These pointe shoes feel really comfy, but they did die a bit quick. I just think it was because of the amount of pointe I do, not really the shoe's shank. I currently use these kinds, but I think I would want to try a different type of shoe. Capezios do fit me best, so If anyone knows a Capezio shoe with a hard shank, that would be wonderful.

Angel2205/09/2012COMFY AND LOOK BEAUTIFUL
These shoes are fantastic. Each pair lasts me about 4 months, and i dance for about 4 hours each night, so they're durable as well. As soon as i started dancing in this shoe, i won't switch for any other shoe. They look beautiful on my feet, and are so comfortable. Plus, i have absolutely NO arch, but this shoe gives me a pretty one. I love this shoe, and would definitely recommend it to anyone who dances en pointe, whether they're just being put up, or have been dancing for 14 years like i have.

maddieb04/28/2012DIDN'T LAST VERY LONG
My first pair of pointe shoe's were the regular Glisse, and because I have strong arches and a nice point, I ordered the Pro so it might last longer. My first pair lasted me 4 months.
At least two months of wearing my glisse pro's in pointe class, one of my shoes was just deformed or something because in both feet, it felt like there was a rod going through my toe, and it wasn't like that with the opposite shoe. So for a while, my pointe class was VERY uncomfortable. In between each combo i would be on the floor trying to do something for it.
These shoes lasted me only three months. I wouldn't recommend this shoe if you have strong feet.

These shoes are great. I've had them for over 8 months and they're still in great condition, even with me taking dance four times a week.

Jo06/09/2008 North Carolina,UGG... NO REALLY
If you could rate these shoes a 0, I would. They are perhaps the ugliest shoes on the planet. I have never met a person who liked them and I have never seen them look good on anyone's feet. They are cut too high in the heel. The vamp is ugly and difficult to break at the 3/4 point. The shank is odd looking. Lastly, it is extremely difficult to get over the box on these shoes, even for an advanced dancer. I have met many teachers who recommend these shoes to beginners. I have only one thing to day to that. "what in the world?" So anyway... DO NOT wear these shoes. Try the Bloch Balance if you like the wide platform.

Crystal04/03/2008 Boston,
I've been wearing these shoes for a while now (after switching from Glisses) and love them. I have wide toes and an extremely high arch and they create a great line. The high vamp could definitely be a problem for some people but it just depends on your foot. For me it's perfect, and although they do break quickly, most pro or semi pros will break any shoe in a couple of days, so it isn't a big deal for advanced dancers. NOT for people who need a ton of support from their shoe.

Esme 01/19/2013 Age: 17 or under How to select the strength of the shank?
I have really flexible feet so I need the hardest shank, would that be ww? Thanks!
Style G117 has a HARD shank. The WW is an extra wide width for this particular shoe. - DDS Customer Service (01/21/2013)
