This has been easily my daughter's favorite leo. It's comfortable and unique. Therefore, she wore it ALL the time. Because of that, a couple of straps did break more than once (at a couple different spots). I would say that's because she wore it until it was too small and wore it constantly. I would NOT expect that to happen with regular use. I was able to stitch the straps easily and she continued to wear it. It's true to size, maybe slightly snug. It fades slightly (doesn't stay as black as shiny leos but doesn't fade as badly as normal cotton ones).

    VERY CUTE BUT RUNS SMALL

I ordered this in a 12/14 and my daughter wears maybe a 10 so I figured this would fit great. It does not, it runs small and was disappointed that it ran more like a 7/8.

    RUNS EXTREMELY SMALL

I bought two of these leotards for my daughters. They run extremely small. I bought the Intermediate 6x-7 size for my petite 8 year old and it was extremely small, I handed it down to my youngest 3 year old daughter and it fits her! I also purchased a Large 12-14 for my 10 year old and that one fits the 8 year old. I was lucky that I didn't have to deal with returns since I was able to pass them down to the younger sisters and now I've gone back in to order an adult size for my 10 year old. The style is cute and the girls love the look. However my 8 year old complains about an itchy tag, Even after cutting the tag out the remaining tag edges still bother her.

    BEAUTIFUL FIT

My daughter is slight in build and this fit her very well. Her back looks beautiful in this leotard and it seems comfortable.

    VERY PRETTY LEOTARD

I have several friends who own this leo and I wanted to buy it, but it only came in adult sizes, so when it came in kids sizes I was super excited! It is very pretty, but it does run a little small. Usually I order a kids size medium, but on this oneI got a size large. I recommend getting one size larger than you usually would.

    SIZING IS WAY OFF!

I have a very petite 10 year old. I ordered this leotard and one made by Theatricals at the same time - both in a child's medium. The Theatricals leotard fit perfectly with a little room for growth but this one was so tight in the girth that my daughter could barely pull the straps up to her shoulders. I sent it back and exchanged it for a child's large. That one arrived quickly but was still too small. It its oddly proportioned because the width is fine but the length (girth) is very small. I would not recommend this particular leotard unless you have time to deal with trial and error on the size. I finally sent the large back and ordered another Theatrical leotard that I know will fit true to size.

    How small does this run?

I wanted to order this for my 6yo for her birthday. She's very thin: 49 inches, 43 pounds. Should I order an I or Medium? She typically wears size I

This leotard does run small. The best measurement to go by for leotard sizing is the girth measurement. To measure girth, start the measuring tape at the front shoulder indent, go through the legs, then up your back to return to the starting point. If the girth measurement is on the cusp of one size, it is best to go up to the next size.
