The "Serene" pointe shoe by Bloch features a redesigned insole to assist with demi-pointe, sponge cushion in the pleats to reduce noise, a leatherboard shank and narrowed heel. The new "Ultra V" vamp is combined with Serenade's wide platform to help with lateral balance and gives the dancer a long, slender en pointe aesthetic. Ideal for the dancer with square shaped toes.

    I ABSOLUTELY HATE THIS SHOE!

Grr...this shoe has given me so much trouble- it's really hard-which is good I suppose-but mine were so hard, I had to walk on them and take a hammer to them to soften them up-even a LITTLE. No matter how much rosin I put on these shoes, they still slip-and make it very difficult to dance. They are bulky and awkward-even after being broken in-not to mention very painful. I can only use thick toe pads with these which I dislike because I cannot feel the floor-anything lighter though and I am in extreme extreme pain. These shoes put a lot of pressure on my big toe-Never again!

I love the Serenades, but I'm not sure how much of a difference there is between them and the Serenes. Has anyone tried them both? If so, what are the main differences? Thank you!!!
