    WORK GREAT FOR ME!

I bought these to wear for a beginner flamenco class. They are very comfortable and fit well. I got my street shoe size and it was perfect. Like the other reviewers, I didn't think these needed any breaking in and I wore them to class straight out of the box. They do make some squeaky noises while I'm dancing but that's probably the pleather relaxing with wear. I highly recommend these. The pleather is a higher quality than other inexpensive shoes so it looks nicer and is more flexible. I have only owned one other pair of character shoes and these are definitely superior.

I have owned so many pairs of character shoes over the years and recently bought these and they are my favorite so far. They fit perfectly and are comfortable and were not slippery at all.

    SO COMFORTABLE

When I bought these, I was dreading breaking in a new pair of character heels, but they were perfectly comfortable from the moment I put them on! The padded soles are a lifesaver. They fit true to size. I highly recommend these.

    FABULOUS! LOVED THE 2

I used these character shoes in my school's production of Guys and Dolls and they looked amazing. They were very comfortable and hardy scuffed. I ordered my street size which fit perfectly (although I do like my shoes to fit snugly). The heel height is perfect and adds great length to your leg :)

    GREAT AFFORDABLE, DURABLE SHOE!!

I ordered a pair of these in black several years ago. They are comfy and ready to go out of the box. After numerous shows, I had visible scuffs and eventually the strap popped off, but a quick polish and repair at my local shoe shop and they look and feel like new. Only caution, they don't make great tap shoes. I found the sound to be a little muffled, compared to other tap shoes. The heel holds up extremely well. I am purchasing another pair in tan to have as character shoes. Opting for Capezio t-straps for taps, though. Size is very true to street. I highly recommend this shoe to anyone who is hard on your feet.

    GOOD BUY FOR THE PRICE

I purchased these shoes for Swing Dancing while I was on a pretty tight budget, and they're great for the low cost. The t-strap slouches a bit on my foot sometimes, but other than that, they have held up great so far. The cushioning is good, although I wish they had the Achilles notch that some other Character shoes have.

We had to buy these for a samba dance, and most people on our dance team had wicked blisters. The sides are really, really stiff and hard, and even moleskin did not prevent blisters on the side of the foot. The t-strap was very uncomfortable as well, just causing even more blisters. They did not do anything to your arch after dancing and walking around all day, and I guess could be considered comfortable that way. But I would still not recommend these.

These shoes are comfortable, but I got my street size and they are a little tight. I would recommend getting half a size up.

    VERY NICE :)

Leo's "New York T-Strap" character shoes are comfortable, durable, and easy to break in. I also love the fact that they're agreeably priced. I wore a tan pair when I was a Mazurka dancer in Coppelia, and I wore a black pair when I was in a production of the musical, "Thoroughly Modern Millie!". Both held up very well, and I never got a single blister! :) These black ones are so cute that I wear them out in public.

GREAT VALUE, WEAR THEM ALL THE TIME

I own these shoes in tan, and just used them for a run of Hello Dolly. Even though I danced more than anyone else in the show, my shoes held up better than anyone else's! I was very pleased with the fit, and the t-strap looks cute.

    COMFORTABLE, AFFORDABLE, SCRATCH EASILY

I ordered my street size and they fit perfectly. They were very painful in the heel for the first 5 or so hours of dancing, but after that, fit like a dream. They're now more comfortable than any other shoes I own. They're a great starter shoe, I use them for a little bit of everything. Swing, salsa, tango, blues, and waltz. I did find, like most, that there was little traction, but I like to be able to slide some and they got better after wearing in. Only problem: paint comes off easily. The first time I wore them I scratched both shoes up on both sides. Oh well, still a great shoe for the price. I love 'em.

    CUTE AND COMFORTABLE BUT...

After breaking these in, which don't take long, they were quite comfortable. One thing though was that they scratch so easily. I have to do a split at the end of my broadway routine and after just one practice, the back of the shoe was getting scratched up.

    GOOD SHOE, BUT...

I love the shoe, but I am a true size 10 in women's and I listened to the reviews below that said to order a 1/2 size larger and they were too big. So make sure you know how big your feet are, really, before you choose a size.

With my luck...my character shoes broke a week before my show opened. I ordered these, had NO time to break them in, I got ZERO blisters. My feet didn't hurt at all. And thanks to all the reviews, I ordered them a 1/2 size bigger and they fit like a dream!

    EXCELLENT SHOES!

I loved these shoes. I'm a swing dancer, not a tap dancer, but they worked perfectly for swing - the soles were smooth with enough structure for the stomp steps. Half the girls in my group have these shoes now. After 4-10 hours a week of dancing for two years, the soles started to wear a bit. Once there is a hole I will definitely be buying a new pair of these!

    GREAT SHOES!

I love these shoes! They are so cute and I get so many compliments from people telling me how cute these shoes are. For a high heel, they are so comfortable, even after intense dancing 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. They make your feet look really good too! The only problem I had was that they got scratched up because I have the tan ones, but these are really good shoes!

    GREAT SHOE FOR THE PRICE!

A great shoe for the price. Very comfortable, I've bought a lot of character shoes and these are definitely one of the best. However, the leather upper does wear off with extreme dancing, invest in a black marker if you plan on wearing them for multiple shoes.

I have these in tan, and they are so comfortable! They are much more preferable than Capezio's t-strap shoes (which I also own); the straps don't cut into my feet and the cushioned bottom is excellent.

    REALLY COMFY

You'd think dancing in high heels would be irritating and painful, but not with these. LOVED THEM!

NO TRACTION, WEAR OUT TOO QUICKLY.

These are an excellent choice if you are only going to wear them for one run of a show. I used them in Cabaret, but after only one rehearsal, the black coating on the upper began scratching off. This is fine if you don't slide the side of your foot on the floor, but sliding down a banister and into the splits killed them! They are also very slick, which could be good, depending on what you use them for. However, I love the look and they are relatively inexpensive.

The shoes are very cute and comfortable to wear and dance in, but invest in shoe glue. I've had trouble with the soles coming off in the front, and they don't have very much traction.
