These are the best soft ballet slippers out there. They are extremely comfortable and do not have any bunched up material under the ball of the foot like most other slippers do. These are very flat and minimalist, just like you want ballet slippers to be. The elastics could be a bit stronger, they seem to not hold well. Sizing is tricky, but accurate. I wear 9.5 street size, medium width. I went with 41, width 2, and they fit well, but I should have gone up to width 3 for a better fit. These shoes mild to your foot and after several classes feel like they fit like a glove. Truly perfect slippers.

Perfect for narrow, low profile, tapered feet- the only slipper I've found that fits my feet like a glove. I love how perfectly flat they feel which makes balancing so much easier. They lasted me about year before getting a hole through the exterior and through the lining. I've washed them on delicate in the washing machine several times without issue. If I had one wish it would be that these would come in a flesh tone or darker pink- they basically look white against my skin tone. Also, the new pair I ordered came with stickers on the sole under the ball of the foot. When removed the sole was sticky where the stickers were which made it more difficult (and squeaky!) when turning.

I was a little nervous about ordering these, because of the many sizing components, but I am very happy with these ballet slippers. I wear the Russian Pointe Rubin Size 40, W3, V2 and I ordered these Andante slippers Size 39, W2, V2. They fit almost perfectly. The only reason I say "almost" is because they are just a tiny bit too small width-wise (I'd be concerned about going up a full width, though). But I am confident that with a few more wears, and a wash, they'll be just where I want them. I like my slippers to fit snugly everywhere and these fit my feet to a T. Not the least bit baggy through the heel, I have a high arch and these hug it beautifully, and the length couldn't be more perfect- snug, but not too snug. I will also mention that I was hesitant to buy any slippers with an elastic drawstring, because I have memories of being a child and needing it so tight that it cut into my heels while dancing. I was happy to find that I did not have that problem with these, no matter how tightly I synched them. Overall very happy and I will certainly buy these again.

    FABULOUS

Great! But let me clarify this, the elastics are only sewn at the BACK OF THE SHOE!!!!! Which means you will have to sew them down in the front. This was not a problem for me as I am an advanced level dancer and like to ensure proper fit. The overall sizing of the shoe is fabulous. A perfect fit. I am a 10 wide in women's street shoes and I ordered 41 and W4, it fits absolutely perfect! I have had for 2 months and they still are holding up!

    STURDY AND CUSTOMIZABLE !

I ordered these shoes based on my size of my pointe shoes.... Not the same size chart. I would say order a width smaller than you think you'll need, or go down a length. Once I got my pair in that were the correct size, they fit like a glove!! I love the way the look on my arches, and they are narrow enough that you can really see my feet. They are on the thick side for the fabric, but that makes me feel like they will probably last a little longer. They were also easy to sew because the lining looks just like the material inside of a pointe shoe! The bottom mass almost a terry cloth feel to it, which makes gripping the shoe to point or turn so much easier. I wear a size 6 street shoes. I wear the RP Almaz V Cut size 37.5, W3, V3. These I ended up buying in a 36, W1, V2.

    NT FOR ME

These slippers are just okay, they are your average ballet flats. These might have worked for other people but not for me, for few reasons. I ordered a 37 w2 v1, and while the vamp size and width were right on, the length was too tight. Unfortunately, they do not make a size 7; sizing jumps right from a 6.5 to an 8. The fabric has absolutely no stretch to it, so there was not any room for my toes to move foreword on releve. As a result, my big toe was going numb in class. I believe that if the fabric was stretchy, I would not have felt discomfort. Lastly, the interior lining was cheap and rough, which I am surprised about, considering it's Russian Pointe brand.

LOVELY SHOES, RUN A SMIDGE LARGE

This are lovely shoes, but I had some fit issues. The 35 was about 1/2 size larger than I expected based on the sizing chart. I suspect that RP's pointe shoe sizing guide is more reliable, since that would have put me in 34.5. I wish DD offered the various vamp lengths, since the V2s were a little high for me.

    BEST CANVAS SHOES EVER!

I love these canvas shoes. They are so beautiful and form to your foot and arch. I have gotten compliments on my feet when wearing them. They are pretty durable! They lasted me 7 months without getting a tiny hole. And even when I did get a small hole, it was still okay because I could just sew it right back up. I love this shoe! It is so comfortable and I love how you can choose the width and the vamp for different foot sizes. I got a size 36 W2 V1 and they fit perfectly!

PRINCESS AND THE PEA OF THE SOFT SHOE...

I am probably the most sensitive you'll ever meet when it comes to the feel of a soft shoe, I have bought at least 20 different soft shoes, but probably more, over the past two years, in addition to ripping out bottoms and resewing in new ones....FINALLY. A slipper that is flat. No weird seams under your toes or lumps to drive nuts. I did get them too wide, save those for sore feet days. Even so, they still were a dream to find, the best out there. I just wish they also came in leather :-/

    GOOD TIGHTS

They are solid, and pretty durable for not a bad price. You really can't cheap-out on tights our else they only last a few wear's, but these were relatively inexpensive and are lasting.

FIT SO WELL YOU DON'T NEED ELASTICS

These shoes are so durable that they took almost a year to get holes. They have one more layer of material than the Sanchas. The fact that you can choose the vamp and width makes all the difference. I ordered all the same specs from my Russian Pointe pointe shoes and they fit so well I didn't need the elasticity and my arch looks amazing! I have never loved a pair of flats as much as these and I have had many, many pairs of flats.

    What vamp to order?

What vamp should I choose? Should I just order the same measurements in these flat shoes that I do for my Russian pointe Rubins?

We recommend all dancers visit a local dance shop and be fitted for a specific shoe. Because all feet are different, and due to the serious injury that can result from ill-fitting pointe shoes, we are unable to make fit recommendations.

Which width should I go with?

I have a relatively narrow foot - I usually wear a B (narrow) in Bloch shoes.

I would recommend either a W1 or W2. If you would like additional assistance sizing this shoe, please contact Customer Service.

Which size and width I can use?

I don't know which size and width choose because I have never bought Russian Pointe. I use Gaynor 7.5N hard shank and i use both narrow and tapered and slightly tapered.

If your street shoe size is a 7.5, you would want to order this ballet slipper in a size 38.0 I would recommend W1 or W2 if your foot is narrow. Please contact Customer Service if you would like additional assistance sizing these slippers.

    Sizing

Is it safe to say that if you wear a 39 in a Rubin, then you would wear a 39 in this shoe as well?

The sizing on the Rubin and this shoe are the same.
