    SUPPORTIVE

I bought this shoe with a narrow foot. The wing run back to the arch of the foot. It is a very tight fit but it give a lot of support. This shoe is very hard to break in and I would suggest hammering the shank and the wings. The vamp is very long which may cause issues with those that do not have a good arch because it will be very hard to get on the box of the shoe. The shoe looks great on my feet: I have narrow, long feet. This shoe is more for practice than stage performance.

AMAZING SHOE, BUT DIES VERY QUICKLY

I have had this shoe for probably 3-6 months or so and i absolutely love them! They look beautiful on my foot. I have a square foot with a "peasant foot" (which is when my first three toes are similar in length) and they are amazing!!!! My feet are strong and archy so they work well on my feet. I love the look and feel of them but I and my mom (who pays for my shoes) doesn't like how quickly they die! :/ So when they die which is usually the shank and box for me and so jet glue will work also. I would definitely would recommend this shoe!!! :D

    NT BAD BUT..

These shoes were a dream the first couple of classes. They made my low arches look great and I could get on top of the box and everything. However, they only lasted a few classes before the boxes died and the shank became too soft. I take pointe twice a week for fifteen minutes each time, and they only lasted a little more than a month! Would I buy these shoes again? No. Maybe they just didn't fit me right, or I was doing something wrong, but either ways I'm getting different shoes next time.

    LIGHTWEIGHT, RESPONSIVE YET DURABLE SHOE

I have low/medium arches and insteps and short toes, and I used to wear Freed Classics in a Regular (short) vamp, which were extremely difficult to find. I switched to Studio Operas and absolutely love them. I find them to have a shorter vamp than regular Studios, a very flexible shank, and a flatter platform than the Classics, which is great for turning and balancing. The break-in time of the box is longer than Classics, but not bad -- especially since they hold up twice as long, or longer! I don't have great feet, but these are beautifully flattering and allow me to easily get all the way on pointe. I love the combination of a lightweight, responsive shoe that Freed is known for, with a durable construction that makes it great for students.
