Capezio's "Piccadilly" has a unique combination of leather and neoprene upper that provides flexibility and comfort and is the most technologically advanced character shoe. The unique pattern combines the stretch and comfort of your favorite jazz shoe and combines it with the classic look and feel of a character shoe. The sole is newly engineered to provide the support and flexibility character shoes have been waiting for. Flex construction is a unique fusion of a leather and micro sole. The sole materials are fused at the flex joint to provide the articulation every dancer needs. Full pig sock lining and the padded insole provide comfort and stability. The ankle strap has a gently sculpted style and provides support. The 2" flared heel provides a large strike zone for added stability. The elasticized top-line eliminates gapping and the micro bottom sole extends fully to the heel providing natural heel breasting for the maximum amount of support. 2" heel

PRETTY BUT DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SHOE

Pretty shoes, but they run very large! I would not buy online. I tried mine on and walked around in them. It took dancing in them to really and truly feel how large they were. Of course I scuffed the bottoms of them while dancing and the company would not accept the return. So now I have $50+ shoes which have tissue stuffed in the toes so I can dance in them. Very disappointed that at least the company could not clarify that they run large. Years ago it was not uncommon for companies to tell you how their shoes ran or to buy so many sizes smaller/larger than your street shoe size.

This is an excellent character shoe. I used it in a musical I was in a few months ago and it was perfect, however I do have one complaint. Although I had tights on, my feet were sweating and when I was turning or doing a difficult dance move, my foot was swinging around a lot in the shoe, but overall a great shoe. It gave a lot of support to my feet.

YOU NEED THE RIGHT SHOE SIZE

These shoes are very comfortable and great to dance in but you need the right size. These do not run same as street size, you need a whole size down for them to be comfortable and danceable.

    TAKING OFF MY TAPS

This shoe fits my foot perfectly. I bought these a long time ago right when they first came out. I was so excited about the neoprene flexiness which is a blessing and a curse. I think I'm the first to review these as taps but they're really very uncomfortable for anything more than gentle chorus tapping. There is no support for doing wings and over zealous toe pointing results in the toes popping out. So I'm taking the taps back off but going to enjoy them as charies until they die.

    THE BEST SHOE EVER!

I'm a dancer but I'm a wedding singer too. I bought these shoes for Latin dances but I wore them one day when I was very tired and I must sing on a wedding party and my feet didn't hurt me. Even when I sing and dance about 4 to 5 hours continuously. If you practice tap or Latin dances, these shoes are perfect for your feet.

I just ordered this shoe. I wear a street size 7 but fit the 6.5 size character shoe better. I was very disappointed because it hurt to releve in these shoes. There was a lot of pressure put on the top of the toe area. Plus, the shoe was very narrow (I ordered a Medium width). I had to return them and bought the Manhattans and student Footlights instead at a local dance store. The lady there says she never tries to sell the New Yorkers because she hasn't met one person who liked them or whose foot it didn't hurt. If it had neoprene across the whole top part it would've been comfortable, but the leather part in between the neoprene really hurt my tendons.

I love these shoes! The sizing was true to street shoes, although they do run a little narrow. They don't need much breaking in. When I wore them for the first time, I felt like I'd had them for years. I highly recommend them!

    ABSOLUTELY THE MOST COMFORTABLE SHOE

This is absolutely the most comfortable heeled shoe I have ever worn. I have hard to fit feet, with narrow heels and wide toes. The shoe fits perfectly.
