I find that there was too much material around my toes in these even though I ordered narrow. I would recommend these shoes for people with a wide forefoot and a narrow heel. I ordered size 12 and it fit perfectly lengthwise for my 9.5 street size foot. I find the color be more of a tan/ salmon than light pink.

    GREAT SHOE THAT RUNS SMALL

I wear size 8 street shoe. First pair I bought was size 9 - could barely squeeze it on. Next pair size 10 - fit OK but low heel back kept slipping off. Final pair size 11- it fits.

NICE FIT OVERALL, FLATTERS MY (ORDINARY)

Sizing: in street shoes I’m a 7-7.5, but if wide is available, it’s always a better fit and I can go down a half size (to 6.5W-7W). The sizing info for this slipper said to go up one from street size (no half sizes). I ordered an 8W, and it has the width I need in the toe (FYI it's a bit smaller overall than the Sansha “Tendu 9C” in 8W that I ordered at the same time). Cut and details: Decent fit but no miracles. The vamp is higher than I expected from the item description, but the sides and the heel are very low-cut, as described. The shoes are unlined, but there's a soft fabric insole glued in with a heel pad underneath. I always reinforce the insole (with stitching and/or glue) on a new pair of shoes, and this was no exception. The color is nice, a darker pink than Sansha’s typical pale rose. Have been wearing them 2-3 classes/wk for couple of months, so it's too early to say how durable they are, but at least the single layer of canvas is on the thickish side. With canvas shoes, it's always a toss-up for me whether the toes or the outsole stitching will wear through first . As another reviewer noted, there’s a right and a left, so you can’t switch feet to make them last longer.

    GREAT SHOE

After wearing a few other brands recently, I returned to using this shoe and realized I missed it a lot. The silhouette shoe is fantastic (I do not have feet to write home about) and it feels great on the floor. I like a shoe that is durable and supportive; this fits the bill on both fronts. It will be difficult for me to try another shoe.

    AND THE WINNER IS...

I don't often write reviews on dance shoes because I personally don't find them all that helpful- everyone's feet are different, everyone has there own preferences, etc. But I recently went on a quest to find a canvas ballet shoe that would flatter my less than stellar feet and after comparing 5 different styles, these are the unequivocal winner!!! They have a sleek low profile, no extra bunching around the heel, and they hug the arch beautifully... Which leads to the only downside: the arch shape is due to the right and left foot design, but this also makes it impossible to switch shoes (I personally try to alternate mine so they wear more evenly and avoid holes) but I'm willing to trade that off for the silhouette. If you really want this ability, I recommend the Sansha "Silhouette" which came in second for me- not quite as sleek, but still had a nice arch hug and minimal bunching. I found that they fit true to the sizing chart: I wear and 8 street shoe (medium to wide foot) and the 9M fit me nicely. If you were not blessed with beautiful ballet feet this is the shoe for you!!! (Though I'm sure it would look and function just as well on those of you with lovely feet too)

    Are these in store?

Do you happen to know if both of the KH Martin styles are available in the Rancho Cucamonga store? If not, is there a way for a couple of sizes to be shipped to try some of them on?

The ballet slipper you referenced is not available in our retail stores. They ship from an alternate warehouse. You may place an order for different sizes online and return whichever sizes do not work for a refund.

How close to the color in the photo is pink?

Wow, that looks really pink, but otherwise the description of the shoe appeals to me. I've had Sanshas and Blochs before and I'm used to their color (not overly pinky pink). Is this more like the color of bubblegum? Or is the picture just a little wacky?

Color displays differently from one monitor to the next, so it's entirely possible that the photo looks a little weird on your screen. Holding my shoes up next to my monitor, they are paler and peachier than the picture. I wouldn't call these "really pink," and certainly not "bubblegum." The pink is a tiny bit darker than standard Sansha pink, but not as dark/fleshy as Bloch pink. The undertone is somewhere between pale salmon and dusty rose, not at all princess or bubblegum. And like most canvas shoes, they fade a bit with repeated washings. Hope it helps! - Anonyme (03/23/2015)
