above and below but actually on the joint itself. My only complaint is that even the S/M isn't the best for narrow tapered feet. The pads were wider than the box on my pointe shoes, and it would crease up in the tight space. This made for some rather uncomfortable friction along my 5th metatarsal. I gave them to a friend of mine who has medium width feet and only slightly-tapered toes ... she's described them as "absolutely heavenly."

Love to Dance02/24/2007 New Hampshire,LOOKING FORWARD TO THESE!
I used to have Ouch Pouches ... those were terrible. They balled up and squished my toes. My teacher has these and they're supposed to be great! I'm looking forward to them!

Returning dancer02/07/2007PRETTY GOOD
I recently decided to give these a try for an upcoming performance of Kitri in Don Q, and for the most part I'm glad I did. They really do give excellent impact protection, even when hopping on pointe (and for a dancer with tapered feet, that's saying something!) I do find that the gel on the bunion area slides *away* rather than protects, and the "air holes" make the bottom feel irritating. But I also found that by heating them up before putting them on, they helped to break-in the boxes on my new shoes much more quickly. I also tried Liz's freezer tip and it felt lovely after rehearsal was dragging on. So, thank you Liz :)

Gail10/09/2006 Cape Coral, Fl,
I have been dancing en pointe for over 20 years, and these are the best toe pads I have used. The gel molds around my toes in all the right spots, and it feels as if my feet are in bedroom slippers, (especially in a pair of new shoes.) I highly recommend this product.

These are great, especially for dancers who have toes of very different lengths. My first toe is much longer than the other four so I could mush the gel under those four toes to make a more even base. Great for feeling the floor.
